I think Im I’m getting close to finishing Yoshi. I’m in the scary world now before the last gem- those clowns!!! 😬 Is there more after that? If not I’m not upset since I’ve gotten over 30 hours into Yoshi thus far getting all the flowers up to this point. After Yoshi I’ll be starting Iconoclasts. Enjoy your weekend everyone!
Too gory for me. I’ll stick to SSBU if I want to play a fighting game. It did look nice and ran well on Switch. I had a coup of instances where the characters kind of blurred while performing combos but overall very good.
Also surprised to see a 6/10 after that review since there doesn’t seem to be anything “wrong “ with the game. I’m glad to hear it’s not just about fighting since I’ve had my eye on this- now I’m even more interested.
Going to continue my Yoshi adventure. I thought it was going to be super easy and short but that’s not turning out quite true. I find myself having a hard time finding one red coin or souvenirs in some of the levels. Fantastic game so far. I also have to help out my fellow Tortoise comrades in Splatfest. Will be a good gaming weekend.
This is a wait and see for me. I didn’t particularly care for Diablo 3 and this seems along the same lines but with Marvel characters- maybe I just don’t care for creepy? Looks really cool but I want to see how gameplay is more.
Could be the start of something cool- partnering with Indie devs. Can’t say I’m overwhelmed by this trailer since there’s a lot of other quality games I have to play and look forward too.
Since I’ve finally finished HK I’ve been playing Yoshi. Game is more challenging than I anticipated- some of those red coins are tough. Every time I play it I’m astounded by how ... well cute it is and how much thought and love went into each level.
I was going to pick this up before the sale ended but if the graphics are hurting so much in handheld mode I’ll wait until there’s a patch or something. Shame- this game looks awesome but I play in handheld all the time.
@thesilverbrick Thanks! I was wondering if it would be along the lines of Kirby- relatively short and easy so it sounds like that’s kind of what I’ll be getting into. Sounds perfect for after Hollow Knight which is turning into a behemoth.
I’m still in Hallownest... Lol I’ve gotten all the grubs and have about 600 essence left. I’m currently at The White Defender which is proving difficult 😓. Then I’m getting some grimmkins(?) and finally the boss. I don’t think I’ll be completing The Trial of Fools - the last one was hard enough! 😅 Maybe I can finish this this weekend and then start Yoshi! ( I know I’m sounding like I’m going on repeat- I said this last weekend lol)
@thesilverbrick since you’re almost done with Yoshi how much time have you put into it and your thoughts? I have yet to start it but am curious as to what I’m getting into.
@ILA01 I can’t say I have any problems with NSO either really. I don’t care about NES games but I do like cloud saves, playing Splatoon online, and Tetris 99. At $20/ year? It’s not so bad IMO..
I think if they’re going to hit game companies for this issue then they should be hitting other companies too cough Amazon Prime. The big difference is that Amazon Prime jacked up their subscription price dramatically whereas Sony and Microsoft have not. It’s too early to see if Nintendo will be increasing their subscription price and will likely depend on the strides they make to the services they are providing.
After all the comments about how bad the screenshots look I had to go back and look st them. I don’t think they look bad so much in that the color combinations in the second screenshot are unfortunate. I think if they do get this game going they need to make some different style choices.
RiME was not unplayable. It was actually a great game with some minor instances of hiccups that didn’t detract from the overall experience of the game.
When I first saw the video of this Hob I got a huge RiME impression and for that I will eventually try this game out. Like others I’d never heard of this game before since I’ve mainly owned Nintendo consoles so a better review would have been nice.
After reading this I’m still left wondering what this game is really like.
I’ve been really excited for this game since I’ve heard about it on the Direct. 20 gigs is a bit much but I suppose it justifies a new memory card lol. I’m more surprised that it’s releasing so soon! I didn’t think we’d see this before summer. I’ll be picking this up after I finish Yoshi.
@penamiguel92 Youngblood wasn’t listed for Switch until they announced it the other day even though we knew it was coming. Once they have a release date it will be there.
@shoeses I wouldn’t say Switch is dead until summer since there will be some decent 3rd party stuff releasing- MK 11, Assasin’s Creed, Darksiders, Final Fantasy, plus more. Usually Nintendo releases a game in May so maybe there’s a surprise? I would agree summer- end of year is going to be pretty heavy.
This is a decent list and a good reminder as to how solid the Switch library really is. Some of these games I’ve disliked, some I’ve thoroughly enjoyed - but they all add something to the table. I’m most excited to see that this list includes a very good mix of Nintendo IP and other developers.
Well.. I was hoping to get started on Yoshi but I don’t want to leave HK without finishing it so I’m going to put some more work into it. I just got the Grimm Troupe to town and most of my map looks pretty explored so I think I’m in the last bits of the game story wise at least. So I’ll get to Yoshisaur soonish!
Torchlight 2 looks cool too- had to find a video for it. It will be a nice addition to Switch and awesome that it’s launching with other console versions.
So this is why we haven’t been hearing much about them- they’ve been busy. Trailer looks awesome this will be a purchase eventually. Once I finish Yoshi and HK... I should probably take care of more backlog 😬
@JK_720 I think Apex on Switch is just a matter of time. Seeing as Fortnite has been one of the top games on Switch since it’s release it would be crazy not to take advantage.
@CR0J0 I immensely enjoyed Wolf 2 on Switch. I’ve never played any of the series before or had any clue what I was really getting into but it was fantastic. Ran very well on Switch, gameplay was good, story was an interesting take. Easily one of my favorite game experiences on switch.
I understand that playing some of the games on Switch may be different from other versions but I think accurate screenshots and videos should be required on eshop- that’s a form of quality control. Not providing accurate representation of the games is just being lazy. If it’s not where they’d like the game to be they should just own it and work on performance patches.
I wouldn’t be opposed to buying another Switch in a dock less bundle for a moderate price adjustment. Otherwise I think a version that doesn’t have removable Joy-Con is against Nintendo’s view for Switch.
I’ve been interested this for awhile but haven’t picked it up because I don’t have a co-op buddy. Nice to know I can still play it through on my own. I may pick this up sometime in the future since it looks like fun.
@MushHill_Act1-1 I saw that game on the sale tab and almost bought Donut Country but was unsure what it would really be like. The video looked cool though so I may just take a chance.
@rdm22 I had so much fun with Weat of Loathing. I played as the snake charmer the first time around and fully intend to revisit and try a different class/ friend combo.
I like how Yoshi is even an option seeing as how the majority of us have to wait until next weekend.. 😅 That said I’ve still got work to do in HK- I’ve gotten to the Hive Knight now! Commence dying... When I’m not playing HK I may work on some Fortnite challenges.
I was just thinking of some great platformers I’ve played on Switch but realized they’re 2D. Hmm... I agree with others that are saying that this list brings to attention that there aren’t many good ones.

I’d buy them. Hopefully there’s something to this and it actually happens.

Re: Review: Cuphead - The Xbox Masterpiece Becomes An Essential Purchase On Switch
I’ll be picking this up maybe after I finish Yoshi. After HK I’m sure this can’t be worse so I’m not too worried about the difficulty.

Re: Wolfenstein: Youngblood Might Come With A Download Code Instead Of A Game Card
When you look on Amazon to preorder it says there is no cartridge included in both standard and deluxe editions.
Re: Wolfenstein: Youngblood Might Come With A Download Code Instead Of A Game Card
If this is only a download that will be disappointing- I will still get this game but now it will for a decent memory card sale.
