@Rhaoulos @1UP-HUSKY I assume retailers paid Nintendo for the rights to have the demo in their stores before it comes to the eShop, in an attempt to entice people to actually go to a physical store in 2025.
@DarkTron not playing a game because they don't agree with its content or find said content upsetting is perfectly rational and perfectly valid. Dogpiling someone for making that decision - for themselves; not you, or anyone else - is the only irrational behaviour I can see.
My views - both on the game and religion - don't align with those of @SillyG, but I can show them enough respect to not belittle, berate and humiliate them for holding such beliefs, especially as they've not once tried to force those views upon others.
I find the Switch's gyro aiming slightly less responsive than the Wii's motion controls, and the need to constantly press the R button to recenter the pointer is a little annoying.
This might be one for me to get. I never played Blood, but I do have a soft spot for games made in Build Engine, having spent a lot of time tinkering with it in my youth.
@rjejr Silksong being only $20 has really screwed a lot of developers over. Team Cherry knew that the game would be a massive runaway success, so charging only $20 was feasible, even though it's a large game and took 7-8 years to make. But it's caused many consumers to question why other games offer less content for more money, when the reality is that 99% of indie devs don't have the luxury of the pull and previous success that Team Cherry had.
@krogp and there are ways to raise awareness without spamming every comment section with complaints or statements about GKC's on articles that aren't even remotely relevant to the topic you're complaining about. And let's be real. Anyone commenting on this site knows about GKC's. You're not raising awareness; you're just shouting in an echochamber.
Email Nintendo. Write to Nintendo. Phone Nintendo. Spam Nintendo's social media. Absolutely complain about GKC because it is an important issue. But complain to the relevant people through the relevant channels.
@Slideaway1983 it's so frustrating to know for a fact that the same people complaining about GKC's on NL or other comment sections are not also complaining to the relevant people through the relevant channels. Use your loaf, people.
@RupeeClock see, I agree with you that from a game preservation or customer satisfaction viewpoint, complaining about Game Key Cards is important, but on a comment section on a website completely unaffiliated with Nintendo, such comments - especially when repeatedly posted on every article on the site - are irrelevant and unnecessary. Anyone harping on about Game Key Cards in a Nintendo Life comment section is literally accomplishing nothing.
@Thomystic oh, believe me, I'm very rarely about 100%-ing games. But Wonder is so good and I enjoyed it so much that - even though that last stage was difficult and took me a fair bit of time to nail down - I actually wanted to do it. That scenario occurs only very occasionally for me. I finished Final Fantasy VII Rebirth yesterday, having not done a lot of the side content because so much of it is just plain bad.
As you can see from the trailer above, this one's is all about living your dream life on a little island full of terrifying Mii-styled characters.
They're not just terrifying to look at. Those voices were the stuff of absolute nightmares. They sound like text-to-speech from 10 years ago, but murderous.
@zander_dale same here, to be honest. Donkey Kong Bananza is a cracking game but if the Emerald Rush mode is the DLC's sole mode/content, I don't know if I can justify £17.
@Azileron That last marathon stage took me a good chunk of time to do 🤣 But I'd done and collected literally everything else in the game so I had to do it.
@Azileron Yeah, obviously I'd be here for more content, but I'm not hankering for it. I had fun with Wonder when I played it. I even 100%-ed it, which I rarely do with games; I liked it that much. But I didn't feel like it wasn't enough, if you get what I mean?
I'm not entirely sold on this. Woolly World and Crafted World are definitely good games, but something about Mysterious Book isn't doing it for me. I'll eagerly await more footage and information though, because I'd like to have my mind changed on this one.
As much as I love Super Mario Bros. Wonder - and I bloody do love Super Mario Bros. Wonder - I'm really not interested in a bunch of multiplayer add-on fluff. Though, if more information comes out and it turns out that more is being added to the main campaign, then obviously I'll be all over it.
I'll give the second Mario film a go when it comes to streaming services, but I didn't think much of the first one. I personally felt that the Sonic films were better.
Most of the games looked cool and exactly what I expected; New Acclaim™ is obviously looking to enter the same space as companies like Devolver, Annapurna and Curve. The idea that this new company was going to burst out of the gate with things like Turok, WWE, NBA Jam, etc, was completely and utterly unfeasible.
@SurprisedRobinChu obviously the two are directly comparable, but I have to question whether the Digimon anime, or games, or the franchise as a whole has ever really been what Nintendo might have considered a threat to its dominance in that particular space.
I'm not saying it's not been successful for those involved - it's been around for nearly 30 years, after all - but think about the games, for example. What are they selling? What will Time Stranger's numbers be like when it comes out next month? Now think about Palworld, a game that so many people were talking about prior to release, releasing in a time when games are far more mainstream and discussed than they were 30 years ago, and at one point had 2,101,867 concurrent players on Steam alone. Those are numbers that I guarantee no Digimon game has ever even come close to matching. That had to give Nintendo and Pokémon Company the willies.
@GrailUK you are becoming increasingly facetious and antagonistic, so somebody else can field your stupid questions and flippant disregard for everything that's repeatedly being explained to you.
@GrailUK the reason is: it's ****ing ridiculous and petty.
Even if there weren't games prior to Pokémon containing the mechanics that Nintendo/Pokémon Company has just patented, do we really not see an issue with Nintendo waiting 29 years to patent them? If they really gave a damn, they'd have either filed the patent prior to the game's release, or filed the patent as soon as it looked like Pokémon was going to be really big. It is, as I said in another comment, purely a reaction to Palworld looking like it was going to be the first similar game to come along and eat Pokémon's lunch.
Get ready for Super Mario 3D All-Stars 2, available to purchase soon but only in select countries, only to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass subscribers who are between 5'4" and 6'1" and only during the eight minutes that all planets in the solar system are aligned. Also it's a Game Key Card.

Not looking good for there being a new Animal Crossing anytime soon then.

Re: Surprise! Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Arrives Next Year
Why is this not titled Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Superfluous Title-Lengthening Words, Nintendo?
Re: The Binding Of Isaac Is Heading To Switch 2 With A Full Physical Release
Don't tempt me. I've got The Binding of Isaac on four different platforms already and I'm most certainly not above adding a fifth.
@Elektrogeist1287 jumping down somebody's throat just because they don't share the same beliefs as you doesn't make you a good person either.
Re: Nintendo Direct For Kirby Air Riders Announced For Thursday, 23rd October
They're pushing this game more than Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza combined.
Re: Donkey Kong Bananza's First DLC In-Game Event Kicks Off Next Week
@USWITCH64 their handling of Mario Kart World post-launch support and content has been beyond tone deaf.

Year of Mighty, confirmed.
Re: Talking Point: How Do You Play NES Games These Days?
I play retro games via the method that requires me to say that I allegedly play retro games.
Re: 50 Best NES Games Of All Time
I'm going to have a proper look at this list later and see how it compares to Jeff Gerstmann's Ranking the NES list (so far). Should be interesting.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
I plan to play it at some point. I gotta get me a Mega Starmie. Anyone seen that thing? It's absolutely wild 🤣
Re: Plants Vs. Zombies: Replanted Supports Local Co-Op And PvP Via GameShare
I hate that black border it puts on the screen when using GameShare. It's unnecessary, distracting and ugly.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's SNES Library With Three More Titles
Just take the bucket off your head, you absolute melt.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Super Mario Galaxy + Galaxy 2?
@ShadLink that's some Steiner maths, right there! But I like it.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Super Mario Galaxy + Galaxy 2?
I find the Switch's gyro aiming slightly less responsive than the Wii's motion controls, and the need to constantly press the R button to recenter the pointer is a little annoying.
They're still impeccable games though, so 9/10.
Re: Poll: So, Did You Get Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 For Switch?
Ugh. Fine. I got them. Yes, I have more money than sense. Are you happy?!
Re: Review: Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac (Switch 2) - Short, Sweet, Prettified, And Not For Everyone

@DiegoSynth Monolith doesn't still exist. It was shut down by WB Games earlier this year.

@nothankyou of course not. NL found a dead horse in 2017 and must keep flogging it.

Re: Dynasty Warriors: Origins Will Run At A "Fixed" 30fps On Switch 2
30fps isn't ideal, true. However, anyone who genuinely cares about good framerates shouldn't be playing third-party ports on a sub-£400 handheld.
Re: Borderlands 4 Has Been Delayed For Switch 2, Digital Pre-Orders Cancelled
Switch 2 is obviously not premium enough for such an optimal game.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (20th September)
More Vampire Survivors, and I started Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion last night.

A game including more accessibility and/or difficulty options is only a good thing. Only a complete idiot would bemoan the inclusion of such things.

@zander_dale £16.99 in the UK. I'm assuming $19.99 in the US.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 Bundle Confirmed For Switch, Launching October
@fenlix I just checked on the UK eShop. Separately, each game costs £33.99. The bundle is £58.99.
Which is ludicrous but I'll pay it because I'm an idiot.
