Re: Review: Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch)

Mommar

@Captain_Gonru I'm not sure it sold out by Friday night. None of the workers in any of the stores between Target, Walmart or Toys R Us had any knowledge of the game coming to Switch nor could they bring it up in the computers for anything but 3DS.

Re: NSFW: Wolfenstein II's Launch Trailer Shows The Many Ways To Skin A Nazi

Mommar

@MarcelRguez How is it self-own? They're all called Nazis, even McCain ten years ago was called a Nazi. They had Adolf Hitler wearing a McCain campaign pin on Family Guy way back in 2007. They're always called Nazis. Then the Trump slogan is used in reverse and they aren't supposed to think that isn't a slight from an industry that is very left leaning? I fail to see how that's self-owning in any way. You clearly don't like Trump, I think you're letting that view cloud your view of the situation. If there was some Chinese infiltrstion game with a slogan like makemaofeeltheburn I'm quite sure you'd see the anti-Bernie parallel.

Re: Review: Pankapu (Switch eShop)

Mommar

@bluesdance The review is accurate. It's fun enough but nothing to write home about, a 7 is precisely where I would put it. And whoever says it's full of bugs should probably either redownload the game or contact Nintendo about a problem with their system because it runs fine.

Re: Stern Pinball Arcade Will Test Your Flipping Skills On Switch This December

Mommar

@samuelvictor It won't really be the same, these are designed to play like a real pinball table. Zen regularly does things that can't actually work in reality, they're literally fantasy tables. Plus their physics are floaty and never feels like a real game of pinball. Hopefully this game will do a better job, like the old Pinball Hall of Fame games did, handling the physics of what a real table feels like.

Re: Oddworld Creator Lorne Lanning "Has No Faith" In Switch

Mommar

The problem all of these QuadA developers, and Lanning, all have is that they don't realize where their demographic is anymore. Not every adult can sit their fat asses in front of a sixty inch 4K TV and play anymore. Adults are up and on the move now, they have places to be and the Switch is good enough to get the job done. They're stuck in the same immature mindset from a devade or fidyeen years ago when everyone my age DID have time to sit around all day. Tjete's a huge audience for the Switch, it's the only consile I can personally play, but they're all resisting change. Until Sony knocks it off, then it will be brilliant, yaddah yaddah.

Re: Creator Of Cancelled Metroid Fan Game AM2R Is Looking Forward To Samus Returns

Mommar

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you want to make a fan version of a Nintendo game (or anything, really) give ZERO indication you're working on it until it's 100% done then dump it on the internet where it can be torrented, etc and regardless of what the rights holders tell you it's already out, available and can't be easily killed off.

Re: Remake of Metroid II, Metroid: Samus Returns, Announced for 3DS at E3

Mommar

Unfortunately it's made my MercurySteam. I feel like the animation suffers from the same sort of stiff animation as their previous Castlevania game. Also, it has no atmosphere.

The swatting mechanic seems overused as well. Just watching the bit of treehouse stream it looks like you have to swat damn near everything all the time.
