This is such an epic collection. I bought it for Rock n Roll Racing, everything else cherry.

If there’s one thing I’d like to see them add, it’s save states to the definitive edition. Makes no sense they added it to the retro games but not to the definitive version.

I own an Xbox and I’m not a Gamepass subscriber, but if it was added to Switch I’d subscribe in a heartbeat.

Let’s do this.

Thank goodness for emulators and ROMS. I’ve been safely preserving entire retro game libraries for generations.

Xbox has really done a great job of offering backwards compatibility too. Happy to pay for retro games if companies actually provide them.

Glad to hear Thomas Whitehead is back. And nice to see Kate Gray front and center, the industry needs more women's voices.

I bought $2500 worth of action figures in the past 3 months alone. We’ve all got problems.

But for video games I’ve only spent $20 so far this year. Not too shabby.

My joycons are translucent atomic purple with a d-pad and they are awesome.

I want to like this game, but I really hated the turn-based gameplay it had on the 3DS. I don’t understand the appeal of this type of gameplay at all.

The Switch Pro needs more RAM and a faster CPU. The screen is fine.

Are you insane? The SNES version is essential to this collection. Despite the improvements to the Definitive Edition, I like the SNES original better.

The Wii was the stupidest console of all time. Never understood the appeal of swinging around a TV remote to play games that looks worse than crappy mobile phone games. So glad I skipped that generation. And yeah the N64 controller is not far behind, glad I skipped that gen too. I love Nintendo but they make some lame products sometimes.

I’ll pick this up along with the rest of the collection when it’s released.

Holy crap! Rock n Roll Racing!? I had to read that 3 times and look at screen shots and watch the video to make sure I read that right. RNRR is one of the best SNES games ever, but didn’t think we’d ever see it again. Sweeet!

Needs online play. We’re in a pandemic.

It was surprisingly boring. The only interesting news was Splatoon 3, and that almost seems too soon for another sequel.

They need to release a Darkstalkers collection with online multiplayer.

Why does Nintendo always do something stupid when it comes to online play? Why can’t we play with friends or randoms online? They want to add value to NSO but they have no clue how to do it right.

This is why people download and emulate Nintendo’s ROMs. I feel bad for anyone who doesn’t.

So what they’re saying is I should never buy a game published by Versus Evil.

I spent the weekend playing SF Alpha 2 and 3, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, and X-Men vs Street Fighter on my MVSX Neo Geo arcade cab. (Thanks Hylostick X team!)

Super Mario 3D World is the reason I bought a Wii U. It’s the best Mario game ever made. Stoked to play it again on the Switch.

That’s like saying the Xbox Series X will never be fully utilized because their games must be compatible across the Xbox ecosystem. If it works for Microsoft why wouldn’t it work for Nintendo?

As an older gamer myself (47), I can relate to this. Gaming is very hard on my wrists in particular, but also my shoulders and back. I can only game for so long nowadays before my wrists start hurting, especially my left wrist.

It’s bad enough that I need to step away from gaming for weeks at a time to give my wrists and body a break. If I get bored of a game at all I use it as an excuse to take a break from all gaming. It ends up being healthier for me overall to take these breaks, and allows me to still come back to gaming instead of quitting altogether.

The fact that the story is based around a US Army soldier means the movie was funded by the military, and will likely be full of Army ads. I cannot stand movies funded by the US military, they are the worst. And since when did the US Army have anything to do with Monster Hunter. What a load of crap.

The 3DS is still the king.

The demo is dope. Definitely looking forward to the full game.

The best Kirby game is Kirby Planet Robobot for 3DS, and it’s not even close.

In my opinion 3D World is the best Mario game of all time. It nails everything great about every Mario game & more all wrapped up in one fantastic experience. It’s Nintendo at their best. Stoked to replay it this time in online coop.

Their new 4-player X-Men cab is the one I’m looking forward to the most.

You forgot to include Robotron 2084 and X-Men 1992.

Too bad there’s no folders to put all of these games in. I’ve purchased every Neo Geo game and many of the arcade classics, and it’s very annoying to not have any way to organize these games into folders.

Needs online multiplayer. There's a global pandemic going on, we're supposed to be social distancing, and it's 2021. Any coop game released these days should also offer online coop.

@ChromaticDracula That's probably because the final trailers for the game showed off the classic pixel characters, but didn't mention anything about playing the entire game with pixel art; you had to buy it to discover that surprise.

I don't think the Xbox version included the retro mode. Not sure about the PS version. But for Switch you can play the entire game with pixel art and it looks just like the original Streets of Rage trilogy.

@Slowdive The pixel filter applies to the whole game, not just the characters. Background art, characters, everything can be played with pixel art.

I hate Nintendo for not giving us folders. They add completely pointless useless crap like a NSO app to the home screen, yet can’t do something as simple as folders.

@Slowdive Steeets of Rage 4 has a pixel filter option, just turn it on and the entire game can be played with classic pixel art.

The truth is all video games are aimed at kids and teens (teens are what they mean by “Mature”). Those of us who are older (I’m 47) are engaging in childish activities by continuing to play video games. Nothing wrong with that, it’s called fun. But make no mistake: gaming is childish.

They need to release the upcoming KoF XV for Switch.
