No, what is probably happening is retailers know having a big line of people who won't get one means more sales for their stores. People who wait in line expecting an SNES classic are more likely to buy other things in the store, like another game etc.

You guys forgot to mention that Switch owners will be getting Shaq Fu for free due to the wait on the other features. That more than makes up for it to me because they don't have to do that AT ALL.We would have just waited and accepted it as the usual on Nintendo systems.

The Iwata thing aside, what he spoke to in regards to 3rd parties and Nintendo is very relevant and spot on imo.

I usually side with how the 3rd parties feel about Nintendo from a business standpoint, but f*** this guy for that dumb a** comment on Iwata!

This is hilarious. The funny thing is their game looks pretty good compared to most things like it on the Google Play store.

This is annoying, considering the large list of proven indie developers who straight up said Nintendo told them 'No, not now'...

This is awesome, and Konami deserves credit for taking this page out of Nitnendo's book. Definitely made at least one guy more interested in a purchase.

@LiberatedAnimal I agree they should and could do a lot more, starting with the power of the system (sigh, I know), but Dark Souls 3 and Resident Evil are not coming to Switch as of right now. Resident Evil is not even rumored or hinted at, and there's only been very slight rumblings of DS3. I wouldn't hold my breath for ANY AAA 3rd party games outside of the sports games, and maybe the next COD.

I was not expecting this at all and this was by far the best part of e3 for me. I'm glad Nintendo is brave enough to continue the Prime franchise after the poor sales of Federation Force and Corruption (to a much lesser extent).

I love turn based games and I loved this reveal. It felt like Nintendo returning to a live conference for a second with the way Ubisoft lead their show with this game & the crowd's response.

I'm more happy that these are getting physical releases than I am mad that they are expensive. It's pretty clear this is a result of Nintendo's decisions and not some grand conspiracy on the part of almost every 3rd party publisher.

I'm not buying this if it doesn't have online multiplayer.

No review of this? Nintendo Life used to be so good with reviewing everything on the eShop, and now you guys aren't even reviewing the VERY FEW decent games released. What gives? Ya'll hiring?

I'm happy with more 3DS games, but this doesn't excite me. It's Black and White 2 all over again. A Switch port would have made this kind of thing a lot more exciting, but I definitely don't want to play those same environments with slightly different pokemon and more dumb "ultra", "mega" or whatever moves. Where is Detective Pikachu?!

It's a smart move any time a Wii U game is ported to Switch. They need to get them all out over the first year though, because these announcements are not exciting.

Side Note: Anyone else would have gladly paid $100 more their Switch to have it be on equal footing as PS4/XBO? I know that alone wouldn't solve this kind of problem, but it would take the biggest excuse away from 3rd parties, and we would no doubt get a couple multiplats...

Very disappointed! I understand why publishers often skip Nintendo platforms, but this is clearly a missed opportunity. They would make money on a Switch version.

I hope it's Pokemon Stars and it's exclusive to Switch, even though I still want the 3DS to be supported for at least all of 2018.

Can you please go back to listing the eshop deals as well? The Nintendo website lately hasn't been listing them on that page. They list the featured or publisher specific deals, but if you scroll down to 'price drops' it's empty.

This would be a lot more fun with online play. Just glad to have a volleyball game on 3DS though

@Volmun But that Street Fighter for 3DS was and still is one of the best produced games by a 3rd party on the system. And in fact Capcom is definitely one of the only 3rd party that supported 3DS, at any time, with AAA games. I have hope they will do the same for Switch. I need Resident Evil!

Well it should sell at least as well as Bomberman, and that sold well for what it was. I know this is definitely on my list of eventual must buys.

It is VERY clear that it's NINTENDO who will only allow these publishers to release their game cheaper on the eShop if the physical release comes with some kind of trinket to justify it's cost. It's smart in a way because most of these keychains and soundtracks cost nothing to produce, thus increasing profit margins on the physical releases. For me it's a good thing because I always like when there's a bonus with my game, as a collector.

If you are like me, and are COMPLETELY dissatisfied with how much worse My Nintendo is than Club Nintendo, just don't log in and let those coins expire! They will get the message.
