Good to hear. I am pushing back my purchase as my switch wishlist is massive and I know myself. If I start investing heavily in Switch 2 I will have to scramble later when items start getting delisted. So I am probably only getting like 3 more Switch 2 games (and VF no matter what) before I refocus on switch games. Unless I have a work breakthrough.

Packing but will likely work on Mario Kart world and some fighting games when I take breaks. Waiting on amazon to ship my copy of rune factory. So glad I only have a few orders left with them.

Honestly right now I am mostly in free roam. I will play grand prix every now and then but I am having a blast unlocking outfits and vehicles. Haven’t stared doing the blocks or switches yet.

I think I am gonna get this day one. Love the visuals and the destroy everything gameplay. After that I think with the launch games I am set for a while. I will return my focus to clearing out my switch wishlist since it is full….again.

And people thought Mario Kart World would be a bad launch game.

@8bitKirby Legal requirement in the US for milk chocolate is about 10% cacao. I think Hershey is around 11% (It varies by company and product). Most other countries it is much higher. Also the butyric acid (natural product of the milk cooking/shelf stabilization process) in it has a taste and smell association of “vomit” to some. Especially if you didn’t grow up on it.

Like as an American I can tell the difference and often prefer european or japanese chocolate but I don’t think hershey’s or other local chocolate brands taste bad. The rest of it is “let’s pile on the US generalizations” (the US isn’t a utopia/great by any means, but some folks act like their history books aren’t full of atrocities too or that their people can’t be rude). I do acknowledge that most folks from the US got a very edited (if not false) history education but no need to be an arse about it.

I wish in this digital era companies would sell the physical OST alone. I don’t want a physical game.

I do wish I could play this alone but I am happy for the co-op fans that they got a good game.

A solid 9 (I save 10s for games that make me cry or are in my favorite genres) for me. The game is absolutely gorgeous and the free roam is the perfect mode for me. I usually fall off of Mario Kart pretty quickly, but being able to wander has made the series much more interesting and engrossing for me. The wall riding adds (for me at least) a skill/planning requirement that MK8/DX simply doesn’t have.

One thing I love about Nintendo is they usually don’t mention other companies (or allude to them) after all Sony already said that Nintendo isn’t their competition. Nintendo tends to be like “here is what we do, if you like it, great but if you don’t that’s ok too”.

Honestly I don’t want a “unique experience” on TV. I want as many games as I can get on as few devices as possible with a unified controller setup and minimal install work. Since MS and Sony are sustained by more third party and less active first party IPs than Nintendo, as Nintendo gains more third party they become the best one stop shop. With both Sony and MS on PC then PC becomes the second best stop. As Nintendo does that slow walk towards parity they become more and more my preferred option. Doesn’t hurt that them being cheaper (at launch) means more money to put towards games.

That being said, looking forward to Ghost of Yotei.

I love that art and guide books (guide books in particular) are coming back in print. I am sure there is some cool artwork for Samus and her armor.

For a world that swears Nintendo shouldn’t treat them like children, they are forever forcing Nintendo to baby proof or give out money for user error. Wiimote jackets for instance.

@maulinks sounds like you are playing on performance mode. I can’t speak for ps5 as I don’t have it on that system but the default setting out the box is 30 fps (action mode). I don’t know if the switch 2 has a performance mode as I don’t own the game yet (on that system). again that feels like an engine issue if they had to break out modes on flagship hardware as well.

I haven’t unboxed my OLED yet. So for me the switch 2 screen is an improvement. However, I am fine waiting. the price would have gone up more with an OLED and I think there would have been some market pushback. Many handhelds aren’t OLED. Rog Ally for instance and that is more powerful than switch 2. plus I usually game on my OLED TV so I don’t really care either way. Just hope the Zelda edition is OLED.

@maulinks Doubt it. framerate for world tour fights is around 30-40 on all systems (had it since launch on series x) . likely just an RE Engine issue.

Yes! Hope this inspires Bamco to bring soul calibur (I feel like 2 was simply greenlit by them but the work done by Nintendo). Also hope we get amiibo cards for the new characters announced.

Time will tell of course, but it is a nice start. I think with the announced games in docket, the momentum is there…but again time will tell.

As long as capcom has that purchase data so they know to keep supporting the system they can log it as bananas for all I care.

I followed that car for a little while naturally but got bored. I prefer to just wander around. There is so much to see, after all. tons of coins in the live world.

also the amount of times I was like “OMH you can do that?!” from just noodling around has me in awe of this game.

Switch 2 is sorta undermining my plan to keep using my switch as the primary Nintendo console. The improvements add up quickly (eshop in particular) and while i will keep my switch I am itching to see which switch games play better on switch 2. Which is odd considering I kept my gamecube, wii and wiiu going. Preferring native hardware most of the time. That being said a big part of that is likely due to how smooth virtual gamecards are. I am going to try to keep switch 2 as my fighting game, switch 2 enhancement, switch 2 exclusives system though. At least until the memory I need comes out.

Well good thing i haven’t beaten it yet. Lol can enjoy the improvements as is.

I just keep hoping eventually there will be an xbox os that will allow me to play my entire existing digital library on a PC.

Considering the low sales of the wiiu (I have 3 so I did my part) this is going to be the way most people have access to this game.

People are way too focused on credits. Pretty sure that Miyamoto-dono is getting his paycheck on time.

I love that the costume is dependent on the food which means you have to head to an area/track to get it. Easy way to promote exploration.

Some of those costumes simply look like Yoshi is putting folks to work at his restaurants. Perhaps the racing is a second job for many?

I absolutely adore this game. Thank you gamepass. Picking up to own in a week or two. Capcom has been on fire for me lately.

Mine seems to holding a charge just fine. Put it to sleep overnight and charge is the same. Not seeing significant drain when playing MKW and downloading games. It drains but takes an hour or two. I have yet to hit 50 percent yet. I do plug it in before that but that is habit mire than anything. As my switches are usually not handhelds. I am sure it is worse than switch just as Nintendo said but it hasn’t been a noticeable issue yet for me.

I do have to box my switch 2 back up but I will try to sneak in some mario kart world (I am in love with this game) and some soul calibur 2.

Capcom have been doing well with the support of this game, super happy that parity will be maintained. Also happy that Sagat fans will finally calm down. Good to see C.Viper again. Looking forward to adding these folks to the roster.

This is an experience. I am just noodling around in free roam ( As Cow) and yeah I am in love with this game. I got a feeling it’s gonna be like six months before I even race. I am following Mario everywhere and hitting him when I can. I am not usually mischievous in games as it isn’t my nature but this just has me wandering around and messing with NPCs because the level of detail is great. The world is a character in and of itself… so much to look out for that it almost feels wasted in a racing game. The music direction is so soothing. I am going to hope Nintendo puts the OST on CD. This is gonna be an evergreen.

Either way I will be picking up when I open my switch 2 in august.

My plan is kunitsugami, SF6, welcome tour and nobunaga’s ambition to be my launch games and whenever VF comes out. Otherwise I still have switch games to buy. I will probably try the upgrade games to figure out what to double dip digitally. Since my switch has 2.5 TB it’s easier to continue to buy games there and transfer what has an upgrade to switch 2 as needed.

Not gonna lie, I bought it to beat out any tariffs induced price hike (amiibo and accessories were enough) but the fact that many of the games that I have yet to purchase yet have upgrades and a lot of ports I dreamed of are either launch or launch window makes me especially glad I took the plunge instead of waiting. The recent state of play is proof I that I will be moving back to Nintendo/PC for this (switch 2 and beyond ) gen and that this is likely my final console anyway due to age. So glad I had a smooth pick up and can’t wait to play in august!

Looks like I am getting Pokemon sooner than expected. Glad my purchase list was so large I never got to buying it lol.

So I am back to saving to raid kinokuniya (which imo has a poor selection in the US) and whatever scraps the local Japanese language school offloads. I’d been improving my reading again (I can’t stay in practice enough to not get rusty) so having an article to translate is nice. Thank you again.
