The video was genuinely funny and well made, but now I find myself wanting to play Ocarina of Time on Switch (even just a straight N64 emulation would be fine). It’s kind of funny how you can play FFVII on Switch but not Ocarina of Time.

Even though I knew it would be an April Fools Day prank, there are quite a few of those Zelda titles I wouldn't mind playing on the Switch. DS and 3DS ports probably wouldn't be too hard to convert. Still, it was nice to see them roll out something.

there is no way everything listed was a joke would put money on Nintendo being involved in this joke, but which ones are real is hard to call.

Dungeons & Brazzers on Switch is ok, but it’s nothing compared to the table top version. I have an entire basement set up as a Dungeons & Brazzers game room.

Sometimes the real thing just beats the digital version.

April fools day used to be pranks had to end by 12pm. This doesn’t work in an Internet age where 365 days a year people are trying to fool us.

Personally I don’t mind a silly send up as long as there’s no malice behind it. IGN are having a bit of fun without trying too hard to deceive people. Good job.

I wish all Zelda remake/rerelease announcements from now on were just jokes.

@Vicki_S Nintendo's probably saving OoT and MM as NSO exclusives years down the line. I think we'll see each new year of NSO have a new console (i.e. year 1 = NES only, year 2 = SNES only, etc.)

Although fake, this is convincingly high-quality! The editing, graphics, transitions, and overall presentation elements were nearly flawless.

It’s pretty ironic that Square and Final Fantasy came back when Nintendo went back to using cartridges when the cartridge format is why they went to PlayStation in the first place. Then, all of a sudden, we get a barrage of Square Enix (except Kingdom Hearts 😕) and Final Fantasy.

I mean, the AO-movie industry sometimes gives us stuff that - "fun times" aside - stays more true to its source material than any other adaptation. For example, there's an actress who chose her stage name after her favourite fictional heroine: April O'Neil. She's been in the, er, business since 2008, as the very NSFW "mammary" wiki's own article on her attests; fast forward six years and guess who's been chosen to play the actual character in the TMNT parody. And, against all odds, she resembles the 1987 incarnation of her way more than Megan Fox does. Check out the left side of this image for a direct comparison:

Because Rise has the same problem Teen Titans Go has.
As the Nostalgia Critic put it best - it's about not the comedic retool per se, it's just that any line could be said by either team member without it making a key difference. Why? Because the plot's demands require the joke to be delivered no matter what.
Keep in mind that The Big Bang Theory, itself a reviled comedic show, once turned a heartwarming moment into a laugh riot with one single line:
"Oh my God, Howard... it's the most beautiful thing I ever heard...! And it came out of you!"
And that, right there, is how important the context can be to a joke. Now let's get back to Teen Titans Go: one of the Titans says something about "today it's [x] day!", complete with full-screen text spelling it out. Who said the line? Who cares, as long as there's one joke we can drag throughout the entire episode? Sure: Robin's the control freak (no relation to the actual character), Raven's the lonely freak, Cyborg's the party animal, Beast Boy's the vegan and Starfire's the clueless, all-loving Pollyanna, but that's as far as their characterization goes.
And, judging by what I've heard, that's the exact same problem many people seem to have with Rise of TMNT.

As far as I'm concerned, though, I'm focusing my animated needs on DuckTales 2017, which never seems to drop the ball in any occasion so far.

They keep saying that EVERYTHING is coming, but they didn't list ANY of the things we keep telling them we want. Why does Nintendo hate money? Nintendo needs to start listening to their fans, or they're going to end up like Sega.

@AlexSora89 "Heard" being the key term in this statement. Because from what I've seen, it's a lot more than just a comedic joke every other line. There's a backstory to their origin, Shredder is beginning to show signs of showing up, and The personalities are fun to see. Leo no longer being a stick in the mud is nice to watch, Raph not being such an angst riddled S.O.B is refreshing, Donnie is now cool as much as he is smart, and Mikey doesn't annoy the hell out of me anymore. Yes, they're not as serious, but they're young and Will get their act together once The Shredder curb stomps them in their inevitable battle. Plus, I was never into it for the drama and backstory, because for me, it's just Turtles who are mutated and know Ninjitsu, not something as actually serious like Wolverine or Fist of the North star. This one's fun and at least stays true to the team being heroes like the 80's version. Why not enjoy it?

Also, I take what Doug said with a very little grain of salt since its just his criticism like mine. I guess it just depends on preference.

@AlexSora89 Instead of just jumping into the conflict of establishing him as the main villain, this version is building up the anticipation for this Shredder like they did with the Avatar's Firelord Ozai. Seriously dude, I don't know what else to tell you other than to keep an open mind since this is a new beginning, or keep watching Ducktales.

I mean, c'mon, bruh. Their still young inexperienced kids. They have time to develop. Didn't you use to not take things seriously at 13? You can't expect the whole thing to develop into some epic ninja drama overnight. That's what Naruto and Samurai Jack are for.

After all, the Playboy lifestyle being kind of messed up was brought to attention when, in the actually-good-later-seasons Simpsons episode All's Fair In Oven War, Bart found a... eh, Playdude issue that had everything but the pictures, and ended up picking up a lifestyle that was not intended for a ten-year-old. Suffice to say, it led him straight into a dad-son talk about intimate fun times.

Well, it helps that - contrary to Teen Titans GO and DuckTales 2017, two reboots that are each other's antithesis - TMNT already has had many interpretations throughout the years, so they could take more risks.
