week after week of shovelware for the switch lately. nothing but garbage. even the neo geo games have dried up recently. nothing much on the horizon either.
That sucks, but at least they’re being transparent about it. Nintendo has an annoying tendency to keep everything tight lipped, even if it’s at the expense of their customers. Glad to know what’s going on. I wouldn’t be surprised if Prime 4 isn’t released until Switch 2 at this point.
I’m expecting MK9 to be the launch title for Switch Pro/2.
MK8D will be the only MK for current Switch. It will be an unorthodox move by Nintendo, not releasing a new MK for the current console, but this is a new Nintendo with new leadership. And with MK8 still selling so well, they could easily ride it out until the release of the next gen Switch. MK9 would be a perfect launch title.
And screw this comment rule that you can’t just leave one world. Plok! was all that needs to be said, yet I’m forced to write these words just so I can comment at all.
The DLC is expensive but it’s worth every penny. This game is dope. I do hope they add more stages though, that’s the one thing that’s lacking, it’s a little light on battle arenas.
I don't get it. I didn't get it during the Wii U era either. All I see is a web page with a bunch of Nintendo first party games offered at full price. Is this supposed to be some sort of bargain?
The web site doesn't explain it and neither does this article. And what does any of this have to do with being humble?
The Switch Light will launch in 2019. It will be smaller overall with a 5" screen, and the controls will be built in and not detachable. It will retail for $199.
Joy Cons and Pro controllers will be fully compatible via Bluetooth. Sold separately.
A new Mini Dock will be available to connect your Switch Light to a TV. The mini dock will be very small, meant for portability. It will be sold separately for $65.
The Switch Pro will be released in 2020. It will be an iterative upgrade, like a new iPhone. It will go head to head with the PS5 and Xbox Scarlet. It will retail for $399.
You got Metroid, Zelda and Luigi right. But the rest of the list is highly suspect. Including Blast Ball and Ziplash really weakens your list significantly.
I'd add to this list: Kirby Planet Robobot and Super Street Street Fighter 4 3D.
I feel bad for anyone who's still clinging onto physical carts. Your games are always incomplete and will be useless in 10 years from now, missing all of the day one patches and DLC, and in many cases missing most of the game too. Combined with your constant delays for pre-order arrivals, need to switch carts for every game, something else to carry, etc. You people are living in the Stone Age.
I personally love digital pre-orders. I can download the game and its icon now to my Switch desktop, and it sits there among my other games as if I already have it. It would be like pre-ordering a physical game, then your copy arrives, and you can admire the box among all your other games, you just can't play it until release date. I digitally preordered ToeJam and Earl last night; it's now loaded onto my Switch along with the rest of my game collection, sitting there waiting to play. It's glorious!
This is a perfectly fine collection of Atari games, but I don't understand why they can't be bothered to secure a license for some of the 3rd party classics like Pitfall. This is like the 10th time this collection has been released, yet they still can't manage to cough up an extra penny or whatever for licensing.
Donkey Kong's fur and the terrible 320p or whatever resolution of the Mii Fighters were the first things I noticed. They both look atrocious. Kong looks like he stepped out of an N64 game and the Mii fighters look like a fuzzy pixelated blurry mess. Amazed Nintendo would released their biggest game of the the year with such crappy graphics. Makes the whole game seem unpolished.
But the thing I'm really bummed about is that they removed the ability to play online with a CPU partner in private matches. Now they've added Squad Strike which is better but you can't play it online, which is worse. The whole online gameplay of Ultimate has been downgraded from Smash Wii U and is missing several online gameplay options.
This game is Smash for Switch and it's good, but it's hardly Ultimate by any stretch of the imagination.
They need to add Squad Strike to online multiplayer!! This is the best new addition to the game, but it sucks we can't play online. I want to be able to play 5v5 matches online with my brother. Why add this mode but not let us play it with our distant loves ones?
The controls in this game sucked. All they'd need to do it release an HD version with right stick controls and they'd be golden. But they won't and this game will always be a failure IMO because of it. Goes into the same category as Star Fox Zero for unnecessary forced awkward controls.
Notice Nintendo picked up zero awards this year (after winning game of the year last year). Speaks volumes to how weak their first party output has been this year. Smash is their only big release for 2018. I expect them to come out guns blazing for 2019.
I'm stoked about this game and already preordered it, but no online multiplayer is a huge missed opportunity. I have 2 family members that would have gladly bought this game and played it with me, but without online multiplayer they won't even bother. I'll still enjoy it, but it's 2018, online should be standard for multiplayer games.
This is why people download Nintendo’s ROMs. Waiting for this slow poke company to release their own game library would be maddening and never complete.

Super Mario 3D World is the best Mario game ever made, and it's not even close. Can't wait for this one to make it to the Switch.

Well then Nintendo should pony up some cash and help pay for the port. I'd buy it again if it came to Switch.

Everspace, Sega Megadrive Clasics, and Smash.
Re: Deals: There's Really Never Been A Better Time To Buy Starlink On Switch
I bought the digital deluxe version at launch and it was worth every penny.
Starlink is the Switch's best 3rd party game, and the best thing to happen to StarFox since the SNES.
