This looks way more charming and interesting than I thought when I read new Wii U exclusive. I figured it would be one of those RCMADX games. I might pick this up since I love my Wii U and that fake NES promo art is winning me over.

I'm just excited they are making a big budget movie at all. Everyone is so hard to please these days. The Resident Evil films were enjoyable for the most part, but could have been much better. Up until 3 Musketeers and Pompei I thought Paul WS Anderson was a pretty good direction. Hopefully he brings his Resident Evil and Event Horizon game to this project.

For $30 I might just get this because I like physical games, but probably not lol. Buying a physical game I can't resell defeats half the purpose.

I'd rather have ports of Resident Evil 1-6, and maybe the first few Assassin's Creed games as well. With the sales of Skyrim, I hope we get a lot of last gen ports of great games. There's plenty of PS3 games I'd buy for Switch.

This would be a must buy if the Switch had a web browser. Otherwise it's useless to me cuz I don't really play games in tabletop mode.

I do really wanna see this on 3DS, but I doubt it will ever come if the backers don't band together to get their money back.

I love Mario Tennis but all of those new slo-mo trick shots ruined my excitement for this. I might still get it but not until it's like $30 used at Gamestop. Can you easily play an online match with classic gameplay (no slo mo zone shots or whatever)???

You know, I'm fine with this, I guess. But where is the web browser? Where are the improvements on the Switch experience? Hackers gon hack but I shouldn't have to have a half assed machine for it. They could have knocked it out the park with Switch, but to me it feels like Nintendo is resting on their success. All the little things add up, not to mention e3 was highly disappointing if you don't care about Smash, which I don't.

So I'm not getting it. Can you play these minigames with strangers around the world? If not...wow.

It's definitely lost some magic for me, especially since Smash is not for me and Pokemon doesn't look like something I want to play either, sadly. The system is over a year old and still doesn't even have Netflix or a web browser, or any other QOL improvements. I love the Switch itself but I've been increasingly underwhelmed for the past year.

I never played a Persona game, but I definitely still love my 3DS and want more games for it. Someone tell me why I might like Persona for 3DS! I like turn based games a lot.

This looks fun. I'll take all the mobile ports they throw at me if they are fun and don't have the kind of micro transactions that are needed to fully enjoy the game.

Obviously I want Retro to do another action/adventure/fps type game, but this sounds fun and Star Fox deserves a great game. By the sound of it I'll definitely be getting this.

This weekend I've been playing Lord of the Rings The Third Age for Gamecube and I'm going to start playing Metroid Prime tonight. I'm going to play the whole trilogy before 4 comes out.

I've had mostly great service from Nintendo over the years. I've had things fixed out of warranty but it wasn't that cheap...

@ThanosReXXX I never really looked into Dolphin because my laptops are always low end. Is there any way to use a Gamecube or cheap bluetooth controller with it?

Ugh. It's so aggravating that they are keeping the web browser under lock and key. Along with the lack of Netflix, themes, a play journal, voice chat, etc

I can't wait. I'll be getting Mario Tennis too, but I'm not interested in all of the new trick shots and power ups going on in that game. Luckily it can be played without all of that. As long as this game has online play I'm day 1.

I have this for 3DS and the game is beautiful, but I can't make it 10 meters without dying -_-

It was never going to not get a physical release, and it was never going to not be $60, and it was never going to not be ported to Switch after the relative failure of the Wii U version compared to the Wii remake. I love the original DKC games and Returns, but after 10 years of 2D sidescroller after 2D sidescroller, I have no interest. Happy for those who wanted it though

Please be whenever, as long as the physical copy is still a thing.

Thanks for the article. This is such a let down as a longtime fan. I was actually getting happier as they added little things like eGuides and 3DS/Wii U games you can purchase with gold points. Now, the current model makes those 3DS games look like a trip to Hawaii in comparison. I hate having these love/hate feelings towards Nintendo, but they give me no choice.

One of the casualties of the internet and having everything at our fingertips. We spend less and less time at actual stores and probably with people in general. Makes me sad to know that in a few years all we will have are Target/Walmart and very small mom and pop stores.

I'm gonna be honest I didn't read the review yet, but that 3rd screenshot just sold me on this game.

So is this basically an on rails Oregon Trail with very spiffy visuals?
