Re: Double Dragon Neon Elbows Its Way Onto Switch This Month

@ChromaticDracula That's probably because the final trailers for the game showed off the classic pixel characters, but didn't mention anything about playing the entire game with pixel art; you had to buy it to discover that surprise.

I don't think the Xbox version included the retro mode. Not sure about the PS version. But for Switch you can play the entire game with pixel art and it looks just like the original Streets of Rage trilogy.

Pre-kickstarter:
“The Japanese studio is indeed reviving the game for modern consoles, and yes, it's using Kickstarter to make it happen.
It's looking for $50,000 for funding for The Wonderful 101: Remastered, with the Switch version being the first to unlock.”

Post kickstarter:
“The actual reason we decided to do a Kickstarter campaign was not for funding at all, it was more about gauging interest in The Wonderful 101.”

Anyone who backed this game got scammed. Platinum even admitted it. Millions of dollars raised for a game that was already complete, they straight up lied to their fans. Then they pulled that stupid April Fools trick. Now kickstarter backers are getting burned with late arrivals and added fees. I don’t trust this company, the money and success has made them arrogant and shady.

@Wargoose MK11 has a lot single payer content and it’s very good. It blows away SS and KoF in that respect. I just feel like you can only do so much battling the computer, their movesets are ultimately predictable. The only way to truly challenge yourself and become good at any fighting game is to fight real people. Which is why for me, single player contents is practice at best, fluff at worst. I'm sure you know this though.
