Re: Nintendo Will Now Let You Upload 64 Courses In Super Mario Maker 2

Not sure why they would give us this "one more time" nonsense except to build hype for a future update. Personally, I think the "limit" should be tied to time, not a hard number. Say, upload two courses per day with no max. I really don't buy that there would ever be enough levels for the server costs to take any sizable bite out of the game's earnings.

@WoolooSweater That wasn't the case with Animal Crossing. That game got praise for its delay because they were upfront about it and said staff would need the time.

They also mentioned a little while before the games were known as SWSH that it "might" be ready for 2019, but "might" be 2020. Make no mistake, this is the result of Nintendo pushing for a rushed holiday release.

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Will Make Use Of Your Poké Ball Plus, But Not Completely

I still wish they would just update this gimmicky little controller to work like a joycon across games by default. You can already use the super broken NES controllers to play pretty much any game with a few missing buttons, so I don't see why the Poke Ball Plus should be useless outside of one casual romp. It'd be kind of hilarious to try playing some of these games with the super limited controls of the pokeball.

Re: You Cannot Have A Complete National Pokédex In Pokémon Sword And Shield

@NotTelevision A big part of why is that Pokemon Bank (which is a premium service people have subbed to for years) and similar transfer tools promote people to catch pokemon and bring them with them on their journeys. For example, I have an Infernape who's been by my side for more than half of my life. The reward for beating the gyms has always been that you could finally bring your friends over to the region and have fresh adventures with them. Now that's taken away and because people can't bring their teams over, the hardcore scene is going to remain with USUM.

Re: Nintendo's Upcoming Switch Online NES Titles Include Donkey Kong Jr., VS. Excitebike And Clu Clu Land

@AugustusOxy You say that like it's some sort of a great bargain. These servers don't cost twenty bucks a head to run for a year, nor are they even fast enough to have people play regular games like Smash online. As of right now most Nintendo players are paying for something that used to be free and it's worse than it's been before. Nintendo is right to be looking for ways to make it a better value for the consumer.

Just because Microsoft and then Sony started charging for online doesn't mean a person is entitled to pick up a game on the shelf that says "online play" and then be peeved when they find out that it's twenty bucks a year and barely works.
