I'm hoping the MK4 fixes include audio fixes, the game really just doesn't sound right. Also the unlimited Fatality timer doesn't seem to work in the arcade MK2 for some reason.
Collection has other issues I hope they fix, can definitely feel the input lag even offline, but so far I've had fun with it at least. Really glad they're cutting the pause menu time down because it takes obscenely long for that menu to pop up as it is, it can be hard sometimes to even find an opening long enough to do it.
Nah, not played the game in years at this point and even if I did go back to it I feel like I'd lose interest again within a couple of weeks. Finished the museum besides the paintings and got more money than I could ever spend, feel like I've done all there is to do.
@charliecarrot Yeah, 13 Sentinels is excellent. It took me two tries to get into it since I think the opening is very slow and it doesn't really start in the thick of what's interesting about it but it's super worth seeing it through, very rewarding experience.
For what it's worth while they're certainly not the console version the GBA versions of Deadly Alliance and Tournament Edition are still very worth checking out. They're incredibly impressive ports that feel about as close to the console experience as they reasonably could and they look and sound great.
I'm really digging it and don't at all care about online play which probably helps. Though I do hope they fix the audio and graphical issues with MK4, the lack of the, "Fatality!" call in particular really hurts the experience.
I'll probably pass. $5 isn't much but the last time they did a DLC update it reinvigorated interest in the game for me for like a week and a half before I went back to not playing it so I think I'm kind of just better off going, "Yeah, I checked in for a year straight when the game came out, that's enough," and staying away.
I mostly just wonder why (unless this has been added in a patch since I last played it, been a long while) there isn't a music player within World itself. People seemed to really like that feature when they put it in 8.
@dew12333 It's mostly a one person job going by the description, the director doing pretty much everything but the art design, writing, and music. $32,000 out of pocket on top of whatever's already being paid for the work that's been done as it is isn't exactly chump change for a one person operation.
Besides this also helps to prove interest in the project which will help with securing outside backing and potentially getting more funds from other sources, which is something they specifically say in the description that they're aiming to do but will likely take some time to put together. Having a successful Kickstarter first would help tremendously with getting financers on board.
Kind of long wondered about checking the game out on Switch because my brother (who has it on PS4) has been obsessed with it for years, but it'll probably depend a lot on how they price it digitally. The Switch version hasn't been on sale in nearly five years at this point and it's not a game I'm willing to pay $60 to get caught up on.
@TheStormGL It's a game that's had a ton of different revisions and new iterations over the years. The current Switch release is several updates ago and Repentance is DLC for it, and this new revision will likely add a bunch of new stuff to it.
Good to see it seems to be well on its way to being funded for the people interested, though as someone who loves Story of Seasons but never could develop a taste for Rune Factory this kind of just seems completely interchangeable with the Rune Factory games to me. Doesn't really seem to actually be bringing anything new to the table.
@rvcolem1 Coinciding with Scarlet and Violet they wrote out Ash and switched to new protagonists. There are a lot of indications that this show's in the same continuity but it's largely a standalone thing that's taken over as the main anime.
Nah, easy pass for me, didn't really like Age of Calamity that much, didn't at all care about TotK's plot (especially the flashback parts of it), and I already own five other Musou games on the Switch anyway, I really don't need another.
Never really been super crazy about the NSMB games' soundtracks, but the first one is probably the best of them, is before they really hyper-fixated on certain motifs starting with Wii.
I eventually stopped following Horizons because it felt like it was taking forever for anything to ever actually happen in it and I've heard that kind of just becomes more and more of a problem as the show goes.
Quiet change I only just noticed and don't think I've seen anyone report on - the, "Play this game to unlock these icons!" ones now only require playing the game once instead of three times.
Persona 3 Reload mostly, kind of quickly fell out of playing it on the Xbox but decided to pick up the Switch 2 version and making more of a concentrated effort to focus on it.
That's down 700,000 from Arceus. Nothing to sneeze at but between the way longer gap between games and increased marketing I'm definitely sure they were hoping for much stronger.
@the_beaver Wouldn't count on TP being any time soon, given they already announced Sunshine, Path of Radiance, and Pokemon Colosseum and XD but didn't announce it. Though really in general the rate they're releasing these is frustratingly slow, especially the fact they didn't even bother with one last month for some reason.
@lovesushi I'd definitely more recommend Royal if you haven't played either. Persona 5 has a lot of quality of life and refinement stuff over its predecessors and while Reload does integrate some of that it also keeps a lot of stuff that feels really archaic or half-baked by comparison. Feel like it's a better, "Once you're sure this is for you," kind of experience while 5 is a lot more newcomer-friendly, especially Royal.
Really weird they didn't stick in Wiping All Out but either way pretty welcome. Reload's takes on the music are good but I generally prefer the originals.
@AussieMcBucket The Hidden Mansion is the game's New Game Plus. The initial release the only differences are that Luigi takes more damage and the Poltergust is 50% stronger, meaning it isn't really a particularly different experience and is arguably an easier one.
The PAL version on the other hand has a lot of additional changes. There are more ghosts around, bosses have more attacks and the Boolossus fight is reworked, there are barely any hearts to be found, and there's more money to be found and tying into that they raised the cost to get an A rank making it only possible to get one there.
Not been very long since I played through it but I'll probably do another run, helps it's a very short game. Might do the PAL version so I can try out its superior Hidden Mansion.
Even with a bigger digital split it's surprising it'd be that much lower than Arceus given Arceus 1), didn't really do like super huge numbers by Pokemon standards anyway, 2), had to compete with a better-selling Pokemon game coming out two months before it compared to ZA coming after the longest wait between installments in the franchise's history, and 3), didn't really get anywhere near the marketing push ZA has.
Neither's exactly great but I think the amount of clutter on the NA one is actually what tips it to that one for me since it much more clearly communicates the microphone part of things.
Feel like there are only so many you could really reasonably do it with. Tails, Knuckles, and Amy are probably about the only other ones with the cultural cache of Shadow. Maybe Metal Sonic?
That said I do expect they're probably going to do a big Amy push when the next movie comes out.
Without Pokemon can't really think of that many standard DS games I'd be dying for that aren't already available on the Switch in some way - Hotel Dusk, Super Star Ultra, Pokemon Conquest, and maybe NSMB and 64 DS are about it - but I'd lose my mind if we could get 3DS games someday.
It's been time for absolutely ages, especially if they're going to keep doing drawn-out cutscenes of just characters yammering about nothing. Not everything needs to be voiced but at least some key scenes should be and there should be some grunts here and there, the games feel so cheap trying to do these cinematic segments while being totally silent the whole time.
@HammerGalladeBro Even weirder on that is that Mega Latios and Latias were in the data but completely unobtainable. I don't think you can even trade the stones over from ORAS.
Seems pointless to even try to me. You'll probably have to have already beaten the game to even have a chance of getting them and since you can't trade them you can't really use them for an actual run through so why even bother?
Find it kind of doubtful I'll ever play Splatoon again - not touched 2 in years and consequently decided not to get 3 - but I'm glad they're making efforts to keep stuff like this supported when they really don't need to.
Captain Toad's fun but I'm kind of content with there just being the one of it. Though it'd be nice if they'd patch the 3D World levels back in given they're still in the data anyway.
My roommate picked it up so I'll probably at least give the game a look, but it's the first Pokemon game since gen 3 I'm not buying myself. Just really not much appeals to me with this one.
I've always found, "But no one will be able to read if there's voice acting!" to be a completely detached from the actual point argument given 1), you'd still need to be constantly reading to engage with the battle mechanics anyway, and 2), I don't think anybody's asking for literally every single line of dialogue to be voiced. Just not having stupid crap like Piers singing an instrumental or heavy camera focus on Drayton's mouth in a cutscene while he's not actually audibly saying anything would be nice.
@EVIL-C It's a promotion they're running at the moment with the Switch 2 and Xbox versions of the FF7 Remake where if you buy them digitally before January 31st you get the original game for free. On Xbox the free game is available immediately but on Switch 2 it isn't until the day Remake itself comes out.
I'm sure it's just due to the nature of how Nintendo handles their preorders, but at the very least you could make it so it unlocks a week prior when they actually charge for it.
I picked it up when I got the Switch 2 but not had the chance to really dig into it yet, glad to see they're supporting it at least. Probably should get to it soon, been wanting to replay it since before they even announced the port but it's a hard game to make time for.

Re: Boo! Mario Halloween Switch Online Icons Arriving This Week
This is likely the entirety of the set, these are some old pictures they've trotted out for some events in years past.
Do notice they wisely decided to leave out the one of Kamek dressed as a ghost. That one wound up a bit, uh, unfortunate.

Persona 3 Reload mostly, kind of quickly fell out of playing it on the Xbox but decided to pick up the Switch 2 version and making more of a concentrated effort to focus on it.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch 2's GameCube Library Next Week With A Spooky Classic
@Friendly They did port Xenoblade X, and Mario Paint, Zero Mission, and the original WarioWare are also already on NSO.
Also I'd say a pretty notable one never ported from the Wii U is Color Splash, but also I don't think there'd actually be much demand for it.
