@Trikeboy I was able to get one hours late to the party too, I think there was an extra wave of stock, similar to the Xenoblade Chronicles Special Edition. That or Nintendo finally figured out their supply issues, haha.

@imadeanaccount The Japanese courts wanted to make an example out of him for insider trading, a crime they've tried to step up on recently with prosecutions and to change the in country perception of insider trading. This wasn't a case of Naka only doing insider trading, it was the courts going after the cases on the higher profile individuals and Naka happened to be one of them.

@Rhaoulos The man jumped ship during development of Sonic 06, took Sonic Team staff with him, and didn't stick around to finish the project through. Seeing how that was 17 years ago, people who have supported Sonic for the second half of the hedgehog's career aren't to blame here.

Considering how Nintendo "just" rereleased Luigi's Mansion 1 in their eyes on 3DS, I doubt we'll be getting Luigi's Mansion 1 on Switch anytime soon, if at all outside of a direct GameCube port should those games ever come to NSO. Nintendo doesn't generally remaster games multiple times for multiple consoles, generally one remaster and done.

@samuelvictor For a brief period of time on the first day the newsletter was open had a Windows 10 option before Switch and Epic Games. It was interesting to see them take away the option altogether.

As for whether or not this is coming to Steam regardless, the Sonic Adventure 2 Soap Shoes were also newsletter DLC, and they were made available a while ago on Steam for free. Hopefully the same will happen here, regardless of the temporarily newsletter exclusivity.

@StarPoint The same was true for Ace Attorney when they asked him to make a 4th game. He had already finished the trilogy on GBA! And instead of Phoenix, Capcom got Apollo's story.

@OstianOwl The news broke a few days ago during an interview, but the Mania Team, at least Christian Whitehead was asked to come back and make another 2D Sonic game. All we know is that Whitehead chose not to come back after talks with Sonic Team, but not the reasoning why.

@Scarko Fun fact, the original three games released on GBA in Japan, and is why the first game has a bonus 5th chapter in the DS version. The 2nd game became the shortest game in because of that addition.

The first game also purposely shyed away from heavy Eastern environments, to be easily localized, but after the first game wasn't localized on GBA, those restrictions were lifted, resulting in the strange Japan/LA that we have in the English series.

@bluemage1989 I'm curious why you view this as a massive improvement over Mania?

@olliemar28 Do you have any footage of playing as Knuckles? I've been checking YouTube videos and haven't found any gameplay outside of the trailers.

@glaemay Yuji Naka left Sega in 2005, during the middle of Sonic 06' development. He hasn't worked on a Sonic game since Sonic 06, and starting development/concept planning of Sonic and the Secret Rings.

@MegaVel91 When I looked at it, they had PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10, Switch, and Epic Games. I know I have the last 3 correct, the PlayStations and Xboxes could be changed around, for example PS4 before PS5.

@MegaVel91 @rossperk It is most likely the Windows 10 option for Steam. I don't believe Sega sells their Sonic games directly on the Microsoft/Windows Store.

@HammerGalladeBro They recently added the Soap Shoes as free DLC on Steam for the game, even if you missed out on the newsletter. Hopefully it will be the same for this game too!

@Tyranexx Fun fact, the study that said your brain continues developing until 25, the oldest individual in that study was 25. Had the oldest individual been 26, and their brain showed progress of development, we would be using 26 as the number instead.

@UltimateOtaku91 While Tears of the Kingdom only had 2 waves, it will be back. Breath of the Wild has had multiple runs, and they saved one final icon until that last wave.

I imagine Nintendo is wanting to avoid too many spoilers for TotK, so they only did 2 waves for now, and we'll get many more as the year goes on.

Nice to see that Pokemon will be able to be sent back a Generation for the first time since Gen 2, but with presumably the same nonsense of Gen 8 where their moves are changed.

About time, I was both surprised and not that Advance 4 launched first, but really these should have all been here in the first place.

Considering Nintendo took down Nintendo Minute, I wouldn't hold my breath that this will remain online indefinitely. Someone should download the videos and post them to Archive.org if they haven't already.

@Andyv01 Renegade Kid ended up splitting up into 2 companies, Atooi being the half that Jools kept, and keeping the rights to the 2D games. The other individual whom I forget the name of, he kept the 3D games, like Dementium and Moon/Moon Chronicles. Not sure who has the rights to ATV Wild Ride/Wild Ride 3D, but since Wild Ride hasn't been released on Switch, probably not Atooi.

Renegade Kid never released Treasurenauts, and got into a bad habit of making a new game to get more money to finance another project, despite not following through on current promises.

@Smokemon A good price for a 1TB Micro SD Card is 120 dollars, but you can get them for 100 dollars on sale. Anything cheaper than that and you're either buying lesser quality, or getting scammed. Basically, these SD Cards have a Nintendo themed symbol on them, and can cost 30+ more than what the same SD card would go for without the branding, from the same company.

@LeJuiceCup They're not going to, they're working on the DLC, and once the DLC has fully released, they'll be working on the next project. I imagine the next Pokemon game will have a better framerate due to the backlash, but this one will not change, seeing previous Nintendo games as examples.

@Burning_Spear I wouldn't be surprised if these were display models, but from what I've seen from both Gamestop and other stores, they have too many left over from the two restocks. This is a sale with Gamestop desperate to get rid of inventory that has been on the shelves for months, if not a year.

I can never really take Nintendo at face value when they say they have nothing to announce at this time. It means exactly that, Nintendo doesn't want to talk about, or announce that thing right then. A great example of this was the 3DS XL (2013). Rumors were rampant, and it was expected that Nintendo would show the revision off at E3 2013. Nintendo said they would not be announcing new hardware at E3, then announced the XL model a few weeks later. They will say they have nothing in the works, outside of always working on new projects, until they are ready to share, and not before.

@HammerGalladeBro I think it might be, the game is fully playable with a controller, the right analog stick functions as a mouse cursor, and R3 works as the click. Then the Dream Gear Minigames work with the left analog stick and an Xbox A button, so Nintendo's B button. Game is fully playable on console, so maybe they'll release it on consoles in June or so, Sonics birthday and all.

@-wc- You can't buy anything directly from Nintendo anymore, and this is primarily for those who forgot they had a code still laying around from something. Your opportunity has more or less passed, you'd have to actively search for websites still selling digital codes for 3DS or Wii U games to redeem game codes or DLC. This is basically for people who still have vouchers, or weird scenarios like those who bought a game on the eShop but didn't realize it came with a theme and the theme is included in the digital receipt instead of just already syncing to your account.

@SaturnHero They would either be sold from a website, like buying a digital code for a game, or be prebundled with something else, typically. Like buying the Smash 4 DLC on Wii U, and choosing the option that would get you a code for the same DLC on Smash 4 3DS. Instead of that DLC being added to your account, you'd need to enter that code on your 3DS instead. Scenarios like that, outside of people giving away codes.

@MikeJones Not sure, but many DSiWare games ended up being mostly DS games, just with some features removed. This might be one of those.

@LuigiMario The game was delisted back in 2014 because the Tetris license was exchanged between publishers. They could have relisted the game at any point between then and now, but generally when games are delisted from the Virtual Console because of rights exchanging hands between publishers (TMNT on Wii VC, Konami) the games do not get relisted. I feel that even if you asked 1-2 years ago, the answer would have still been no.

@Horace Haha, I completely forgot about Tetris delisting. I should have used that as an example instead, because I remember scrambling to get that one before it delisted. The game is still delisted though, an absolute shame since it is the Game Boy Tetris, and an all time classic.

Haven't watched the video yet, but I'm curious if this actually a complete library or not. Games have been delisted throughout the 3DS and Wii U's lifespan, so as a whole, it would not be a complete collection. For instance, I'd be shocked if he had Donkey Kong Original Edition (NES, 3DS VC) because Nintendo only gave that game away as a promo back in early 2013 iirc.
