@FX102A The other thing everybody keeps getting wrong is the issues with the price and with power. YOur PS4 is slightly cheaper, your PS4 is a bit more powerful. You can't play your PS4 in the car, on a plane on the train. The Switch is different. You're getting the best of Console Nintendo plus on the go. Hopefully third parties realize that's a HUGE untapped market. A lot of people these days are busy. I'm lucky to spend more than an hour at home, therefore a more powerful PS4 or XBone is useless to me. I can't play them. The Switch I can, I can play your console game at slightly less graphic fidelity anywhere I am and I can have the luxury of playing at home too when granted time. That's HUGE. And cannot be compared with the other two strictly consoles.

@FX102A It's a combination of fans who need to see an amazing launch lineup to shut up the haters who will crap on the lineup (no matter what, really) to continue justifying hating on Nintendo even though their own respective consoles had just as terrible launch releases.

This seems like a big mistake to me. A lot of US gamers have this thing about NOT buying Mario games anymore. Something to do with pretending they're adults and he's too kiddy or some nonsense. But they will buy Zelda still. There would be more sales momentum for the system with a new Zelda title to go with it.

If Nintendo is bumping a bunch of their WiiU titles over to the Switch it would make sense to hand that work over to a company that has already done some ports for you.

Ah hell, I bought the Mario 3D land Bundle and replaced the face plates with that specific white one right after. I could have saved a ton of money, and got the black colored one, if I had waited. C'est La Vie.

@Peach64 I'm not betting on this being "for fans" only. My best friend and my brother both didn't give two poops about the WiiU, and hardly the Wii. My best friend only reluctantly bought a WiiU eventually for his daughters and my Brother never bothered. When I showed them this trailer they immediately started asking me everything about it. They were really impressed and excited. Both immediately noted Skyrim on the go without a laptop as a HUGE plus. These guys aren't Nintendo fans like I am. Their allegiance is to what is fun and useful to them and they both immediately saw potential.

My buddy actually brought up a good point. Will they have a bundle with the base and another that's kust the tablet handheld because he eants two tablets so his girls and wife can play on the TV while he plays something else on the couch/in bed. A cheaper iption for just the tablet would be a great idea. Plus he could being both tablets on road trips and the girls could compete in the backseat while he's driving.

@Simbabbad Really? Where are those Sony or Microsoft Console that can transform to a portable system? Oh yeah, because they haven't been made yet. The concept from rumors has been swirling for years, but the actual execution nobody has done.

They're not really releasing "new" games, are they? They're just re-releasing some rare stuff.

@HappyMaskedGuy NX games are supposed to be cartridge based again, they can just put the saves on the cartridge.

I actually have a Marvel Legends Lineup on my shelf based on the four Avengers you could select from the Data East Arcade game.

The WiiU version was fun, but talk about painfully low-res.

Everybody is forgetting about the additional computation in the dock patent that just went through last week. We're only hearing about the specs on the handheld part of the system. We still need to see what it's like when it's sharing power with the dock. There's numerous possibilities on enhancing graphical and computational power with a supplementary device.

Seeing Mario last night had me grinning from ear-to-ear. The Commentators on NBC in the US immediately started laughing and commenting on "Super Mario" showing up. It was definitely a delight for the talking heads to see as well. I was hoping Japan would embrace all of their unique eccentricities for their performance and they came through great.

Between the images and gameplay I actually feel like there's an original Legend Of Zelda vibe to this game. I wonder if there's an inspiration there?

This was a great game, being a massive Macross fan (note the avatar of mine) I only wish I was able to get an original copy but I never knew about it until I stumbled across the mane ROM websites in the early 2000's.

I wish I had a New 3DS to play this on. This is my favorite 2D Mario title ever.

What the hell? They SHOULD have been putting out SNES games the whole fricking time and now only for the New 3DS? Screw you Nintendo.

I used to regularly buy everything on the 3DS until about a year ago when they stopped putting out much that I wanted. Way to keep me not caring Nintendo.

It's too bad they couldn't update the geometry and enemy character models. Everything else looks good enough, given it's an upgrade, but those two things really stand out.

EU boxart is easily better than the US art. I wish I could have that one.

IMO, given they've had so many other classics like Pac-Man and Megaman they should have tried like hell to add Simon Belmont just to complete the NES classic roster. Of course Konami officially hates video games so maybe it wasn't possible with those douches.

@MavezIgnikari Ninja Gaiden 1 is about as hard as Castlevania 1 is. I say that only because I've never been able to beat either of those games. Ninja Gaiden 2, by comparison, is far easier. It got to the point I could breeze through that in a single life, same with Castlevania 3.

It's like they're going out of their way to mess his face up. The rest of the image is fine but it's like the wrong face was photoshopped onto the rest of the image.

Given it was based on a story by Brian Michael Bendis it wou8ld have started out intriguing and then meandered to nothing by the mid point.

Cannot wait. I've wanted another Futuristic Racer for years.

Yeah, this game required a lot more work given it's more realistic look. Tweaking Wind Waker was relatively easy. But a lot of geometry and textures here just look baaaaaad.

I am not sure what video people are watching here but this is completely unplayable. And this is only with a clock downgrade. It would be impossible with the reduced cores and less/slower RAM. Some simple "optimizations" would not have worked.

I would be excited for it if it weren't for the fact I need a New 3DS to play with the 3D effect.

Cool it's finally translated. I didn't know this even existed. That being said the gameplay doesn't look like much fun at all.

Also, I know who The Beetle is.

I didn't find The Lost Levels all that difficult when I finally got play All-Stars. Then again, I can't even really play the original SMB very well anymore. So maybe I was just in really good practice at that time and it would have been monstrously frustrating for newer gamers.

I don't think the Streets of Rage games are nearly as good as people claim they are but I buy all of these games because I like that Sega and M2 are actually trying. I wish we could get more 3D conversions of various Arcade/SNES/etc... games from other companies.

While I like the music it would be nice if we could play our own tunes in the game to make it as Wipeout-ey as we like it.

I love the fact they have skins for every doctor as well. You can play as whoever is your favorite. Or as your least favorite and then keep knocking him to bits with Batman's Batarangs.

@HollywoodHogan Ignoring the fact the Camecube was more powerful than the PS2 and easier to develop for and they still got the shaft then?

@6ch6ris6 The PS4 is a significantly underpowered PC from six years ago. If you factor in that the NX should release later than the PS4 you have to figure that even with tech from four years ago it should be more powerful than both of the other consoles.

Do it, then surprise us all and release the game this November.

What is funny is Sega seems to understand better what to do with their old properties on the 3DS than Nintendo does. I will totally buy a 3D version of Gunstar Heroes.

It should be renamed "Taken Down By Nintendo in 3..2..1..."

That's a disappointing review, I was hoping it would be a really good game too.
