I wouldn't use Metacritic user scores as any sort of persuasive element when choosing whether or not to buy a game... They're far too polluted. Does anybody?

It's strange, the Guillemots seem to have fought for decades now to keep Ubisoft independent and fend off outside takeovers. It seems that perhaps they've given up the fight somewhat...

Of course streaming is the future. If it gives the same or better experience as having the console running the game then why wouldn't you?

It's still a way off I'm sure, but streaming stuff off of PS Plus lately, I genuinely don't think people would be able to tell it wasn't running native...

@boxyguy It's simple. If a game is light on content at launch don't buy it. If the content appears later on, then buy it.

As far as I can see, these are relatively minor things that Nintendo are patching to improve the game. I bought the game with no expectation of anything extra to be added other than Golf.

@SteamEngenius Just get Mario Kart 8, no chance of buyer's remorse since it's fantastic.

My time is more valuable than my money so I won't be wasting any on this game unless it's fantastic (or the kids spot it!)

@Kiz3000 Switch Sports is nice, but very barebones.... It's only seen occasional play since we picked it up in launch week. Probably about 4-5 hours total!

I honestly didn't realise Bayonetta 3 had been given a date until I just saw this.... With individual announcements there's a lot more chance of me missing something than with a nice concise summary of all the cool stuff coming up.

As for GX, perhaps we'll see that if we ever see Gamecube games on Switch. I do wonder though, whether perhaps the effort of getting Gamecube games working well on the Switch is not worth it? (for Nintendo)

I assume it's a lot thinner than a Wii U gamepad or a Steam Deck but you can't really tell from the photo....

Was just saying mid-week how I wasn't interested in this and yet this morning, plop, there it is on the mat in my hallway (the game that is, I didn't excrete). The au pair was watching Criminal Minds on the telly so I only managed to have a quick go on tennis in tabletop mode, but I was awful. I used to be a champion on Wii Tennis (I once won a million quid in a drunken 'double or nothing' session with a friend), but this just didn't feel right to me.

Will give it another go later and see if I get into it.

So many good memories of playing this with my wife, an absolute gem of a game and I think of it fondly.
