Since we've become a four Switch household, I'm buying less digital and more physical than I have since the DS. Nintendo need to find a way that we can easily share purchased digital games before that will change now...

@MirrorFate2 I played F-Zero earlier in the week, I played F-Zero 99 today. It does really seem to be F-Zero. If you think F-Zero is crap then this probably isn't the game for you.

@sanderev While the ultimate goal of a business is to make money, that doesn't mean that everything they do is purely driven by that desire.

@MirrorFate2 Well, it is a bit silly to hate something you haven't played. It reminds me of my 5 year old when he says he doesn't like a food that he's never even tried!

@Luke937 Can't say I've had too many damaged game cases from Amazon, and we must have ordered a few over the last twenty years or so.... We did buy a second hand switch lite off Vinted a couple of weeks back that was shipped purely in a folded plastic carrier bag with some sellotape around it. We heard the noise of the postman shoving it through the letter box, miraculously it was in one piece!

Worse than I imagined!

@jco83 In fact the scalpers would be the ones already checking the store on a daily basis for new stock. If anything, it being posted here will put more stock in the hands of genuine customers and less through the scalpers.... Perhaps you are the scalper, hence your annoyance?

@jco83 Yes, the scalpers all wait until my comment to purchase N64 controllers... Scalpers must have gotten pretty rubbish lately! Wait until I tell that PS5's are in stock at Amazon!

@RandomAndy Cuphead sold a huge amount, the original was on 5 million sales two years ago, and now the DLC has sold 2M copies. I think they broke even about 2 weeks after it released on Xbox back in 2017. Reading an article back in 2018 they Studio MDHR said they originally hoped it would sell a million.

@Astral-Grain Which games? Could it be that their shortcomings hampered them to a greater degree, or perhaps the games were pants to begin with?

I've been streaming on PS Now/PS Plus for a couple of years now and it works really well. I'm not sure what's gone wrong here!

I've got back into Broken Sword 5 this week. Very enjoyable and the hint system is good for those of us whose pointing and clicking ability has gotten rusty with age...

Not particularly impressed by their Mario Kart Splatoon game, but I am highly impressed with their live Sonic Marble Zone jazz cover! Fantastic stuff!

@Mattock1987 Gamespot's review doesn't seem to be complete, the reviewer seems to have played the single-player but only dipped in to the multiplayer so far! I guess that 7 could change?

Blu-ray is up year-on-year? That's the figure that surprised me the most (with vinyl album sales higher than CD being a close second)

I think most of our electricity bill goes on the Sky Q box and router... Those things consume far too much.

@ecco6t9 No, completely natural. The history of the company is rather incredible when you read their wiki page. They must have done an absolutely incredible job of raising funding for all of these takeovers, but I do have a slight concern that it will all come crashing down at some point from sheer over-expansion without the profits to match.

I think Nintendo's thinking on the matter is that if everything is available day 1 in an on-line game, then it will peak early and the user base will drop off.

By drip feeding new content, they hope to keep the game active for longer and sustain sales over a longer period...

And surely, it's better to have an up front price than milking people for money via the usual F2P practices.

I hate that the largest part of game design at the moment is how to hook people in and extract as much cash as possible out of them...

I refuse to even start to play F2P games now, as I know at some point they're going to make it increasingly awkward to carry on playing without forking out a continuous stream of cash....

@dadrester We've only tried the air hockey one in multiplayer so far, he's better than me sadly... I'm not sure what it says about me, but I'm quite into just doing the laundry and cleaning up the litter! Looking forward to unlocking more of the arcade games (I have 6/7 at the moment I think).

I will pass on the message to him, although I think I'm far more excited about the game director being on here than he is (he sort of gave a reluctant shoulder shrug when I mentioned it!)

For those that don't like the sound of the 'chores', in some ways the job part feels similar to Papers, Please or Not Tonight.... I've been priding myself on getting freshly laundered clothes out with an S-Rank every time

My seven year old son and myself are both totally hooked on this game! I came downstairs at 7am this morning and he was already up doing laundry!

@abdias Except football for a large chunk of the potential market is a different game entirely, and I think the term soccer is pretty well known?
