I'm sorry but this killed the hype for this game for me. Even if badly done I was going to pickup an open world Pokemon game day 1. Now I'm going to wait for reviews and see...
I had this and was in love with it. I remember going on websites in my local cafe after school and feeling so cool. If I wasn't broke I'd buy this today for collection and nostalgia purposes. If anyone wants to buy it and wait a week, I'll send you $40 when I get paid next Thursday to ship it to me! you can trust me but even if I didn't buy it off you, these are going to go up in price real fast!
As a kid I liked the anime but never played any of the games. I remember seeing them in Blockbuster but I didn't have a Playstation and just didn't feel like renting the GBC games.
I'll do what I've been doing for years now to make the game actually challenging. I'll put my starter in a box and instead use one of the wild pokemon in the games opening as my starter.
I am sooo looking forward to finally playing this. This is like my childhood dream game. As a 12 year old I would have spent hours and hours a day playing this
Is there a website or Twitter account I can follow to find the most recent US video game sales data? I'm REALLY surprised by Monster Hunter Stories 2. And please no one say VGChartz.com
My thoughts: get over it. I noticed the differences, and I can't spin my local Pokestop from my bed anymore either. Boo hoo! Just get up and go outside. It's good for you. That is the whole point of the game afterall. Boycotting to me seems silly, but so do most things these days ¯(ツ)/¯. There are vaccines and masks available for people who are that concerned about getting covid while outside, and if not I suggest playing literally any other videogame in the comfort of your home.
Looks like a fun multiplayer minigame collection. If it was another license I might not think it looks fun, but the Adams Family is different from the usual bright colorful kids show games usually in this genre. PS: The Adams Family movie from 2019 was decently well received, and while not a huge hit, was a moderate success. It made over $200m on a $24m budget. Hence why this game exists.
One of my most anticipated games. The Digimon anime is a treasure (most of the seasons) that I highly recommend. It's story is nothing like Pokemon. Sadly the games have been kind of hit or miss, but most of them are pretty decent to good. I just bought Digimon Story for Switch and I'm looking forward to playing that while I wait for more on this one.
Eh without a physical version I have almost no interest in this. I don't really spend more than $20 on digital only games. Are there any physical versions of this game playable in NA?
I am loving this game. It's one of my favorite Switch games and I've put over 70 hours into the online alone. It's scary, funny, and fun as hell. You can usually get a full 8 person online match going after a 3-5 minute wait. If anyone from NintendoLife wants to play with me, hit me up.

@Leej07 Not with a credit/debit card, which is how I'm sure 90% of gamers purchase games on virtual storefronts. Also if they are doing this, why would one not assume they might soon close off the ability to purchase games for 3DS overall? You don't have to answer the questions, I just don't get why you are basically apologizing for Nintendo here.
@westman98 Not allowing gamers to purchase new games is essentially shutting down the store. Were you also in the comments arguing that the Wii shop wasn't getting shut down when they did the same thing? What's your point? lol
Have they learned nothing from Sony?? I mean at least in Sony's case, a lot of those games on PS Vita were available elsewhere, but so many 3DS games only exist on that platform. It just seems very premature to stop selling those games alltogether, from both a business standpoint and a consumer friendly one.
This is a must buy for me. I like cute 3D platformers with shiny graphics. I also loved the Smurfs as a kid. Were all of the Smurfs games for DS/Wii minigame collections, or were some of those 3D platformers as well? I'm curious now. It's a shame those live action movies were terrible because the CGI one they made after was also very nice looking.
Meh this doesn't bother me. Switch is probably the least best selling version, and it's generations behind the other systems where this game is primarily played on. Building a new version of this game every year for Switch doesn't sound very economical to me if I were EA. If I was a soccer fan I'd buy this if it has online play. My issue with EA is that they have a lot of games from the Wii /PS3/360 era that they could port to Switch and they have only given us Plants vs Zombies and a few other bones.
So the real question is, does it run games the same when it's undocked? A lot of games run horribly undocked on the OG switch, which is especially frustrating when playing online games.
It looks really nice. I'm glad Nintendo isn't doing a Pro model, where some games would be exclusive ala New 3DS. Still, I'd prob find news of Netflix for Switch more exciting.
Really want this on Switch, as well as HBO Max. I love using my Switch for Youtube/Hulu while I'm at my desk. My Lite sits perfectly in the plastic Wii U stand (which is the best phone stand I've ever had too).
I will play it eventually when Target or Gamestop has a sale for $40. In the meantime I am looking for a copy of the 3DS Mario Golf. If anyone wants to trade for it, I have a copy of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 I will trade
While I'd rather they do something more original and innovative, I loved the first game and it's probably one of my fave Switch games, so this is great news.
I hope it comes to Switch, even if it has performance problems. As long as it's playable IDC.It has performance issues on my new phone too, but it's still fun. I want to play this game with buttons thoigh.
I am very excited for this. More than most games currently on the way for Switch lol It should be noted Crackle is Sony's free streaming platform, and it's relatively low key, so seems kind of big for them. Sean Astin's work in recent years is spotty, but the fact that he was able to get Reggie, etc is pretty impressive. I'll be tuning into Crackle which is not something I say often unless I want to watch one of the Resident Evil films.
I'm not going to buy it new, but honestly I wanna play it. I'm always intrigued to see how much effort was put into these licensed cash grab games. This one looks somewhat quality. Open world? Count me in lol
This is kind of a must buy for me. I love PvZ on phones, and I never played these third person shooter versions. I do wish this was still a tower defense type game, but I like shooters as well.
This sucks. I would have at least grabbed Shantae if I had known. This aspect of Nintendo is really frustrating to me. No doubt there would be a sales boost to anything going away forever, but I believe Nintendo has decided the sales boost isn't worth highlighting the fact that digital games are not forever on their platforms...

Re: Random: Did You Know The Switch OLED Model Includes A "Softer" HDMI Cable?
This is actually very welcome. I hate when HDMI cables are so thick you can't properly place your systems (especially my Playstation mini).

Very cool and a good idea on SEGAs part. Take a play from Nintendo's book. Love to see SEGA get some wins lately.
