I actually saw the notes on Power Stone on their site, because I was wondering if they were using the same versions from the Power Stone collection on PSP. It's kind of a bummer that I have to buy an entire collection just to get powerstone.
@JR150 Everyone hating on the rabbids blows my mind, sure they derailed the Rayman franchise for a decade, I understand that, but they're pretty funny in the first Mario game.
@coolioam That was not directed at you. It gives you a very narrow selection of options that does not mitigate the negative aspects of the system. I'm not alone in this, there are hundreds of thousands of people who hate Mario party for this reason, it doesn't matter how well you design mini games if you encase the entire thing in a random monopoly-esque package. They also didn't do a very good job with the mini game only mode, typically the people who win just happened to be on the winning team more than the best player.
@HotGoomba @coolioam There's no need to be snarky like you know better than me. I own the newest Mario party, and I didn't even insult it I just said it wasn't as good as it should be, which is certainly true. They refuse to add customization options available on their other first party games like Mario Kart and Smash. I want to be able to select my board, select my games, select my rules, and I would rather they add new content to the already existing games. It's not like I'm not willing to pay, I just want to be able to play how I want to play. The series is notorious for creating bad feelings and rifts between people, and they could fix that with a few options that they refuse to add, over and over again.
Nintendo seems intent on making Mario party not as good as it should be. Meanwhile somehow pummel party got released on switch to absolutely no fanfare despite being overall a superior experience.
@Shepdawg1 Tengen Tetris is not better than Nintendo Tetris. Nobody who knows anything about the differences between different versions of Tetris actually thinks that. I've probably played upwards of 50 ports and variations, and Tengen's only distinguishing feature is multiplayer.
@-wc- I think the worms on switch is pretty good! I think it's a nostalgia driven factor to some degree, because I didn't play them till I was older. The worms on switch is really customizable, but I know with Armageddon you could like take pictures and add them to make courses and stuff, but I don't know if that will be available here. I think there was more simplicity in options, where the new game lets you choose everything this one was more directed, so it's very much a different era of gaming. I think on my list of best couch competitive games I split a spot between those two games.
@MirrorFate2 That's an odd reaction to multiple well made remasters and a proper sequel after two decades of games everyone did nothing but complained about.
Having now played the demo, yeah the game is too easy, and there's almost zero consequences for failure, so it just feels pointless. The robot battle was okay, but the levels just felt like a pointless grind.
Most of the best games weren't announced for switch. Squirrel with a Gun looks really fun, also Monaco 2, and Haunted Paws. I believe all three of those will come to switch, or at the very least it's successor.
This is either going to be amazing or an extreme disappointment, and right now I can't tell, but the potential is through the roof, and I have high hopes.
Garbage. Sorry for people who like them, but as someone who just spent an absurd amount of time playing Mario kart and building cars in Lego 2K racer last night, these are just stupid.
Great maybe they'll put the pale reach on real sale and I'll actually buy it. But I hate that they keep adding more stuff, I mean it's cool, but I want to just get the game and play it
@HotGoomba It isn't, it's a different piece of art, or an earlier version at least. Also, preference aside Europe is just much more skillfully rendered.
I wanted to like this game but I was not particularly impressed. I feel like when you're paying homage to older games, which I love visually, it shouldn't also be torturously boring and tedious to control. And then the sound design is probably one of the most off putting choices of any game I've ever played. Apparently they used real audio footage of some girl during the satanic scare too? I haven't verified that, but I found it annoying.
@Daniel36 It's really getting so silly. Look on mobygames, and they have zelda games listed as "metroidvania gameplay", because you get items to open new locations I guess? Zelda literally came first! Metroidvanias can broadly be describes as open world action platformers, usually with a map, and backtracking. If it's top down, it's not a metroidvania. And yes, I am also saying that the prime games aren't metroidvanias, because then what's the point of genres. Mic drop.
@OctolingKing13 I think that sort of co-op game is awful, but other people really like it. I think it works well for Beat 'em ups, but platformers where both players are the same are not fun at all, and there are so many great co-op games (I probably have 100 or so on switch alone) I don't feel the need to try to force games not designed for it. Cuphead being so hard also means that if one player is much worse than the other, it will jus be miserable. That's just my two cents, tons of people love Rayman Legends, and NSMB in co-op, but I think they're better alone.

Pizza Tower reallllly is not like Warioland. It's just inspired by it.

Re: Charles Martinet Reveals His Favourite Super Mario Games At Nintendo Live 2024
So... all of the 3d ones basically. No love for 3D land though, what an underrated game.
Re: Mini Review: Castaway (Switch) - A Fine-Looking But Very Thin Piece Of Zelda Flotsam
Sad but not unexpected, I could see myself being suckered into buying this for two dollars at some point. I seem to buy every Zelda copycat.

Re: Turn-Based Roguelike 'Shogun Showdown' Slashes Onto Switch Next Month
@-wc- I'd call it a roguelite, its a good term for things that are nothing actually like rogue.

I've been wondering how this hadn't been ported yet for years
Re: 'Power Stone' Is Coming To Switch In 'Capcom Fighting Collection 2'
@HammerGalladeBro It's not emotion about powerstone, they're just really good games!
Re: 'Tetris Forever' Compiles More Than 15 Titles In A New Interactive Documentary
It's just not a great collection, but more importantly, the switch controllers are awful for tetris.
Re: Turn-Based Roguelike 'Shogun Showdown' Slashes Onto Switch Next Month
@-wc- This is turn based in a very different way than roguelikes though. Real roguelikes I mean.
Re: Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition Has Been Rated For Switch
Cool, but can you use the switch to take pictures and add them as courses?
Re: Review: Gori: Cuddly Carnage (Switch) - An Interesting But Messy Spin On The Character Platformer

Looks promising
Re: Quirky Puzzler 'Can Of Wormholes' Wriggles Onto Switch This Week
This looks great, I didn't realize it was a steam release already, it looks to add a lot of depth to the genre, so I will probably buy it
Re: Crash Team Rumble Was Reportedly In Development For Switch But Got Cancelled
@MirrorFate2 I'm just saying, it's not even close to a low point for the series.
Re: Rumour: More Evidence Of 'MySims' Switch Revival Surfaces Online
Mysims racing on Wii is pretty decent, I'd buy a ten dollar port of it.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel - Astro Boy: Omega Factor
@Markiemania95 Lol, I never noticed that before, but I can't unsee it now

@Overzeal oh I watched it now, honestly if you're asking it means you're a kid, and no adult on here is going to explain it to you trust me.

@Overzeal I didn't watch for the gesture, but if you can't figure out what the gesture means, I really doubt anyone should be posting it on here.

The demo for this game sucked, I had high hopes, but it was very modern in all the worst ways.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Contra: Hard Corps / Probotector
The North America one is actually an amazing piece of art, the other two are mediocre, the European one is a pretty cool design.
Re: Reminder: Dredge's New Expansion Update 'The Iron Rig' Is Out Now
Actually looking now they have both expansions for 13, which is pretty reasonable, I don't feel done dirty by it.

Re: Braid: Anniversary Edition Sales Have Been "Utterly Terrible", Says Creator
Yeah because everyone already freaking owns it, I had to buy it on steam deck because the remaster was delayed for like 2 and 1/2 years on switch.
