On Nintendo Switch:

  • Hades: first time playing!
  • Ultimate Racing 2D 2: I have 100% achievements on Ultimate Racing 2D 1 and 2 on Steam. I´m making 100% on switch too. Love this game! The absolutely most complete top down racer on Nintendo Switch.
  • World of Solitaire: 40 hours playing...and going...40 achievements more to complete!

On Nintendo Switch:

  • World of Solitaire (i have 30 hours playing this game). Great replay Value. A lot of achievements. I'm on Panel 5 of 6, but this panel has 25 achievements to complete and will take me at least another 30 hours to complete. The next and last panel has probably 36 achievements. And from the looks of it, it will take another 70 hours at least to complete, maybe more. Amazing game!I like to play it because the touch screen gameplay. As I don't like watching series, and I don't have patience watching movies, I start playing this while watching with my wife by my side. So I stay by her side, and do something that pleases me more.
  • Metroid Dread. Playing slowly.

Re: Random: It's Been 5 Years Since Metroid Prime 4 Was Rebooted

Metroid 4 was just marketing to capture the attention of hardcore gamers and sell more Nintendo Switch at launch. The same thing happened with The Raven Blade for Game Cube. Empty marketing to sell consoles generating false expectations. I really don't fall for this type of appealing marketing.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of The Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Demo?

Rykdrew

Better than Metroid Dread. But, just like Metroid Dread, this is a $15 game, not $60.

I paid $25 on Metroid Dread (Black Friday) and I think I paid a lot. The game is worth less than this. I think Prince of Persia will be the same for me.

Just like Mario Wonder, which I think is too short. For me, it's a game worth $15. That's why I didn't buy it, I played it at a friend's house and I was relieved that I didn't buy it.

@Chlocean silly games for me, not for you.

Everything I say is for me and exclusively about my personal tastes. I'm not putting words to others. So you don't need to worry that Animal Crossing is a horrible game for me and my wife, unlike Street Fighter.

I don't answer to everyone who has different tastes than me, because everyone has their own tastes! I think it's cool that you have fun with games that I think are silly. No problem! You are not less of a gamer. But you are a gamer I won´t never play together, cause my taste is different. So..I´m happy my wife likes the same games I like...cause the games I like are the only games I care about.

I love games that require immense skill with the joystick / controller.

It's a type of game in which the vast majority of people will not be able to thrive (in games without infinite continues, like Radiant Silvergun).

So, those able to master the required skill level find it a wonderfully challenging and demanding level.

I love and dominate this genre. I have more than 90 games in this genre and I've finished them all without continues, and often with a single life.

And when you win, you feel like a gamer immensely superior in skill than the rest of the mortals.

The same thing happens with fighting games, which I also dominate and participate in sponsored championships. When you master a difficult genre, 2-year-old-difficult games like Mario Wonder seem very dull and unfun. Simpletons.

It's the side effects of getting really skilled.

Shmups = the best school to become skilled in games, followed by the fighting genre.

On Switch:

  • Mario Strikers: Battle League - Online matches (trainning for the new season championship clubs vs clubs online)
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Balloon Battle Mode - me and my wife play it almost everyday. Last night we did a 16 rounds championship. She won: 135 points. I was second: 109 points. The best CPU was 39. Playing normal difficulty. Tonight will be my revenge!
  • Advance Wars 1 + 2 - playing slowly..I´m on Mission 5 (first game)
  • Metroid Fusion (NSO - GBA) - Its almost finished. I´m playing it before starting Metroid Dread.

Re: Talking Point: What Are The Worst Parts Of Your Favourite Games?

Rykdrew

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Every corner is too easy to do....the driving experience is too poor. Crash Team Racing is so much better and more complex to master the driving experience.

Unfortunatly, Mario Kart is the best multiplayer experience (battle mode, not racing)....I would like the driving gameplay was more like Crash Team Racing.

I´d like the racing experience was better like Crash Team Racing.

Today, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Battle Mode is the best piece of game here.

Re: Video: Where Does Mario Kart Go From Here?

Rykdrew

Everyone who plays Mario Kart 8…play it very well today. So…Nintendo needs to make next Mario Kart harder to drive. We need more challenge driving the cars. Put a harder driving mode.

And…much more battle courses. battle is better than the kart racing……mario kart racing is too easy and boring.

If Nintendo games, including Mario Kart…go easier..and easier…i’m out.
