Figured Iron Man would be one of them, was guessing the other was going to be either Kamala or Kate Bishop. Phoenix is a decent choice though, no complaints there.

Guessing these are for the new storybook parts, given how mellow they are. All very nice and relaxing, though Good Night and Special Someone might sound a bit too similar to each other.

I think if the next Mario game bares much resemblance to Bowser's Fury it'll be a hard pass for me. It's a fun enough game for what it is, but even for only being like three hours long by the time I finished with it I was getting pretty tired of it. Plus I just in general have come around to disliking most open world games on principle, I really miss actual focused level design.

Kind of a dumb restriction (especially given the multiplayer in these games is so nothing that it might as well not exist) but I doubt I'd have ever used the mouse mode outside of as a momentary curiosity anyway so not super broken up about it.

Fun game though don't really remember anything about its soundtrack.

I bought Silent Hill f a couple of days ago so that's probably going to be it for me for now, though I was tempted by Sonic. Will definitely get Galaxy 2 next week though.

It's Level-5, of course it was delayed. It's significantly more remarkable when they actually release something.

@Filthy Honestly the second game's in such a weird place because it's almost entirely carried by the last case. The second case is pretty decent too, but the first is wildly forgettable and the third while I think it gets too much hate is most likely the weakest of the original trilogy. The first game arguably has the same issue, but at least it's got the bonus case helping to elevate the overall experience (though personally I do like the second game more than the first).

Though personally my choices for the weakest cases in the series are the third ones in Apollo and Investigations 1 and the fourth in Great Ace Attorney 1. That last one's probably my most-hated one personally, but at least it's got a good sequel case. .... Though for that matter the circus case has a sequel in Investigations 2 and it's great.

@MirrorFate2 Not too surprising given they also replaced them in Apollo. Did find it a bit of a jarring shift but it's not that substantive of one and given the circumstances I definitely understand the why of it so no complaints here.

Lack of a new game announcement is disappointing, but at least the series is continuing to get something and it's been very noticeable how barebones the original trilogy collection feels compared to all of the others so I'm glad it's getting this much.

Kind of a shame I replayed the original trilogy (and also the Investigations games, Apollo, and Spirit of Justice; it hadn't been that long on Dual Destinies so skipped it but meaning to do it, the GAA games, and Ghost Trick at some point soonish) last year so probably be awhile before I get around to another go of them.

Probably going to end up being the first Pokemon game since gen 3 I don't buy. Might end up playing it if my roommate gets it, but as it is really nothing about the game is screaming that it's something to be excited for, especially since I didn't really like PLA all that much in the first place.

Wish they'd offer a bigger discount on Ultra Street Fighter 2 at some point. Kind of want it but don't $20 want it but it never comes lower. Already have most of what else is included in this sale that I'm interested in, including SF6.

Either way I impulse bought Silent Hill F so likely no more games for me until Galaxy 2.

I think the way more pertinent question is why New Donk has a street named after K. Rool. What was that meeting like and how did that get approved.

Western one a lot more clearly communicates what the game's like and looks nicer to boot.

Been on and off doing a run of HeartGold, might aim to finish that up.

I'll likely pick it up at some point but not sure if it's going to be at launch, might wait for a sale.

I'm pretty, "Eh, they're alright," on Black & White 1, but the sequels are the only games that can compete with HGSS for being the best in the series in my mind.

Probably not getting anything until Galaxy 2 myself.

I want to know why they even bothered to add a permanent selection of some of the icons just to have it be locked to five specific games and then never expand it further. Genuinely feels like they just forgot they have that section.

I picked it up a couple weeks back but not had much chance to play it yet, kind of ended up getting quickly sidelined by Shuten Order. Liked what I have played of it though.

I really have no idea what separates a good FPS from a bad one because it's not at all my genre, but something that was standing out to me was just how bad the environments look. Looks more like a remastered Wii game than something actually made for modern consoles.

The demo definitely gave me the vibe that I'd enjoy it a lot more than I do MKW. Probably pick the game up on sale at some point.

Galaxy 2, the MK collection, Danganronpa, and Fire Emblem are really the only things on my radar. Possibly Mario Tennis if you can actually play a full game of tennis in this one, was always the big reason I never got Aces.

Maybe the Wonder upgrade if there's a decent amount of single player content, but the trailer was definitely more pushing the multiplayer that I don't care about. The fact it looks like they're adding Rosalina might tip it for me though.

I'm definitely more on the side that Bayonetta 3 is just kind of a mess that's better off ignored. I like its cover of Moonlight Serenade, beyond that don't think it really brings anything to the table that tops the other games.

I did a run through of it a few years back mostly for Xbox Rewards purposes. Thought it was good but wasn't wowed by it or anything, not really ever planning to play Deltarune. Glad I did it once, it's worth a quick look, but I don't think it's something I'm ever super likely to play a second time.

I'll definitely get Galaxy 2 and I'll probably get the Rosalina Amiibo, can't see myself bothering with Galaxy 1 when I already have it and don't really like Mario as a character enough to get a figure of him.

Honestly best thing Sakurai could ever announce is that he's hired an editor. Man really likes to take an hour to say what could be said in five minutes.

Might be neat as a novelty thing, that was always a great part of the game, but it's absurdly overpriced for a 40-some page picture book - can easily find others of similar length on Amazon at under half that price - that's contents you can easily find online or in-game anyway, and it's especially dumb that they're not including the new content.

Also it's a little thing but I can't stand how Nintendo refers to everything they put out as "the (title) game" at all times. No other publisher talks like this, it sounds so inhuman.

@KingMike No, Tournament Edition is the second GBA port of Deadly Alliance. The game labelled DA has the console game's base roster, Tournament Edition has its unlockable characters while only retaining Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, and Scorpion.

I think the actual weirdest omission in this set is the GBC version of 4 given Digital Eclipse made it. You'd think it'd be there just for the curiosity factor and the chance to reflect on themselves a bit, even if it is awful.

Yeah, this update will probably be a pass for me based on what they've shown off. Don't care at all about multiplayer and honestly I don't think Wonder holds up well on repeat playthroughs anyway.

It was okay. Only things I was really excited for were Galaxy 2, the MK date, Danganronpa, and Fire Emblem, but that's four more things than some Directs. I'll give it a 6.

Really hope this does well enough that they do a second collection for the PS2 games, that's the one I'd really want.

About time on Galaxy 2, definitely getting that. I'll reserve judgment on Mario Tennis and Yoshi given 1), my primary hope out of the former is that unlike the last one you can actually play a full game of tennis, and 2), Yoshi games are wildly inconsistent in quality with some great and some terrible so I'm not inclined to trust them at face value.

Don't care at all about multiplayer or the movie or their museum or whatever and really wish they'd leave that stuff out of the general Directs.

I might check it out since the controls are the biggest reason I never could develop a taste for it, but even then I think I'd struggle with how I also just really dislike the game's aesthetics.

Not super interested in ZA but I'm glad to see Raichu getting some love at least.

I'm willing to pay $40 for Galaxy 2, but it does make me quite happy I don't have to pay the same for Galaxy 1 due to already having it.

Wonder if this is what that network test thing was about, looks pretty similar.

At least personally even on a gameplay level I didn't like Engage and really have no idea what people see in it. There's absolutely nothing about that experience I want to see carry over to future games other than maybe, "Please make a knockoff of Yunaka that actually has other characters that are even mildly interesting to interact with."

@Kazman2007 Top of my head the only years since 2000 to not have at least one Kirby game are 2001, 2007, 2013, and 2024.

@Kazman2007 Really the only time they've ever released spinoffs in particularly close proximity to each other is Heroes and Warriors both coming out in 2017, and seeing as the former's a free-to-play mobile game really not sure that should count.

Really glad this one seems to be going full steam ahead on being more Three Houses. So, so much prefer that being the blueprint for the series going forward than Engage.

Really I just want the 4 remake but I'm sure it'll come eventually.

@HugoGED I feel like personally I'd probably give that distinction to Emio, but it's definitely a lot more than you'd expect out of a Mario game.

I really don't tend to like how Dedede looks in the actual Kirby games. Feel like the Smash Bros. version of him is more how he should look.

No interest whatsoever in the Mario movies but if it gets us some kind of rerelease of Galaxy 2 I'll take it.

@Coversnail I wouldn't be super shocked if we get an announcement of a Switch 2 version of one of the Xenoblade games at least. Hoping especially for 2, it needs it the most and it's my favorite of them.

Some releasing soon-ish Switch 1 game I can use my voucher on, a Chrono Trigger port (NOT a remake), something new with Fire Emblem (preferably either a Three Houses Switch 2 version or an Awakening port), a RE4 remake port, and maybe a Mario 3D All-Stars 2 are the top of my hopes that I could at least somewhat see happening.

I'll settle for hoping for something that'll be out by January that I can use my sitting voucher on and a Chrono Trigger port.
