This is really cool. The printer uses OLEDs to expose the image on to the film, basically taking a photo of your screenshot.

My kids (and wife, she already has an Instax camera!) would love this.

Switch has been using Mariko since the Lite/2019 revision, so I can't see this being much of an upgrade! Perhaps a minor hardware revision...

This has little to do with their videogame sales and everything to do with Covid's impact on the pachinko market.

I got this on PS3 but only got a few hours in.
I got the second one for PS4 but only got a few hours in.

Now I've bought this again on Switch, I'm hoping I'll get a chance to get more than a few hours in!

I'm sure what they'll be aiming for is a continuation of people being able to play the same Nintendo games, whether at home on the TV our out and about.

Even if the Switch does get replaced sooner or later, or a new home console is launched, I suspect the software and hardware architecture will be closely aligned to the Switch.

Turns out it's actually an iPhone 7 so I'm unaffected.

This will only affect people who are too busy playing Pokémon Go to earn the money to buy a new phone...

I wasn't too keen on this one whereas I loved Game Dev Story. I bought for PC and was having a reasonable time but the sales for my games were getting worse and worse.

It turns out it was because I'd fluked a great game early on, and whatever algorithm they use to generate game sales expects each game to be better than the previous one. That completely destroyed me and I soon ran out of money. I stopped playing after that...

If the UK government had acted sooner and put measures in place back in February then the outcome could well have been better, even without a full lockdown being necessary, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

@RickD It's not really been hiding anywhere though has it? It's still out there, but lockdowns have no doubt prevented deaths by protecting the vulnerable and lessening the burden on healthcare services by reducing spikes in infection.

The reason Nintendo is not announcing games early is because they're already struggling to supply enough hardware to meet demand. Announcing big titles normally leads to a big bump in hardware sales, but that's not going to happen at the moment. I suspect they'll announce further in advance when the hardware is less supply constrained.

@RickD Erm, look at Sweden in comparison to its neighbours. They have had more than twice as many cases as Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland put together...
