Where To Buy Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition On Switch 1 & 2

I was hoping they would announce something else for April so I could get it along with this with the two for £84 vouchers. What's the chances of Fantasy Life being available with the vouchers?

So… do not buy from GAME, who are selling it more that the official store’s two flavours of Game + Goodies.

@JohnnyMind Just had a quick look and there's games not made by Nintendo on there like Bayonetta, Live a Live, DC super hero girls, Dragon Quest 11s, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Astral Chain and Dragon Quest Builders. So hopefully it's possible 🤞

@ChessboardMan do not buy from Game ever again, is my advice. Been shafted by them too many times so I refuse to shop there now.

@UltimateOtaku91 Bayonetta and Tokyo mirage sessions and astral chain(now) are Nintendo games. Well Bayonetta 1 is multiplat though. Live a live was exclusive to Nintendo for a long time until the remake but that doesn’t count

Given we're this close to release and we haven't heard anything about a collector's edition it seems like there just won't be one. Big shame, all the other Switch Xenoblade games had one, even Xeno 1 DE.

@UltimateOtaku91 If Nintendo publishes the game in Europe you will be in luck. I hear NOE is aiding with the localization of Fantasy Life but I feel like if NOE had publishing duties they'd have announced it by now, like when they did the same for the original release of SMT V in Europe. Is there definitely not anything else on the voucher list you're interested in, or haven't tried?

I think I will skip it after all. I mean, I already dropped the original Wii U game, why risk it a second time? Music and vibes are cool but it is too grindy for my taste and the story was not really interesting.

March 20th can't get here fast enough.

Really hoping they give us a XCX amiibo sometime after release too. An Elma or Skell one would be cool and they could just use it for an early ingame unlock like with Noah and Mio's amiibo.

Already have this one pre-ordered. This is the only Xenoblade game I haven't played. I own the Wii U version but for whatever reason never got around to playing it.

Hm the My Nintendo Store UK website seems to be down... Why does Xenoblade always break their site?! Anyone remember the fumble that was the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector's Edition preorders?

@Steel76 of a game people easily spend up to (and sometimes even over) 600 hours in... or, rather, spent that much even without this version's new content and QoL polish factoring in. Sales weren't invented yesterday either, but if you're questioning a Xenoblade game in the bang-for-your-buck department, you only have so much familiarity with Xenoblade games.

Yeahh I love this game so much and I intend to get it. But I'm also going to wait and make sure there's no snafus.

Five games total including Torna, probably 400 hours of gameplay, and the cartridges placed on a table are probably the size of a cracker. Still blows my mind

@Sam_ATLUS I've played pretty much everything I want from the current list, I may trade in my physical copy of Mario Party Jamboree and get the digital version instead from the Vouchers. Or I'm tempted to just save a voucher and see what Nintendo release later this year and there's always the chance that these vouchers will be redeemable for Switch 2 games as well.

I've pre-ordered on the eShop using those £84 Nintendo Vouchers. Haven't chosen the second game yet, but the voucher's likely going to be used for Metroid Prime 4 Beyond.

@UltimateOtaku91 Keep the vouchers; TOTK is valid for them despite being the most expensive game in their library and I suspect MK9/the Next 3D Mario game and the like will be priced similarly.

Does anyone know if we can load the saves from WII U into the Switch version?

I guess after the flustercuck that was getting the collector's extras for XC3 (I didn't manage to get them), they decided to forgo any kind of CE this time, shame, particularly after the lovely XC1DE CE available at decent prices on retail.

While UK retailer HMV specialise in music and film, they have recently started stocking games and have a wide selection.
The pre-order there is £44.99

I'm sure you guys at Nintendo Life are finishing up your review copy of the game and eagerly writing that 10/10 score review for this game. If y'all give this a 9/10, your reviewer obviously isn't a fan of the series.

@Folkloner Yup, exactly what I did a few weeks back. In the UK this retailer always seems to have a specific 10% discount off the latest releases. Best place to go.

@Synecdoche You are probably right about Echoes of Wisdom at this point (which is unfortunate :/) but I would give it another month or so before giving up on a XCX amiibo. XC3 got its amiibo really late.

Best Buy in the US has a mini metal poster with the game's key art up for grabs with all pre-orders, although quantities are limited.

It seems like you wouldn't get the Exploration Support Package with a Best Buy order, but having played the WiiU release, you're not going to use the gear long enough to care, and the starter bonus will eventually become insignificant once you get 2 to 3 chapters further into game progress. Personally, I would rather have the mini poster and stand than the digital items because it would stand as a nicer memento than the digital gear, which I might accidentally sell in the course of the gameplay.

This stinks to high heaven will have to cancel once I get it. The poster doesn't get it that someone will use it before chapter 2-3 regardless. They must not think much about that maybe someone like me want to explorer and grind before moving on.

Also Amazon shows no listing for it???

I've ordered from Argos, £42.99 I think so cheaper than digital. Interested to finally play this one and if it doesn't click can always trade.

I hope the switch has SNES style boxes

Currys did their 10% code, plus I can get another 6%, so I've ordered it there for about £37.

The GameStop release has a preorder bonus where you get 100,000 credits and in-game gear (but according to Reddit, you can already get the gear in-game through normal gameplay). So if you want a real preorder bonus, go with Best Buy. That's what I did.

Still, it would have been nice if this article was updated to include the preorder bonus from GameStop, as well as any that Target, Walmart, and Amazon might have had. That way, I could have made an educated decision on which retailer to preorder from.

@Spider-Kev It's a metal poster. Apparently, mine is going to be shipped to my house, as my local Best Buy did not have any on hand. But I know I am supposed to get one, as it was part of my order confirmation. I preordered the game as soon as the bonus was announced.

If anything, this is almost like what I went through with the acrylic stand that came with The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. I somehow ended up with two of them: one at pickup (they had to go looking in the back for one), and another a few days later when they contacted me and told me that it was ready for pickup.

I've got the game myself as well, as that was at least available in-store for pickup, but I am just waiting on the preorder bonus to ship. But I am curious as to what amiibo functionality is available for the game. Maybe I'll consider tracking down a Mythra/Pyra amiibo myself if they give me some decent goodies in-game.

Yeah, the stuff is obtainable in game, but it's a nice little "head start"

No one in my local Best Buy had heard of the game today. It was if they weren't carrying it. As if there's anything else to devote video game retail shelf space to in March 2025. The Target next door was no better. No one carried Another Code Recollection either, but that was a much lower profile release.

@Thomystic I'd go somewhere else. I remember every CSR at a Babbages (US) back in the day had no idea what Samurai Shodown was when the collection was originally going to release on PS1 (I don't think it ever did). They were right next to a giant arcade, in the 90s, so I was like byeeeeeeeeee

Though if you want it delivered or even sent to a store, you’re probably looking at £65.

I’d recommend removing GAME from the listing, they’re just not viable. Replace with someone who actually provides a good service, like ShopTo.

@Spider-Kev Still, it's nothing exclusive... or special. At least the Best Buy preorder bonus is something special that you can't get anywhere else. It's like the preorder bonuses of ye olden times, when you got all sorts of physical goodies to go with the game, not a code for in-game content that you can get through normal gameplay.
