Surprisingly I think I'd actually want them to make the new map smaller, I find my favorite places in these games are the areas that they purposely fill out with more things to do. Also hot take I'm not super interested in shines or koroks anymore I feel like I had my fill of them in the first game. Maybe bring back more unique fan favorite items like the hookshot to change up the gameplay and combat.

Unless I'm mistaken Rovio has only exclusively made Angry Birds games which is a dying out franchise. I see it as a red flag if they haven't been able to make any other successful IPs all this time.

Hmm I feel like it would more sense if they focused more money on game dev studios where their fanbase is rather than diving head first into the mobile market which doesn't always guarantee success, as long as it doesn't fail it seems like a huge investment without predictable results especially since Rovio is a fading out brand and you have to question why they are fading out.

This film is very unique so it's hard to score. As a mario fan it's a great film. If you aren't a mario fan then I have no clue what you'd think.

@Kilroy I have a lot of controversial opinions on this game: elevator rooms look the same so you don't know which one you are in unless you manually check, the map doesn't do a good job of showing you which area you are going to since you have to manually check, upgrades aren't indicated with a dot when you get them. They fixed the controls in the switch version but it's competing with a LOT of modern fps shooters so I have ideas on how it could be more fun and fluid. There are too many "surprise" enemies that hit offscreen that feels unfair to me. I wanna be able to quickly morph ball in split seconds like in other metroid games. It is really fun to use though. I just really prefer the 2d games and would personally like to see some changes with Metroid Prime 4 but the majority of the fanbase sees the formula as perfect as it is, which is alright opinions are opinions. And yeah I've played some on gamecube and wii so I see great improvements, just concerned about Metroid Prime 4.

Metroid Prime is not a 10/10 game I don't know why NL keeps saying it. There are many things I want to see improved like the minimap, navigation, aiming, controls aren't snappy, ui, etc. 10/10 should be reserved for the best of the best.

Yo 2021 was the best. New metroid, banana mania, new mario, warioware, mario party, etc. Tons of amazing games released that year.

Metroid Prime 4 is releasing for the switch pro yall and is going to be announced at the game awards or e3 this year

I have a faint memory of being insanely frustrated as a little kid at the Bianco Hills Secret in Mario Sunshine, bawling my eyes out. I died countless times and seeing the Game Over screen made it much worse. Was the first time I realized giving up and coming back was the best option. Was too determined though.

Nintendo always thinking outside the box

I was thinking about the direction of the nintendo switch, I think the next switch if not the switch pro will definitely be a nintendo phone. This way they can make the form factor small and still keep everything loved about the og switch but also appeal towards a broader demographic.

There's no way nintendo is going to release switch 2 this year (or maybe even next year), the timing isn't right. There are too many good first party switch games coming this year for that to happen.

Well good at the very least I don't think he should take on the stress of directing games anymore. But I would hope behind the scenes they are training the next smash bros director. It seems like quite the honorable position despite the stress.

As an online service I'd like to see them add an online feature so I can play games online without getting disconnected. (Also I'm using ethernet and really fast download/upload speeds but still get lag only on switch not pc) I liked the nes/snes games from the beginning even though we can't own them for life they are a good selection

I'm going to wait until black friday for Mario + Rabbids, the original got a hefty 50% off discount at the time

It's very hard for me to rate these because on one hand I love the wacky and weirdness of the originals but on the other hand the newer ones have great charm to them too

I'm so confused, they were talking about the top secret research facility that Shadow is in, why wouldn't they make this movie around the plot of Sonic Adventure 2 then? If characters unrelated to Sonic Adventure 2 are included how would that make any sense?

I just like seeing Nintendo make interesting and relatable characters, Shiver is in the same boat

I don't even think this was that new of a concept to Nintendo games, a lot of Nintendo characters are purposely gender neutral so that they feel relatable to whoever is playing them. Removing genders from animal crossing felt very natural and inclusive who's to say Inklings need labels either?
