Just finished Steamworld Build, got a nice discount on GamePass through Amazon recently and I'm beating a nice amount of short games I really wanted to play but couldn't afford them all. On the side still playing Children of Mana in my old DS, I can't believe I dropped it when I was a teenager but at least I can enjoy it as an adult. Surely not playing at all this weekend as some friends are visiting. Happy gaming everyone!
@WiiWareWave not that I know, Sea of Stars was Game Pass day one and released at the same time on all platforms. Same with cassette beasts, spirittea and other indies. And the last Persona 3 was the same if I recall correctly. There's still a great chance it come to all other platforms launch day.
Not really sure! Gotta be with some friends this weekend. Maybe Mineko's night Market before they arrive, or some DS games I've felt tempted to play lately (dragon quest monster joker, children of mana). Happy gaming everyone!
The major problem with pokemon fangames is that a lot of them use official assets. Getting them is just possible dumping the games to a PC and we all know what thinks Nintendo/GF about this. I didn't know about this page, but if it hosted tools and fangames that used said assets DMCA could be valid. On the other hand, congrats GF for destroying Pokémon community once more. Some day you'll destroy your own offices by mistake.
Most of the time I just play whatever I'm playing right now, but sometimes I stick with something turn based that allows me to enjoy some good coffee at my own peace. This weekend I'm playing Siralim Ultimate which fits really good to it, and surely next weeks will go with Dragon Quest Monsters joker which I was lucky enough to find a second hand cheap copy.
@Fizza I played it for first time last Christmas on Switch and highly enjoyed it. It runs great and comes with all DLC included, so surely it's one of the best ways to play it (counting it can become a long game depending on how much you want to explore, being portale is a nice plus).
Siralim ultimate! Heard a lot of good things about it in the past and it got a sale recently. Not gonna lie surely this will become an hours well... Happy gaming everyone!
I've been with the itch of playing Mario Odyssey again for a while and started it a couple of days ago, so gotta be playing that with some balatro sessions surely. Happy gaming everyone!
Let's think about this for a second. Some people who are now 18+ played XY as kids. No teenagers. Kids. I can't say USUM is retro as it feels quite recent buy XY on the other hand feels way older. And 3DS is discontinued since some years ago. As someone who has been playing since Game Boy and PC with MS2 before windows exists it's difficult for me calling 3DS as retro, but oh God time really goes fast.
Gotta be playing some splatoon dlc! I've completed a couple of runs, hopefully I'll be able to complete some more if I get the time. Loving the roguelite twist to splatoon. Happy gaming everyone!
@Greatluigi as someone who has played quite a lot rogues, I'd say most of the games have the same bosses? If I recall correctly dead cells had the same bosses in each phase, hades had a bit of variation in some levels but most of the time bosses were the same... and just bringing some popular ones. Enter the gungeon and Slay the Spire both have 2-3 bosses for almost each phase, but final boss is always the same. Personally I have no trouble with a little amount of bosses, but that depends on the game.
My wishes: No mainline this year, they should take some more time Mystery dungeon Rumble More games added to NSO
Reality: BW remake by ilca like previous remakes Let's go johto because what is taking time 15 minutes of phone games we most don't care No spinoff or something that most people will pass
If they bring zelda wind waker and some more GBA I'll be satisfied. Bonus points for game cube games. Or mario galaxy 2, never played that one and I'd love to. Oh and kirby. Never enough kirby.
Eastward Octopia for me! Not sure if I'll be playing some roguelikes in between as well, but by now it's time to plant some potatoes. Happy gaming everyone!
Really tempted for Bandle tale not gonna lie, but at the same time I want to continue with my backlog and replay some games. Apart of Splatoon DLC there's nothing for me so far this year so surely grabbing it on a later date.
I found my old cartridge of Zelda four swords and A link between worlds so... playing that this week. Sorry backlog but I feel like playing that. Happy gaming everyone!
Bought it on release day but I've had no time to play since. Luckily starting it today, loved the base game. It feels strange it's a dlc rather than a standalone release, but surely price could have been pretty higher so... I'll not complain 😌
Anything that means games are available (or at least could be) on more platforms are great news. Hi-Fi rush is great and the more people who can enjoy it, the better.
Back on the day I was able to beat and unlock everything vampire survivors put in the table, but with last updates for some reason I feel sick playing it so I've had to drop it. It's sad as this looks neat, but it's a big no no at this point.
Vampire survivors! I'm visiting family so if I have some free time surely I'll play a couple of runs. Maybe some Monster Hunter tomorrow once I'm at home tomorrow. Happy gaming everyone!
It really depends on the game and WHAT you discover from the ending. I mean, we all know Mario will defeat Bowser at the end, can it be considered a spoiler? But maybe it has a twist or the fight itself is special. At the end of the day a lot of games end like "day is saved guys you can continue with your life". I'm pretty sure that for most cases the general story is kind of more important. There are examples as well. Outer Wilds stands out specially when you go fresh for it, same with narrative games. We all know Kirby will save the day, but somehow I can say the true ending/boss is most of the times surprising and/or bizarre.
@Tasuki actually digimon is older than pokemon and it was born from tamagotchi, so surely that's why they never had real troubles between each other. @BLD it's said that a lot of dinossom, but personally I see a goodra with serperior pattern and lilligant flower. If I recall correctly there is another pal which looks more similar to meganium.
@Cronodoug as someone who is tired for the status of lastest releases in general, I'm pretty sure it's not totally fault of GF. I mean - if you check what gets more money from pokemon is actually merchandising, if I recall correctly games are around (or less) 25%. TPC treats games more as a promotion for new creatures for more merchandising, and they need to line up with anime and movies, which makes a stupid schedule for developing. I'm not excusing GF for the status of the games as they are the ones doing the games, but something tells me I don't want to be on their place and that at this point surely they are ashamed as well.
I've still not played any of these games, but they all look pretty good and surely I'll get this one on release - I mean, LOOK THS PIXEL ART. I'm not a fan of LoL nor Riot but I love the universe and Riot forge games look really nice, I'm pretty tempted to play them all at some point.
Klonoa and Pikmin 2 for me! Maybe Roguebook or Into the breach as well. @MischiefMaker don't worry! It takes a while getting the first run complete, but once you do you'll start to complete a lot of them. It gets easier once you start unlocking stuff, but my recommendation is getting unlocked bullet passive items (fire, fat, magical bullets...) as soon as you can. These will be your best friends in the long term.
Surely as soon as it drops for me, but mainly for finishing the game and go with others. Despite of the flaws I've enjoyed the game and maybe I'll come back for shiny hunt, but at the same time I kind of want to finish it already.
@FrowardCoast440 actually I love splatoon. I mean - Splatoon is still a shooter which has always been focused to multiplayer. But as far as I recall Minecraft Legends was never presented like that, and even a lot of reviews were affected for that.
At first I was interested until I discovered it was highly orientated in... online. Matches against other people. Short single player working more as a tutorial. Which made me dropping even before buying.
I was going to say Outer Wilds and Tunic, but they've been said enough so far so. Mario Wonder. Most of the levels were amazing, I didn't watch any trailer before release so it was an entire surprise. And the piranha plants singing is surely my fav thing so far.
I'm completing Lego Jurassic world! Got it during the sales and loved it. After that as I'm pretty close I'll finish We love Katamari and who knows, maybe I'll start Klonoa finally this week LOL Happy gaming everyone!
-Drift, still nowadays I'm using hori split pro, which I would ask for more ergonomic joycons as well. Carpal tunnel would be happy. -More power. A lot of games would run way better with it. -Retrocompatibility. Which would work awesome with the former.
Things like eshop are more software thing and I feel like it's not just for switch 2. Apart of that I've had no problems with any of the other points: no scratches, nor problems with the case in general (playing handheld mostly and a nice amount of physical games). More storage would be nice but SDs are quite cheap lately so I'd prefer putting that effort on battery or power instead if I had to choose.
As an adult with a job and other responsibilities I've never been too affected by FOMO, just for keeping my own sanity. I don't really like social media so it makes way easier for me to be honest. Couldn't get it day one and enjoyed it through June and loved it. But, a lot of friends suffered this FOMO and I'm still convinced they couldn't enjoy it as much because of that.
I was tempted to get it on switch but surely will get Dorfromantik instead and this one on pc tho. I have no problem with punctual frame rates but crashes are superior to me.
I'm playing coromon again! Patch arrived just in time when I was tempted for a second run. Got recently roguebook with a nice sale and still have Klonoa, so that's my menu Happy gaming everyone!
Played this on Game Pass this summer and absolutely loved it. Waiting for a physical release or a good sale for a second run on Switch. One of my fav creature collector games so far. Some of the Archangel... maps? Trials? Got me off guard and really enjoyed them.
Loved this game back in the day and literally yesterday while I was organizing folders in my Switch I recalled they said long ago a patch was on its way and wanted to play it again. Nice timing lol. @ScalenePowers Actually I like to call these games monster-collectors. Digimon survive and Monster Hunter Stories fit way better that term than Pokemon-like.
Got recently on a sale Klonoa remaster, and also got in the eshop sales risk of rain 2! So surely gotta be playing these two this weekend. Happy gaming everyone!
Gotta be playing Pokemon DLC this weekend! I also have Dave the Diver ready with the free update (not sure if I'll be playing it this weekend, otherwise I'll do as soon as I'm done with pokemon), and surely a bit of Into the Breach or AK-xolotl. Sweet, sweet rogues for the go! Happy gaming everyone!
Couldn't resist to Risk of Rain 2, nice sale. Also reeeeeally tempted about Scott vs the world, played it on Ps3 when it released and I have the itch again.
I'm having a great time playing it BUT, performance goes even worse. It's specially bad around certain tiny lakes in the terarium, to the point one thought several times game had crashed. I'm pretty tempted to wait for a patch of they say anything but I kind of doubt it.
Call me crazy but I didn't like this game - all the icons on heads and how quests are presented and delivered reminded me to an old mmorpg which I disliked instantly. I hope the people who like this game enjoy the dlc tho, free stuff is always nice!
I played cassette beasts some months ago and LOVED it. It's one of the best "pokeclones" out there I'd say, and as stated, thinking it's just a clone is a mistake.
