Re: Random: The Nintendo DS Browser Is On Sale, So Now You Can Use The Internet Wherever You Are

McGruber

I had this and was in love with it. I remember going on websites in my local cafe after school and feeling so cool. If I wasn't broke I'd buy this today for collection and nostalgia purposes. If anyone wants to buy it and wait a week, I'll send you $40 when I get paid next Thursday to ship it to me! you can trust me but even if I didn't buy it off you, these are going to go up in price real fast!

Re: Pokémon GO Players Are Boycotting The Game After Niantic Removes COVID Changes

McGruber

My thoughts: get over it. I noticed the differences, and I can't spin my local Pokestop from my bed anymore either. Boo hoo! Just get up and go outside. It's good for you. That is the whole point of the game afterall. Boycotting to me seems silly, but so do most things these days ¯(ツ)/¯. There are vaccines and masks available for people who are that concerned about getting covid while outside, and if not I suggest playing literally any other videogame in the comfort of your home.

Re: Video: The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem Gets A Spooky New Gameplay Trailer

McGruber

Looks like a fun multiplayer minigame collection. If it was another license I might not think it looks fun, but the Adams Family is different from the usual bright colorful kids show games usually in this genre. PS: The Adams Family movie from 2019 was decently well received, and while not a huge hit, was a moderate success. It made over $200m on a $24m budget. Hence why this game exists.

Re: Digimon Survive Has Been Delayed Yet Again, This Time To 2022

McGruber

One of my most anticipated games. The Digimon anime is a treasure (most of the seasons) that I highly recommend. It's story is nothing like Pokemon. Sadly the games have been kind of hit or miss, but most of them are pretty decent to good. I just bought Digimon Story for Switch and I'm looking forward to playing that while I wait for more on this one.

Re: Friday the 13th: The Game - Ultimate Slasher Edition

McGruber

I am loving this game. It's one of my favorite Switch games and I've put over 70 hours into the online alone. It's scary, funny, and fun as hell. You can usually get a full 8 person online match going after a 3-5 minute wait. If anyone from NintendoLife wants to play with me, hit me up.

Re: Nintendo Removing Credit Card Support From 3DS And Wii U eShop In Japan

McGruber

@Leej07 Not with a credit/debit card, which is how I'm sure 90% of gamers purchase games on virtual storefronts. Also if they are doing this, why would one not assume they might soon close off the ability to purchase games for 3DS overall? You don't have to answer the questions, I just don't get why you are basically apologizing for Nintendo here.

Re: The Smurfs - Mission Vileaf Is A Cutesy 3D Platformer Heading to Switch

McGruber

This is a must buy for me. I like cute 3D platformers with shiny graphics. I also loved the Smurfs as a kid. Were all of the Smurfs games for DS/Wii minigame collections, or were some of those 3D platformers as well? I'm curious now. It's a shame those live action movies were terrible because the CGI one they made after was also very nice looking.

Re: EA Is Bringing Another Legacy Edition Of FIFA To Nintendo Switch

McGruber

Meh this doesn't bother me. Switch is probably the least best selling version, and it's generations behind the other systems where this game is primarily played on. Building a new version of this game every year for Switch doesn't sound very economical to me if I were EA. If I was a soccer fan I'd buy this if it has online play. My issue with EA is that they have a lot of games from the Wii /PS3/360 era that they could port to Switch and they have only given us Plants vs Zombies and a few other bones.

Re: Streaming Service Crackle To Premiere Five-Part Documentary Series About Nintendo's History Next Month

McGruber

I am very excited for this. More than most games currently on the way for Switch lol It should be noted Crackle is Sony's free streaming platform, and it's relatively low key, so seems kind of big for them. Sean Astin's work in recent years is spotty, but the fact that he was able to get Reggie, etc is pretty impressive. I'll be tuning into Crackle which is not something I say often unless I want to watch one of the Resident Evil films.

Re: Nintendo Appears To Be Pulling DSiWare Games From The 3DS eShop

McGruber

This sucks. I would have at least grabbed Shantae if I had known. This aspect of Nintendo is really frustrating to me. No doubt there would be a sales boost to anything going away forever, but I believe Nintendo has decided the sales boost isn't worth highlighting the fact that digital games are not forever on their platforms...
