That's terrible, they're punishing most of the player base for some hypothetical cases, on top of that, it's a single player game - if they cheat the only ones who are missing on the fun are the cheaters! There's no reason to not have cloud saves on this game.
I've never played the collection, so I'll grab it down the road, but I can't justify paying $40 for it now, with so many games coming out. I'll wait for a sale or see if the physical edition makes its way over here.
The game looks nice, and I'm glad for Playtonic. I hope they manage to walk out of Rare's shadow and eventually manage to go back to making 3D platformers, but with their own spice instead of looking to recapture the "Rare magic".
If getting the game out this year meant that devs would pay the cost by crunching, better to have it delayed. No one will be able to make it up to those devs - missing important dates, long work hours, sometimes even getting health issues - while a player can wait some extra time without affecting their lives.
They probably showed it because it was leaked before E3 on reddit. Anyway, I like the twist and don't mind that they showed it, because now you know they're all going to war but no idea how they'll handle killing their old classmates.
And while Edelgard and Claude look amazing after the time skip, time isn't doing any favors for Dimitri. I wonder if he's going down the Takumi route in Conquest.
At long damn last, Nintendo recognizes the Southern Hemisphere exists!
It will still be weird to have snow in winter, though - we don't get snow here, just rain. It will be fantastic, though, to finally have the game show summer in december.
It looks great - I watched it yesterday on the Treehouse and it looks wonderful, and as the article says, full of life. It's definitively looking as a big improvement over Dark Moon!
They lost one billion, but they'll recover it (and gain more) after Animal Crossing launches. Investors are worrying about nothing, the second half of 2019 is stacked.
From what I've read, it seems this guy got the info through breaking NDAs and other less than legal means. Even if not, good luck paying the legal fees to defend yourself from the Nintendo Ninjas - even if the leaker is right (which I doubt) those fees will bankrupt him.
Holy eff, that's amazing. If he has the money and space for it, then I hope he enjoys his collection. Those plushies are so damn cute, I'd really get some for myself if I had the extra space.
I agree with the take. I know people would buy FIFA on Switch if it had the same features as the other consoles, but as it stands, it's a very bad move - you're paying the same for an old game, and that's been since FIFA 18. People like FUT (sadly).
Probably the market isn't there right now - but it isn't there because EA has done absolutely nothing in recent years to cultivate such an audience in the Switch, while banking on casual gamers that will get the market leader console and focusing their cash cow on them.
Unless they actually bother investing something on Switch, the chicken and egg point Gavin makes will continue to be true - and sadly, unless something implodes badly at EA they simply won't try another approach.
@Anti-Matter
We don’t know the new Xbox’s name, for now we just know it’s codename, which is Scarlett. They’ll probably announce the official name at something like The Game Awards or E3 next year.
I want Mythra as a DLC charactet, barring that, it could be Rex with Pyra & Mythra in the background, a la Pokemon Trainer. Sadly I lost almost all hope after the Mii costume.
@ronb44 Astral Chain will almost 100% be shown at E3 considering its launching on August, they are in full marketing mode. At the same time, I doubt we'll see something bigger than a tease of Bayo 3 (and I honestly think there won't be nothing shown) since they don't want to take the thunder away from Astral Chain.
I haven't played the first one - it's on my backlog -, but it looks good in the trailer. I hope it runs well on Switch, though. At the very least, the game's soundtrack will be godly with both David Wise and Grant Kirkhope composing.
It probably won't happen but it would be great if some of these were released as demos. Pokemon will probably have one down the line, though, since AS/OR had one.
I'll miss all the memes and gifs that appeared with Kimishima.
A bit more serious, though, they always said Kimishima would be a stop gap between Iwata and whoever came next, and he was what the company needed in terms of changing focus and reverting the losses from the Wii U.
That the new President was involved in the marketing part is auspicious, I wish him the best.
This is brilliant, and a great way to get kids interesting in programming. It will be great to see if the kids have an interest and introduce them to the topic, before jumping to other more complex things.
Instead of blaming "violent" video games, simply assume the only place school shootings happen so frequently is the US and think what is the difference between them and the rest of the world.
I dislike games like Call of Duty, but going from dislike to implying that games like that will make you a psychopath is on another scale!

Re: Dotemu "Honored" To Team Up With Square Enix For Remastered Version Of Final Fantasy VIII
I hope this doesn’t have the music bug FF7 had and that FF9 still has.
Re: Nintendo Shares Colourful Graphic Outlining Upcoming Switch Releases
Gah, my wallet is screaming in pain.
FE3H, Link's Awakening, Pkmn Sword, Astral Chain, Spuro, Oninaki, Luigi's Mansion 3 and so many more....
Re: Random: Astral Chain Is Filled With Hidden Toilets And "Lots Of Cats"
The demonstration of the game by the Treehouse sold me totally on it. I can’t wait for it to release, I need more Platinum Games goodness!
Re: Review: Collection of Mana - Expensive, But Ultimately Worth Every Penny
I've never played the collection, so I'll grab it down the road, but I can't justify paying $40 for it now, with so many games coming out. I'll wait for a sale or see if the physical edition makes its way over here.
Re: Have The Post-E3 Blues? The Dates For E3 2020 Have Already Been Confirmed
As an RPG fan and Nintendo fan it was a pretty great E3 for me, although I'm looking forward first to the next direct than next year's E3!
Re: Feature: Playtonic On Switch, Yooka-Laylee And Standing On Its Own Two Feet
The game looks nice, and I'm glad for Playtonic. I hope they manage to walk out of Rare's shadow and eventually manage to go back to making 3D platformers, but with their own spice instead of looking to recapture the "Rare magic".

Re: Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition Gallops Onto Nintendo Switch This September
I've never played a DQ game, so this looks to be a nice way to get into the series. I'll get it down the road.
Re: Grant Kirkhope Explains How He Got To Compose Banjo-Kazooie Music For Smash Bros. Ultimate
I'm really glad they brought Kirkhope on board with at least one remix of Banjo Kazooie for Smash, he's just too good of a composer to be left out!
Re: Random: Bowser Nailed His First Appearance As Nintendo Of America's President
It wasn't bad, but Bowser has a long way to go before reaching Reggie's charisma. Still, it was a nice first appearance as the new President of NoA.
Re: Some History About Saber Interactive, The Developer Porting The Witcher 3 To Nintendo Switch
I can live with those resolutions, but I hope it has a decent framerate - a bad framerate is far more annoying than resolution.
Re: Did Nintendo Just Spoil Fire Emblem: Three Houses' Killer Twist?
They probably showed it because it was leaked before E3 on reddit.
Anyway, I like the twist and don't mind that they showed it, because now you know they're all going to war but no idea how they'll handle killing their old classmates.
And while Edelgard and Claude look amazing after the time skip, time isn't doing any favors for Dimitri. I wonder if he's going down the Takumi route in Conquest.
Re: Hands On: Pokémon Sword And Shield’s Dynamax Mode Has Us Shook
What I like most about Dynamax is that it doesn't seem to have the whole animations Z-moves had. Those really cut off the flow of battles for me.
Re: This Dragon Quest Hori Slime Controller For Switch Is Hella Cute
It doesn't look very comfortable to be honest. Cute but impractical.
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Caters For Players In The Southern Hemisphere, Finally
At long damn last, Nintendo recognizes the Southern Hemisphere exists!
It will still be weird to have snow in winter, though - we don't get snow here, just rain. It will be fantastic, though, to finally have the game show summer in december.
Re: Hands On: Luigi’s Mansion 3 Is Shaping Up To Be The Best In The Series
It looks great - I watched it yesterday on the Treehouse and it looks wonderful, and as the article says, full of life. It's definitively looking as a big improvement over Dark Moon!
I'm very much looking forwards to it.
Re: Nintendo's Market Value Drops By $1 Billion After Animal Crossing Switch Delay

Investors are worrying about nothing, the second half of 2019 is stacked.
Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening's Limited Edition Comes With A Game Boy Steelbook
I don't mind not having the steelbook in America, but I'm glad we get the artbook.
Re: Open-World Action Adventure Gods & Monsters Arrives On Switch Next February
So it is coming to Switch? I may give it a try, it did look interesting.
Re: Nintendo Takes Legal Action On Prolific E3 Leaker Ahead Of Tomorrow's Direct
From what I've read, it seems this guy got the info through breaking NDAs and other less than legal means. Even if not, good luck paying the legal fees to defend yourself from the Nintendo Ninjas - even if the leaker is right (which I doubt) those fees will bankrupt him.
E3 is far better when there are no leaks.
Re: Guide: E3 2019 Press Conference Schedule: Nintendo, Ubisoft And Square Enix
I truly hope some nice surprise from Ubisoft this year for Switch owners. Mario + Rabbids is an amazing game!
As for Square... I don't have much hopes. Maybe we'll get more info on Oninaki and a release date for DQXIS.
Re: Random: Fan Spends Over $1,000 On Every Johto Pokémon Plush, And That's Just The Start
Holy eff, that's amazing. If he has the money and space for it, then I hope he enjoys his collection.
Those plushies are so damn cute, I'd really get some for myself if I had the extra space.

Re: The Nintendo Direct Presentation For E3 2019 Will Be About 40 Minutes
Nice, it will be done a bit before lunch.
Re: Rumour: Shigeru Miyamoto Will Be On-Stage During Microsoft’s E3 Briefing (Spoiler Alert: He Wasn't)
@Anti-Matter
We don’t know the new Xbox’s name, for now we just know it’s codename, which is Scarlett. They’ll probably announce the official name at something like The Game Awards or E3 next year.
Re: Rumour: Shigeru Miyamoto Will Be On-Stage During Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference
So it was a fake.
Re: The Next DLC Fighter For Smash Ultimate Will Be Revealed At Nintendo's E3 Direct
I want Mythra as a DLC charactet, barring that, it could be Rex with Pyra & Mythra in the background, a la Pokemon Trainer.
Sadly I lost almost all hope after the Mii costume.

Re: FIFA 20 On Switch Will Be A Scaled-Back "Legacy Edition"
That's just fine, I haven't bought an EA game in years and I doubt that will change anytime soon.
It may not be much but I can vote with my wallet.
Re: Feature: E3 2019 Nintendo Switch Games Lineup: Pokémon, Mario, Zelda And More
I hope we get a demo on Astral Chain and more info on Daemon X Machina. The demo was a bit rough but the game has potential.
Re: Random: Animal Crossing Fan Inspires Us All By Maintaining GameCube Town For 17 Years
That's true dedication.
Re: There Is "No Plan" To Bring Persona 5 Royal To Other Consoles, Atlus Reiterates
Guess I'm not playing Persona 5 then, because I've no plans to get a PS4.
Re: Yooka-Laylee And The Impossible Lair Is Playtonic's Next Game, And It's Coming To Switch

Re: Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Confirmed For Nintendo Switch
Now this makes me happy. Keep the RPGs coming!
Re: Unravel Two Creative Director Explains Why The Game Isn't On Switch
Basically, EA hasn't approved the resources for a port. So we're stuck with Fifa 19 at the moment.... Why doesn't that surprise me?
Re: GameStop Still Seeing "Very Steady Level Of Demand" For Switch And Its Games
Nice to see the Switch continues to do well. It's a great console, far better than the Wii U.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Speeds Its Way Back Into The UK Charts Top Ten
Well, that's interesting. Seems new people getting the system are getting MK8 DX as their multiplayer game.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
I’m sticking with Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The game is brilliant, I don’t want it to end. I should buy the DLC this week.
Re: Hardware Review: OJO Projector For Nintendo Switch - The Ultimate Accessory?
Considering all the issues the Switch has had with third party products I’ll stick with official stuff from Nintendo. I won’t risk my console.
Re: Super Mario Odyssey Passes The 10 Million Sold Marker
Its great to see the Xenoblade series finally taking off, XC2 is a great game.
But to see that 1-2 Switch sold more than it should be some kind of crime.
Re: I Grew Up With Nintendo And Will Respect Its Traditions, Says New President Shuntaro Furukawa
Re: PlatinumGames Wants The Wonderful 101 On Switch
clap clap
I never got it on the Wii U, but I would certainly love to get it on the Switch. It deserves better than to fade away into obscurity!
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
I'll keep playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I'm 75 hours in and in Chapter 6 by now, and I keep discovering new things.
Re: Bloodstained's English Voice Talent Includes Alucard, Char Aznable And Solid Snake
That's a brilliant cast. Kari Walhgren was great voicing Saber in Fate/Zero!
Re: Video: Check Out The Scope Of Nintendo Labo's Toy-Con Garage Mode
This is brilliant, and a great way to get kids interesting in programming. It will be great to see if the kids have an interest and introduce them to the topic, before jumping to other more complex things.
Re: Random: These Tiny Switch Cases Are Adorable, Easily Lost
Cute, but horribly impractical. That's a great way to lose the cartridge if it slips out of wherever you are keeping those little boxes.
Re: Review: Kirby Star Allies (Switch)
I haven't played the demo, but while it seems a good game, I don't think it is worth $60 right now for me.
I'll wait for a sale.
