Nintendo strategically spacing out enough time between switch 2 direct and Mario kart direct to give people time to cool down from the $80 price, we're onto you Nintendo (even though I'm still getting the game regardless)
The real question is are we going to get 4k 60fps animal crossing support at launch or do we have to wait for a free upgrade? Or do we have to pay for extra dlc for that? These are the questions I have with my switch 1 games
It's nice that it seems like a worthwhile upgrade if you play it on switch 2 but if you don't own one it still is one of the best running switch games available on the system. You can't really go wrong either way.
Since Metroid Prime 4 is likely going to be a launch game there's no way it will not have a separate Switch 2 version, I can't imagine how they will push people to buy the new console otherwise.
I have to give it Animal Crossing because the amount of customization from your house, outfits, and the whole island is insane. If I was forced to have only one videogame my whole life I might be able to make due with this.
They could have created an online ecosystem like Roblox if they were more ambitious but I think that's too late now and they are already plenty successful anyway
Does this mean you can insert the red joycon in the blue side and vice versa? If so that would be really cool but then why have the color coordination in the first place?
I hope it's a hundred piece statue of a mario kart for that price. I wasn't really a fan of the way mario looks in the cheaper sets anyway, not that I'm all too interested in either personally haha
With all this silence I feel like they are not prepared this year to focus on launching switch 1 games alongside switch 2 games but maybe they aren't saying anything to get more people eager for switch 2. I'm betting we won't get a direct until after the switch 2 presentation let's see if I'm right or wrong. (Besides a Pokemon direct this month)
I'm really looking forward to seeing more courses and graphic upgrades. The jump from MK Wii and 3ds to MK8 visually was jaw dropping back on the Wii U.
One thing though is Nintendo always bundles Mario Kart as a Christmas package so there is a chance Mario Kart wouldn't be a launch title since it would be a killer holiday title and has proven to be time and time again. If they release Mario Kart in the summer that would mean they would need something better than Mario Kart to be the holiday title which I don't think is possible. But they could also release the switch 2 in the summer and have Mario Kart be the winter release which is frankly possible since Mario Kart 9 was just teased and not confirmed to be a release title. Prime 4 might be a better release title than an October release. Anyway I'm rambling it's all just theorizing it doesn't matter.
As someone who was hoping for a new F-Zero entry early on for switch 2, Mario Kart with an absurd amount of racers seems like a great compromise. (Plus it sounds like we'll be getting another Fast RMX game near launch)
If you're on the fence about getting it NL did give this a perfect 10 back in the day so you will like it if you put yourself in the shoes of the Wii era. (That being said I personally like the originals and Tropical Freeze better but everyone has different tastes.)
It beat year of Luigi easy! and honestly it should get extra points for Sega successfully making a bold marketing move which doesn't happen all too often.
All games in the recent tab are p*rn, it's disgusting that Nintendo has let it get to this point, any reputable company would have dealt with this immediately
They really need to work on their communication, they can't just outright say 'we're not a retro company".
Instead it's better to phrase it as: "While we're always looking for opportunities to appeal to our loyal fans, currently our vision for Sega is quickly approaching a new direction in order to compete in the modern gaming space. Right now there are no plans in place for new Sega mini consoles but it is something we are still open to later on if the demand is still there." Would be much more professional.
And I thought the NX rumors were out of control back in the day, we just keep seeing new methods that say the same information, it's just a switch but bigger

Re: Mario Kart World Is Reportedly The Smoothest Entry Yet
Oooo I don't have a 120hz TV so I wonder if I'll prefer smooth or detail display more, exciting!
Re: Zelda: BOTW Switch 2 Edition Won't Include The DLC, Nintendo Confirms
4K 60fps patches should be FREE because we are buying the hardware for THAT REASON.

This means nothing, this better be a good game because the meme is getting annoying 😂
