It seems that the move towards budget hardware status is picking up pace for the 3DS, which need not be a bad thing. Nintendo of America has announced two New Nintendo 3DS models - the smaller variations - that'll arrive on 25th November, with a recommended price of just $99.99 in the US. In the initial announcement no specific retailers have been confirmed.
As you can see there'll be two versions, black and white, each with a matching set of cover plates.
It's a very tempting deal, giving the New models an all-important sub-$100 price-of-entry. With the 3DS due to turn six years old in 2017, this seems like a smart move.
Are any of you in North America tempted by these models?

FINALLY a good price! Please tell me it's not retailer exclusive though.
Wow!
Well it's about time! Long overdue.
I prefer the smaller version because it's not as pixilated, it's more customisable and it's more portable (plus fingerprints don't get left behind)!
LOL took em long enough.
Wow... if you're just getting a 3DS now...there's a massive library of games. Where to start haha?!
Wait, when you say "Budget New Nintendo 3DS" models... do you mean "new" New 3DS models or "new" 3DS models?
Basically do they have all the new stuff my old Pokémon 3DS XL doesnt have?
At $99 that's a no brainer to upgrade my kids' original 3DS and 2DS. Might even grab one for myself to go with my New XL so I can have access to faceplates.
@DanteSolablood I mean a budget priced New Nintendo 3DS.
I'm still looking forward to Nintendo doing something like a 'New Classic 3DS Mini', or something.
My old 3DS could suffer an accident.
What ?! $100 for New 3DS ?
Also in White ?
I WANT IT !!!
Awesome! Lots of people have wanted this for a while now.
Here's hoping for a similar UK deal. I need something to play Pokemon Moon on.
I might have to trade in my 3DS for this, while I'll miss losing the exclusive X&Yness of my 3DS XL, I also can't deny that doing ANYTHING takes ages now on & a bit more pep in the New 3DS' step would come in handy.
Especially with Sun & Moon coming out!
HOLY.
Welp, I'm upgrading. No question about that.
That would be a good chance to upgrade my old 3DS, but I'm really more interested in the XL really.
Good to hear many people liked this, though
Finally a black one is being released! Great price too, will grab one. I won't be able to get the Switch at launch...ah the joys of college...but this won't break the bank, not at all...Always glad to have my birthday the same week as thanksgiving!!!!
New 3DS units in Canada currently sell for $200 (small version) or $240 (XL) plus taxes. I need an upgrade after the hinge on my old 3DS XL broke and have a backlog of games that make me interested, but that's a lot of money...
A price drop or sale would be very welcome.
Woohoo!
Does anyone know if this is just the sale price for the day or the regular price for this version?
Nice try, Nintendo. As tempting as this deal may be, you will not get any more money out of me until the Switch is released.
@ThomasBW84 Do you know where this 3DS is going to be sold at? Seems like a glaring omission not to include that (it's not just you guys, though... other news outlets just report the price of $99.99 and seemingly no store to buy it from).
Yes! I've been looking for a new 3ds to get a tv out card put in this is perfect.
God I love my standard new 3ds. Can't believe is gonna be 99 dollars now. Amazing price!
Come on NOE, announce a price drop! And do it before my Pokemon Sun/Moon edition XL ships too..... T.T
been waiting for a price like this for a long time. However I'll wait and see what kind of integration the new Nintendo Switch will have with this one, since I don't think I'll be getting both if I can't get the most out of it
I really want to buy a smaller, white New Nintendo 3DS, but they're getting harder to find in the UK for a decent price.
If Nintendo offer these in the UK at £100 I'll snap one up.
I firmly believe for Nintendo to drop the price so dramatically must mean they had way too many still sitting on shelves and this would give Nintendo a nice boost for Christmas considering they really have nothing else
And....still no charger.
I literally just sold my White one for $230 on eBay yesterday 😂😂😂
wow, amazing price! I suppose they're gonna sell hell of lot of units now, especially with Pokemon Sun & Moon being out in 2 weeks!
Hey, can you guys see if this is a permanent price drop or ONLY for Black Friday? Other sites are calling it a BF deal, which really worries me, as no way in heel an I going to be camping outside a Best Buy all day and night just to get a good deal on 3DS.
@Hordak was it gut feelin that made you want to sell your 3ds
@AVahne Do we even know whether we're getting the 3DS at a Best Buy?
@Vee_Flames
Sigh, we don't know anything other than the price. Until we know more I'm going to temper my excitement. I don't want to get hyped up only to find out it's BF only and each store only gets like 5-10 units.
I would be tempted to get this, but I'm not going to be able to camp outside a store to get my hands on a New Nintendo 3DS, and knowing Nintendo, they won't make enough units to satisfy demand.
So, unless this price drop is for long term, I may just stick with my 2DS.
Because lets be honest, these won't last long, especially with Pokemon Moon and Sun coming out.
@Vee_Flames Nintendo hasn't said, but I suspect it'll be widely available as this could be a key 'Black Friday' item. I'll add a line explaining that no retailers have been confirmed yet.
If I can get a good trade in deal with my original 3DS then I'll finally upgrade and get to enjoy Monster Hunter the right way.
That's crazy, this is crazy, Nintendo is making a really smart business move just in time for Christmas.
Hot damn! These things are getting CHEAP
And the uk ? Don't forget us !!
Darn that's tempting.
Nice. And about time. Nintendo unfortunately seems to think it's still in a position where it can charge premium prices for it's product... even though it's way past it's expiration date from a tech standpoint. No one can deny that there are great games on the systems, but pricing definitely needs to come in line with it's age...especially with the NS on the way. No it's not a portable, but it crosses over and it's a really hard sell to have 6+ year old tech (some withered tech after all) priced anywhere in the neighborhood of newer tech. 3DS family sales have been slipping and with quality games on the systems, I think it really does come down to a pricing and time on market.
Let's hope this creates renewed interest in the system and speaks to those who were holding off. Here's to some great Black Friday deals and bundles too...
There's FINALLY a N3DS model available that isn't white? Hmm... If this isn't a retailer-exclusive item that's very limited, I may finally upgrade.
Tempted?! The black one is a must buy at that price! I've wanted the regular sized New 3DS ever since it was announced, but had to buy an XL.
..wow, so tempting for portability, but my hands cramp on an XL..almost wish i could switch to a XXL..
..oh, wait...
Ah hell, I bought the Mario 3D land Bundle and replaced the face plates with that specific white one right after. I could have saved a ton of money, and got the black colored one, if I had waited. C'est La Vie.
I want one. So I can have the black and white models. And matching MH4U faceplates.
I don't need another 3DS (this would be my seventh purchase) but DARN IT the temptation is STRONG.
That's as cheap as it can get!
So either the 2DS is never going to sell again, or it's also getting a price drop
Yay! I was hoping something like this would pop up, wanted to upgrade my niece from her old 2DS. She is going to wig out
@ThomasBW84 I don't know how widely avaible it will be as the NoA twiter account fit "while supplies last" into it's 144 characters.
"Attention Black Friday shoppers, while supplies last, on 11/25 grab a New Nintendo #3DS bundle in black or white for just $99.99!"
https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/795672177941024771
Last year I thought they were going to try and sell a few more Wii U w/ that $249 Smash Splat bundle, but it disappeared after BF weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if this is gone just as fast and they go back to $149 (or whatever it is, I forget.)
I mean they really seem to be emphasizing the BF date in the tweet as well, not "Starting on BF" simply "on 11/25". They'll all be gone before Monday. I'll have to see if my kids want one.
3DS finally comes into impulse purchase territory just in time for the launch of new Pokemon games and with Super Mario Maker 3DS on the horizon. I think 3DS will sell very well this holiday.
@rjejr
Darnit, that's pretty much confirmation it'll be BF only.
Bad move Nintendo.
Good buy for non-3DS owners, but there is still no advantage for 3DS owners to upgrade.
I think I may upgrade from my original XL, I've been wanting a NN3DS (non XL) and love the look of these! Good job Nintendo!
I'm tempted but I'm in th uk 😔
Finally the black model I've been waiting for, and without any junk bundled in, and at a great price to boot.
Launching this SKU for the first time in this market as a limited Black Friday offer, though? Blood's gonna run in the streets this November...
@Alshain01
As previous owner of the OG Zelda 3DS, and current owner of a Murican 2DS and Japanese black New 3DS, I can say there's definitely an advantage to upgrading, if bought at this low price.
The Standard New 3DS has the best build quality and engineering of all the 3DS models and the New 3DSes in general are just more pleasant to use. I personally don't care much for 3D and I don't actually feel the "better" 3D is that much better at doing its job, so my perspective is from a general gamer's point of view. Navigating the OS is faster so it's less annoying to use (still pretty annoying by today's standards) and games that use ALL of the 3DS's power like the MH games, Pokemon Sun and Moon, Smash Bros, and Hyrule Warriors run better and load faster. So if it's at this cheap price, I would say that this is definitely insta-buy territory.
It's just too bad that this seems to be Black Friday only and will likely be in very short supply (I assume 5-10 units per store).
@AVahne Your 1st post got me thinking, but #32 had me looking.
Since the US doesn't really sell the smaller version I can't see them starting now after that weekend is over. Best case scenario around Feb or March they bring these back for $129 and phase out the 2DS as they can't be making much money on a $80 console.
wow bargain! would be nice for UK too
Since my wife will be going to the hospital for a kidney transplant, this could be a good thing for me, as she wanted to take my other one in with her. At least I'll be able to play the few games I like on it still...plus, the faceplate covers will be a nice addition if you can find the other ones...besides online.
i wonder what the price will be for Canada. or if Canada will even get that deal. I need to buy my four year old a new handheld since his 2ds doesn't read game carts half the time, plus I did just buy his siblings new ones this year. He just got my old hand-me down 2DS when I got my AC bundle last Christmas.
@leo13 That's what I was thinking...I see the 2DS having a blackfriday deal and go for about $50. The 2DS would be nice if you can close the lid on it, but having the screen open like that, to me, that just means scratch the heck out of it. That's one of the reasons why I got rid of the PSP and had no interest in the VITA (besides the lack of games, which is also why I never owned a Wii U).
@Oubie
well I've been waiting for a reason to upgrade from the vanilla model for a while.
this price tag sweetens the deal.
Black Friday only price?
I thought for a minute, it also came with a downloadable game, but I guess I was wrong. Still though, a big price drop for the NEW 3DS...half % off! Great deal, but makes you wonder now about the Switch, and if it really is backwards compatible with 3DS games or not. Usually, you wouldn't see this kind of a huge price drop, unless something was going to completely take it over, which just makes you wonder on if there will be some way to play the 3DS games on the Switch...January will tell the truth.
Too bad it's not the XL. I can't downgrade from the XL to a smaller screen.
I'm disappointed this appears to be only a bf sale, for that weekend, or only while supplies last. My 3DS is an original model. (It was apparently used, then sold &/or returned to the store; it had various photos on it, specifically Nintendogs. I've had it since Christmas 2011; a gift from my extended relatives. Don't know where they got it from.) A handful of drops out of my pocket, just general use, & my system is now barely playable. I'd upgrade for Christmas, but since the price, & stock may be temporary, Nintendo gets my "no thanks". (I'm not a bf shopper.) Now, I would have no problem with any other model on shelves, if the price drop were to all models(not just these, though I do like the Mario design), & permanent. I imagine a good deal of these will wind up on eBay, Amazon, etc.
I was expecting them to inch closer to their budget price (starting a while back), not just throw it out there before the Switch all of a sudden. Better late than never, though.
@abbyhitter
I have old eyes ann old hands, but going to the N3DS was not a downgrade. The colours are soooo much brighter and the screen is sharp and crisp. The volume is better, too.
I wouldn't go back to the XL model for anything.
Honestly, I just want the face plates...
i have a 2ds now maby i should upgrade maby...
I was tempted to ask my brother to hold one for me, until I realised that the 3DS is region locked :/ Drat
@Decapre they do look awesome
Great googily-moogily, I'd be tempted to pick up another for no reason if that deal made its way Blighty-side.
Yeah I'm getting the white one.
I guess having been satisfied with my 3DS XL, I wasn't aware the New 3DS was released in two different sizes. In comparison to a standard 3DS XL, how big is this one? Is it the same size as the original 3DS? If its not that drastic of a downgrade in terms of size, I might just take the plunge on this if it means a smoother experience for some games
Edit: Never mind. Google is my friend, lol
Wow. Shall I switch my old 3ds to a new 3ds or wait for the new switch.
See what I did there
Amazon will give me $75 in credit for my Cobalt Blue 3DS. I'm really hoping Amazon carries this New 3DS so I can get this for $25!
This is a great deal, if you can find them. It sounds like it's only offered on that specific date. I would assume that there will be other holiday sales later this year. I still want to purchase another Wii U, as well as, another 3DS.
@JLPick
Nintendo already confirmed in an interview with Famitsu that Switch is not backwards compatible with the 3DS.
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/10/nintendo_confirms_switch_isnt_physically_backwards_compatible_with_3ds_and_wii_u_software
Looks very nice.
I'd pick this up without question if it ever came to Aus. Course then it'd probably be $200, so maybe not. 😒
WAITAMINUTE...why is is facing AWAY in all of the pictures? Is it missing something on the other side? It still has a little R-Stick nub thingy, right?
The brains in me says, save up for the SWITCH, but the compulsive buyer in me says GET NOW.
Really hoping this price isn't only for Black Friday. I've been wanting to get a N3DS after my original one's started acting up (R button barely works now and Circle Pad feels stuck-ish with a replacement cap I got).
I'm saving up for a Switch, but a $100 detour before March should be okay. Hopefully the price is permanent (or lasts a bit past the 25th) and Amazon is one of the retailers for it. Gotta make use of my Prime if possible.
Great, now if I could just find the Pokémon Blue faceplate set for a reasonable price I'd be set.
i wonder how many people actually have a 3ds. seems like every user has bought at least four of them.
A Price drop? Announced just few hours after we finally bought the new New 3DS to replace that faulty -transfer risky- one...
Typical.
AARRGHH man I want a black one so bad ... I'm going to end up trading my Pokémon 20th white one for the black (hell yes I'll be keeping the Pokémon faceplates, are you nuts?)
Good grief that's a good price. I might finally be able to justify buying it even with the shorter stylus and smaller screen...
Sweet, if this is in Canada too, I'd consider jumping for that price. Still on the fence because the lack of (even passably decent) games and overall brokenness of the SNES VC (e.g., no 2-player mode) feels like a scam, but at least it's no longer a pricey scam.
Plus, this price point gives more money to waste on cover plates, eh?
@Pokefanmum82
Get a Q-tip. Remove a little bit of the fluff on the tip end so it can fit. Get some rubbing alcohol and insert the slightly-defluffed tip of the Q-tip into the rubbing alcohol bottle.
Get your son's 2DS and insert the defluffed-alchohol'd tip of it into the system's cartridge port. Rub the game contacts inside the port vigorously. Don't worry, you won't break it. It may be advisable to totally submerge one end of a Q-tip in rubbing alcohol and letting the game reading contacts inside the 2DS' cartridge port get completely with with rubbing alcohol. Believe me, this does a great job of restoring it.
Then, get all your son's 3DS games and clean the individual game contacts with a Q-tip given the same former treatment. The games will be safe for play in about 5 minutes. Leave your son's 2DS cart-to dry for about an hour, then test a couple games out to see if the prior procedure helped the system's reliability.
I hope your son's 2DS will be in proper working order now.
Fingers crossed!
@AVahne Most of that is either irrelevant or subjective. Build quality, better 3D, and comfort of use is all subjective. Build quality doesn't really matter if you already own one anyway. Load times aren't really all that relevant, they are quite fast on the 3DS so saving 0.5 seconds isn't going to net you much. So all your really get is the ability to play the very incredibly small list of "New 3DS" exclusives and the SNES games on the VC.
That's not much at all to pay $100 for, and you would be losing screen size. Like I said, not much incentive to upgrade at all. Your definition of "cheap" and mine are clearly different, because $100 is a lot money and there is no reason for me to upgrade when my ALBW 3DSXL still works just fine for everything I want to play, including Pokemon Sun and Moon.
Omg, they are finally releasing the smaller New3DS in black in the US?!?! Hmmm, that's tempting, but with Switch around the corner, do we still care?
Including the terms 'Black Friday Shoppers' and 'while supplies last', I'm surprised anyone commenting is under the impression this is permanent.
I don't want to call anyone stupid, but I'm tempted. Really, really tempted.
Like right around the launch of Sun and Moon, they're going to press the killswitch? Again, very, very tempted.
Nope! We just bought a 2DS in early October bringing my family total to 1 2DS, 2 XLs, & 1 "New" 3DS. I think I've surrendered enough money to the 3DS family.
.....now if I would have known about these $99 systems, I would have waited and added $20!
Have they ever improved the screens? My sister got one and it pronounced scratch just sort of happened after she imported her stuff on it. Getting it fixed was a tense two weeks. Ever since, she always keeps the foam padding from the packaging in there.
The hell? I just bought a New 3DS last week! Noooo
Sweeeeeeet! If we'll be unable to migrate our games to the Switch (seems thats likely the case, can't see how it would work) then I may take advantage of this. I have 64gb worth of games on my MH4U XL, but I've been wanting a smaller one with the cover plates for a while and now the price is right.
The 3D is still a chore, the button placement is idiotic, the nub is useless, the 'boost' that games receive is negligible, and having to remove the battery door to access the Micro SD card is damaging to the door itself, but if anyone wants to throw money away now (than save for Switch), go right ahead.
Screw it i want the black one. FFS Nintendo please stock enough to at least last the launch weekend.
I hope Gamestop gets them because I'm a regular at my local GS and they are always holding stuff for me no matter what it is. For example: They held a Pokemon GO Plus, Super Saiyan Trunks POP! Figure, and some other stuff, and they're even holding a NES Classic for me, so I hope the 99$ New 3DS comes to Gamestop!
Well I was going to save up for NS, but I may have to see about finally replacing my launch week 3DS. It has taken quite a beating by being lugged around all this time. Heck, even my GBA SP is in better condition. Black Friday crowd, here I come.
@SH007ME And still no dual circle pads!!
I need to add both to my ever growing collection. Still, I'm afraid that they'll be BF exclusive (see the tweet).
@feelinsupersonic true I think that's why it sold well. Most people must of bought 2 or 3 4 5.
Sadly I have 2
@UK-Nintendo I might sound like a jerk, but I just bought 3DSes, 32 y 33 (the new lime green one and the New Pokemon 3DSXL).
@Oubie I had mine for 12 months, sold it on when I got the Wii U and have been kicking myself ever since. I may just have to dip in again to soothe my 'new toy' itch.
Wii U, New 3DS, NES Classic and then the Switch. I cant justify buying all those systems...what to do, what to do.
This might actually tempt me to buy a new New 3DS. My current one recently fell down a flight of stairs and now the R-button is broken, which is really annoying, but I was unsure about investing in a new one with the Switch on the horizon. (It didn't break anything else though. I swear Nintendo makes their consoles out of titanium or something)
@rjejr
Well I was tempted because my new 3dsxl's screen is cracked a bit but I'm not waiting in line
Ugh...yes this is tempting...
Why can't Australian retailers have Black Friday! I mean we've adopted bloody Halloween!! That's a sweet deal.
Finally! Something other than White here in NA!
And at a good price no less.
Strongly considering this one.
$100 is how much I paid for a vita.
So yeah, about time.
@AVahne
I don't think it's going to be a door buster or anything. I think this is just going to be the sale price during the Black Friday weekend. I would just check online and when you see them go in stock, pounce on it. Can always resort to NowInStock.com which will surely have a tracker for these once the placeholder listings go up
And here I just put the Super Mario 3D land edition on layaway because it was so much cheaper than the normal model
@Yorumi
It's time..,
I remember when I bought my turquoise OG model- I wasn't even into gaming at the time, it was just an impulse purchase out of fondness for playing Nintendo games as a kid and young teenager.
It was a great system but the new 3DS is such an improvement that it cannot be overstated. 3D that you can actually use, and enjoy! The increased download speeds will keep you from chucking your handheld out the window in frustration, the NFC is convenient for games with unlockable amiibo content, and let's be honest the faceplates are just snazzy. I have a nice little collection of faceplates that I swap out on a rotational basis.
And the SNES virtual console, Xenoblade and fair share of games with higher framerates or functionality is icing on the cake. Heck you could sell your original model for 50 bucks after you transfer and it would be a $50 upgrade.
@JaxonH
I really hope that's the case. Thanks !
@DWWM I got mine in January 2015 for £179.99. I'm not 100% happy because I wanted black and I only had the option of getting white, but it's still worth the price I paid.
@Captain_Gonru Tell your wife you knew about this but you spent the extra $100 for the XL b/c she's worth it. You're welcome.
"bundled"... with what?
Also, "while supplies last" translates to: "see you on ebay!"
Finally might be able to get my mitts on the black one. I already have the Boo glow-in-the-dark faceplates on my white Japanese N3DS, but they'd look better on black.
HERE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION: is this budget n3ds able to go online or not?! Keep in mind the budget Nintendo Wii did not come with online abilities.
Oh nice, it's the 3DS I've been waiting for, at the price I've been waiting for. Just when I've all but run out of things to play on it...
I'll likely get it anyway.
@Iggy-Koopa Need my recommendations?
:/ i had hoped for a new charging cord. my cord broke.
i had hoped for a new charger cord scence mine broke..
Good price! Anyone who doesn't have a 3DS at this point, should insta-buy for this price imo.
I did buy this last year for ~$200, which is kind of a bummer, but I think overall it's a good thing for Nintendo (hopefully they make this a trend). Dedicated gaming has been an expensive hobby, but if Nintendo wants to reach the masses and casual audiences they need to be price savvy, and this is a leap in the right direction (after all, you can't have massive hits and numbers like Pokemon Go unless there are that many people who are able to play/buy the games. Expanding the audience increases potential for the software sales).
Hoping this also indicates that the Switch will be an affordable / eye-catching price (seeing as how they are making the older hardware cheaper).
Definitely getting one of these. Pokemon will feel so nice on a new 3DS
@KidRad It's going to be really interesting to see responses to this post.
It said recommended price start from $100. So, will it stay on $100 even not Black Friday anymore ?
I just upgraded to the NN3DSXL Solgaleo and Lunala edition. If I hadn't done that, I'd be all over that black NN3DS.
@Oubie Feel free, friend.
@DanteSolablood If it's not a 2DS, then it will be the New 3DS with the upclocked CPU, super-stable 3D, and inbuilt amiibo support. The 'old' 3DS has now been discontinued.
I have so many 3DS systems already but this is tempting. The black one looks great! I have the small white one (I foolishly bought the Happy Home Designer bundle to get it). I really wanted the black one but it seemed like Nintendo was reluctant to bring the small ones to North America. Dammit Nintendo....you've suckered me in again. My disposable pocket money never stands a chance. If I can snag the black on online, I will get it to add to my other 4 systems lol
Is there like limited stock??
@Luna_110 Still kind of makes you wonder if they Do have something up their sleeves. They could always change it, and they could have just said that so it doesn't hurt holiday sales at the moment. If they announced it was compatible, not many people would purchase the 3DS system...just the games to get ready with. Announce that it's not, they could still sell the system, and since they're not really expecting many Wii U's to move after announcing the Switch, something like that could hurt them. That was the only thing I was thinking, even though they announced that it wasn't. My only other guess, is that the 3DS is coming to the virtual console in some way, but who knows...nintendo always has some surprises in store for people.
Don't expect IPS screens though
Very cool. This might actually tempt me to get a new one
Are they only going to be sub 100 for Black Friday or is the change going to be eventually permanent
@Iggy-Koopa Let me see, fan of Zelda? Get A Link Between Worlds, Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D, or download the classics A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening DX, Oracle of Ages/Seasons. That's already a lot of gaming hours.
More into the mushroom Kingdom? I can recommend Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Mario vs. DK: Tipping Stars or the classic Super Mario World.
There're just too much to recommend... Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Fire Emblem Fates, Fantasy Life, Kirby: Planet Robobot, Dragon Quest VII, SteamWorld Dig/Heist and the upcoming Pokémon Sun & Moon to name a few.
Hmmm...maybe it's time to finally get a 3DS ☺
Take my Money!!
It's time to upgrade then.
Have this constant urge to downgrade from the New 3DS XL to the smaller screen.
That's a steal, but no way am I getting up early on BF to stand outside a store (I don't do the BF thing as it is). I'm more interested in the the XL New Galaxy Model anyway.
I might actually consider this... Such a great price, plus the smaller one is so cool. I could sell my Majoras Mask N3DS XL and replace it with this.
@Volkanberg
Same. The smaller one is just so dang cool...
Aw, come on! I literally just bought the white N3ds! NOW they come out with a black variant, the one that I wanted from release day?
This is outstanding news! Finally the regular sized New 3DS in BLACK! Whoo!
I'm so glad I've held out for so, so incredibly long to upgrade. I knew my hopes and patience would pay off eventually. Now to see if I can actually get my hands on one of these bad boys before I have to pay scalpers an extra 50% online...
It says a bundle does it come with a game? Just wondering either way I'm getting one
@Captain_Gonru You have to work BF? You're having a wonderful month.
I do like that purple one, $149 would be tempting.
2 days behind again, taking a 6 hour online defensive driving course, and the election coverage. Saw Dr. Strange w/ the boys, we all agreed it was very good - recommend.
@Captain_Gonru "And I saw Dr. Strange over the weekend. Did you stay for both post-credit scenes?"
Barely, my bladder almost burst though, it was coming out my eyes, coming out of my ears, coming out of my everywhere.
@Captain_Gonru I needed too, I've been trying to cheer up my very successful sister who brought her 3 year old daughter w/ her to the polls to vote. She's pretty upset.
@Oubie Thanks. There's a lot there that I have played, so it's good to know that I got the best end of it. Definitely checking out Link Between Worlds, Mario & Luigi, M vs DK and Dragon Quest. I plan on getting the new DQ on 3DS (and perhaps Switch too) as well, that dual modern/retro view is so damn nice.
I might buy one. Would be nice to have a backup
For two years now I've been saying that I was going to hold off on buying a New 3DS until Nintendo released the regular sized black version in North America, and complaining that they hadn't done it yet. Now that it's finally coming I think I'm kinda obligated to put my money where my mouth is and go queue up outside a store 2 or 3 hours before they open on Black Friday to try and get one.
