This game looks fun and despite the review I’ll pick it up once I get caught up with my E3 sale purchases.

This game is so great! Some of the scenes are challenging and require several play throughs to get it just right. Definitely practice makes perfect with how to approach enemies.

Hopefully this doesn’t end up being like the Zelda game that was announced with the Wii U but never made it until the end.

@BigE Lol I found myself HAVING to take breaks from HK so I wouldn’t break my Switch. I had to play something that wasn’t going to be super frustrating like a palette cleanser between sessions.

I forgot about the Splatfest! I’ll be playing team Narwhal of course- a sea unicorn seams to be the ultimate unicorn. I’ll also be playing Katana Zero and maybe Super Chariot. I liked the demo so I picked up SC while it was on sale. Happy gaming everyone!

@BigE HAha! I haven’t tried out Celeste yet- just picked it up on sale but HK? Ooh that one can be tough. I think it may have been the most angry/ annoyed at a game I’ve been in a while.

How would one compare this to Breath of the Wild? I’ve never played DQ before. Also is this terribly “grind-y”?

Going to pick up Celeste and Cuphead finally... was thinking about Wargroove but we’ll see.

I’m looking forward to this game! I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have a release date than 2019 while Animal crossing got an exact date. This and Link’s Awakening (never played original) are on my list.

I saw many reviews saying playing on pS4 was not without hiccups so I’d be interested to see how this Switch version plays when it’s released. It looks like it’d be a cool game to play.

Dang... I was looking forward to this but then I actually played CotN and it was just a confusing and underwhelming experience for me. Maybe I’ll revisit it and learn to love it but I definitely won’t be picking this up until then.

I for one am really hoping this comes to Switch. Such a cool idea for a game that has me wondering why we haven’t had a roller derby game yet.

The Xbox direct made a big deal about playing the game you want WHEREVER you are... I may be extremely hopeful but I’m hoping to see Xbox gamepass come to Switch.

Also if we have to give Microsoft something to get something back can’t we give them NIntendo Switch Online? All the NES games they didn’t want..

Day one. Now for the hard part- buy on eshop for more gold coins or buy a box just to have. Hmm.. heads up to those in US- Amazon has the deluxe version on sale for $32 also I think the Xbox version may be cheaper than list price at this point too.

This is a really cool branch out from the original MineCraft. Hopefully there’s a demo when it gets closer to release.

I like the look of this. This will be on my radar next year.

They’re making it sound like it’s not the original LEGO Star Wars collection game (+ new) from a few years back but rather all new content. Either way I’m interested since I never got to playing it.

I just started Katana Zero since I couldn’t help but pick it up on sale. Pretty good game so far. Some of the scenes are a little challenging but it’s interesting.

@wazlon That was my big complaint about Yoshi as well. Playing each level around 5 times for all the collectibles got to be a bit much.

@InAnotherCastle I have yet to finish Piczle Lines DX and I’ve got over 100 hours into it so far. I still have a few larger puzzles to do and they’ve proven tricky. How was Piczle Colors? I just picked it up since it was on sale.

@dugan I also took the chance on Rime and was really glad I did. I enjoyed it immensely. I hope you do too!

I thought these were the weakest legendary designs yet.

Environment issues? I’m in. Hopefully it arrives before I’m bombarded with all the 1st party games that will release this year that I’ve been itching for.

@SterlingEyes I’ve only played AC3 for a few hours so far but it seems to be holding up okay imo. I would compare the graphics to what I experienced from Skyrim- aka you can tell it’s a last gen game. I think it looks a little better in handheld vs docked but haven’t experienced any real issues so far. Mostly I find the story is interesting me. I’ve ever really played AC games before so I have nothing to compare it to though lol.

I’ve been playing Assassin’s Creed on Switch. I’ve tried the first one back on PS3 but never really gotten into it. I’m only a little while in but I’m liking it so far.

Will be picking up MM2 and Wolfenstein. I’m curious about bloodstained and Marvel but I’ll have to wait and see on those. Can’t wait to see if there’s any surprises coming with E3.

@Abeedo No problem. I don’t buy as many games as I used to either- just not enough time to play everything and I’d rather not shell out the money for something I’m not going to like. If you end up playing this let me know how you liked it!

@Abeedo I would say yes. Wandersong is definitely an indie gem- I would put it up there with Hollow Knight, Golf Story, Undertale, lconoclasts, Stardew Valley, etc. It’s a shame that it’s not raved about/ promoted as much as some others because it deserves it. I would say that I got more enjoyment playing this than other bigger production games even ( like Kirby Star Allies for instance).

@Abeedo I would say a fairly strong 8/10. I still think rather highly of this game despite finishing it up months ago and I may play it again to experience the story again.

I booted up Snake Pass last night after it sat in my backlog almost since it’s release... The mechanics are interesting to say the least so hopefully I can get through it this weekend. Other than that I don’t anticipate a bunch of gaming since my wife is off this weekend and we’re packing it full of fun things- water park, the taste of Cincy, bbq and fun with the family. While I can’t stand for some of these games to be on the list over others I am very happy to see that it is a very eclectic mix.

Most of these are offered in NA eshop at these prices. I picked up Guacamelee and Steamworld Heist myself but there’s more I have my eye on.. too many really. I can’t recommend Wandersong enough if anyone hasn’t gotten to play it.

Umm.. Splatfest?! Still chipping away at backlog just finished Bastion which was okay. Tried a bit of Crypt of the Necrodancer but it’s just odd and I don’t know what the point is/ what I’m supposed to do. Started playing Valiant Hearts and am finding the story to be pretty engaging.

I was hoping October so I can have some time with the other upcoming releases personally... I suppose we’ll find out soon!

@JaxonH I didn’t realize you could get Target discount on gift cards so that’s neat. I don’t know if many have Costco memberships but I think you can pick up a $50 eshop card for $44 or $45 which would eek out a little more savings $90 for 2 games plus the gold coin incentive. I agree people could definitely make this work in their favors. Plus most first party Nintendo games don’t see significant sales for quite awhile.

Actually I’m surprised there’s no mention of the other deal - Mario Maker + 1 yr of Nintendo Online for $69.99 USD. That will be a big draw for subscriptions. $10 for a year of online service? That’s awesome.

@Bombjak I thought you could share games between the systems if they were yours and had your Nintendo account linked to both? I would look more into that before dropping that kind of money on the same games.

I was super excited about this since there’s a lot of games I plan to buy this year- Luigi, Animal Crossing, Pokémon, “new” Zelda. However when I looked at the eligible titles I was underwhelmed- if they add more eligible games this would be worth it. They state you can save one for an upcoming release but they don’t mention what those may be- that would be a huge selling point imo.

I’ve finished up Yoshi and Iconoclasts so... I don’t know what my next game should be.. lol. I will give Travis Strikes Back a try... I’ve had my eye on Steamworld Heist for a long while now maybe I’ll grab it while it’s on sale.

There’s been so many eshop games released the past month that I want but I can’t keep up😅 Eventually I’ll pick up Hellblade, Cuphead, Katana Zero, Boxboy, and Hob. The new Steamworld game looks nice too but I’m hesitant on it because I’ve never tried a card type game.

@PikaPhantom I love West of Loathing! Such a hilarious and surprising fun game to play. Definitely a good value.

I’ve put the extra levels to rest in Yoshi ( dang they are much harder!) for the time being so I could play Iconoclast. I’m having a blast with it so far and am about halfway through. It reminds me of Owlboy for some reason but the puzzles and platforming are more challenging imo.

Usually I find that there’s something on my list of games I’m interested in buying but it’s looking pretty slow for me until Mario Maker.

I just remembered for those that like physical editions- Guacameele (1&2) is getting one in the end of May. I’ve almost bought enough them digitally a couple times but always held out.

Interesting take on a cooking game. I’ll keep my eyes open for this one when it comes out looks like it could be really cool.
