Mario Kart Tour's Upcoming Update Introduces Yoshi Tour

I’m still playing. I stopped for a long time but went back and find it enjoyable. You get a nice ratio of unlockables and it’s fun

I'm not gonna lie, I'm really happy Yoshi Valley was already in Mario Kart 8 before the Booster Course Pass because that course is way too beautiful to be included into Mario Kart 8 in such a graphical downgrade. It's easily my favourite track with how it looks, and not just because it's Yoshi themed.

..though that does help, of course.

I think it was on the 3ds maybe?

A bit questioning what does Birdo have to do with the theme of Yoshi tour to get a new skin but I'm happy for her.

Yoshi's Valley is one of the 2 or 3 tracks I always struggle on. Grumble Volcano is another. Never have a good time on those online.

@PBandSmelly When did her being trans become canon?
Its a species like Yoshi or Toad, we know in Doki doki panic / Mario 2 they were male and thinking they were female, but that was from what I can gather only in the English manual?
For all we know the one in current games are not trans.

Not saying you are wrong, just asking where Nintendo said its actually canon.

I think it was the guide or manual for early Japanese mario games. Found on dykgaming a while back

Although whether or not this was just someone bullcrapping for the manual is unknown, at least we know Vivian from TTYD is confirmed in-game to be trans

@PBandSmelly I know about Vivian, just wondered about Birdo because I have heard it before, never seen anything about the Birdos in modern games mentioned by Nintendo.

They refer to her being trans in some other games too. I think the most recent one was Super Mario Party but it only referenced it in the Japanese version and was removed for the western localisation. Though I could be remembering incorrectly.

It's not my favourite course but maybe the R/T versions will add something new.

I'm sure the branching paths was exciting on N64 but these days it's not as much.

The gameplay/driving in Tour just wasn’t fun for me. The Tour courses in MK8 however, are very fun to race online, especially with a full roster. Hopefully characters from Tour can make their way to MK8.

@LEGEND_MARIOID N64 Yoshi's Valley has been on MK8 since the Wii U base game.

Or, are you referring to the R/T/RT versions or the aforementioned DS Yoshi Falls?
