The game should come with a "tour mode" where you can just run around the levels sans enemies like this to look at the art direction in the backgrounds.
@tourjeff Which was a TERRIBLE port. Absolutely horrible looking. My one purchase so far I wish i could take back if it weren't for the fact I bought it digitally.
@Captain_Gonru I'm not sure it sold out by Friday night. None of the workers in any of the stores between Target, Walmart or Toys R Us had any knowledge of the game coming to Switch nor could they bring it up in the computers for anything but 3DS.
@MarcelRguez How is it self-own? They're all called Nazis, even McCain ten years ago was called a Nazi. They had Adolf Hitler wearing a McCain campaign pin on Family Guy way back in 2007. They're always called Nazis. Then the Trump slogan is used in reverse and they aren't supposed to think that isn't a slight from an industry that is very left leaning? I fail to see how that's self-owning in any way. You clearly don't like Trump, I think you're letting that view cloud your view of the situation. If there was some Chinese infiltrstion game with a slogan like makemaofeeltheburn I'm quite sure you'd see the anti-Bernie parallel.
@bluesdance The review is accurate. It's fun enough but nothing to write home about, a 7 is precisely where I would put it. And whoever says it's full of bugs should probably either redownload the game or contact Nintendo about a problem with their system because it runs fine.
@samuelvictor It won't really be the same, these are designed to play like a real pinball table. Zen regularly does things that can't actually work in reality, they're literally fantasy tables. Plus their physics are floaty and never feels like a real game of pinball. Hopefully this game will do a better job, like the old Pinball Hall of Fame games did, handling the physics of what a real table feels like.
Meanwhile third parties (and other console fanboys) keep offering idiotic excuses for not making games for the system when it's been demonstrated time and again how useful the thing is for Adults these days...
Watching the water in that new Mario level makes me want a new Waverace. These new videos give me a Mario 64 vibe, it would be mice to pair that with Waverace again.
@Menchi187 Except Nintendo have the only useful hardware. PS4/Xbone are tied to your home, but so is a PC, so get the ultra powerful PC because it's the best option if you're teathered. But the Switch is actually useful because I can leave the house with it. The "lack" of power no longer matters at that point.
@mike_intv The problem with auction sites disallowing pre-orders is that often times in order to get con-exclusives (San Diego being a primary example) the only way I can buy some of those things is to pre-order on an auction site.
The problem all of these QuadA developers, and Lanning, all have is that they don't realize where their demographic is anymore. Not every adult can sit their fat asses in front of a sixty inch 4K TV and play anymore. Adults are up and on the move now, they have places to be and the Switch is good enough to get the job done. They're stuck in the same immature mindset from a devade or fidyeen years ago when everyone my age DID have time to sit around all day. Tjete's a huge audience for the Switch, it's the only consile I can personally play, but they're all resisting change. Until Sony knocks it off, then it will be brilliant, yaddah yaddah.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you want to make a fan version of a Nintendo game (or anything, really) give ZERO indication you're working on it until it's 100% done then dump it on the internet where it can be torrented, etc and regardless of what the rights holders tell you it's already out, available and can't be easily killed off.
Unfortunately it's made my MercurySteam. I feel like the animation suffers from the same sort of stiff animation as their previous Castlevania game. Also, it has no atmosphere.
The swatting mechanic seems overused as well. Just watching the bit of treehouse stream it looks like you have to swat damn near everything all the time.
Hmm, it looks interesting. The graphics remind me of a few of the darker Sega Genesis games, names of which escape me at the moment. Definitely a Genesis vibe here though.

Indian Diablo sounds like fun to me.
Re: Top Hunter Is Your Next Neo Geo ACA Release On Switch
While the graphics are great the gameplay is tedious at best.
Re: Review: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 (Switch)
@Ryu_Niiyama We can't even get X-Men in our Lego (or MvC) games now. I highly doubt we'll ever see a standalone title for them any time soon.
Re: Random: A Look Back at Altered Beast, The Game and Album
I didn't know anything about this connection to Matthew Sweet. All I know is he did the vocals to my favorite Delerium song, Daylight.
Re: Aces of the Luftwaffe: Squadron Flies Onto the Switch eShop This Week
@FX102A I have this same feeling, the chunky cartoon look and animation style always rubs me wrong. But shmup!

@crackafreeze I can echo that. Earth Atlantis is a massive letdown.

Re: Random: Move Over N64 Kid, We've Got Nintendo Switch Kid Now
@Damo The floor rotating routine is amusing but it doesn't beat the unhinged screaming of N64 kid.
Re: Deals: The Best Nintendo Switch Micro SD Cards
Has anybody upgraded their cards yet? Is there some special process for moving stuff or do you just have to download everything again?

@In_Ex_Fan I was about to say, no X-Men no sale. X-Men and X-Men fans made that whole franchise.

@Ryu_Niiyama cough*waverace*cough
This is going to be a great Birthday this year.
Re: Weirdness: People Just Can't Stop Talking About Mario's Nipples
To be honest I didn't even notice. But now that I know I'm going to have Mario run around shirtless everywhere.

And a better one.
