Re: Review: Pokémon Legends: Z-A - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Stellar Battles, But A Step Down From Arceus

LazyDaisy

@MamaSymphonia It’s great to hear that it helped you with your education. I don’t agree with the implication that adding voice acting will contribute to lower literacy. Literacy includes speaking and listening, two things voice acting can help early learners with. Voice acting doesn’t replace the text. They work together and support each other. Fire Emblem Three Houses is a good example.

My initial comment expressed disappointment that it’s 2025 and we still don’t have voice acting in the games from the parent company that has an entire anime department.

Re: Takashi Iizuka Explains Why Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Was Delayed On Switch 2

LazyDaisy

You may have misunderstood the “But because the console’s release date was later” line. He’s not talking about the Switch 2’s June 5th release, but rather the Crossworlds Switch 2 release date, which is “later” than all the other versions.

I interpreted it as “because the Switch 2 version’s release date was later” seeing as how it’s the last port to be made, they made they decision to give it the time it needs rather than rush it for release parity.

Re: Opinion: Sonic Racing Crossworlds > Mario Kart World, And It's Not Even Close For Me

LazyDaisy

I enjoyed reading this article. I thought it was going to go more in depth, but the key takeaway is that CrossWorlds captures that arcade racer feeling very well, something Mario Kart World seems to have lost along the way with the open world, transition races, and the handling of its online races which disincentivizes the core 3 lap gameplay Mario Kart is known for.

Might I add that the Rival interactions in CrossWorlds are such a fun addition. Seeing the entire cast interact with one another with unique dialogue is something I didn’t know I needed. Also, every character has its own victory theme, think Smash Bros, but taken a step further as no two characters share the same one.

I’m interested in Crossworlds, but knowing how sale-happy SEGA is, I can wait for a discount before biting.

Re: Are You "Unsure" About Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade For Switch 2? Don't Worry, There'll Be A Demo

LazyDaisy

@TrueBlueYoshi What @ReaperMelia said, but if you don’t want to worry about controlling the character, you can choose the classic option for easy/normal difficulty mode where you can solely focus on the ATB gauges. You can take control of the characters whenever you want if you feel that their auto-mode is taking too long, which it will at some point. You can switch between the classic and normal combat gameplay as you please.

Re: Opinion: Resident Evil Requiem Represents A Turning Point For Switch 2

LazyDaisy

It’s not a turning point. Switch 2 is strong enough to handle PS4-level ports, which will get phased out by the time PS6 launches, because devs will then focus on PS6/PS5 ports. Switch 2 will be back in the Switch 1’s position of not getting the big 3rd party games, until the Switch 3 arrives to receive PS5-level ports, and the cycle continues.

Re: Review: Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush (Switch 2) - DLC That's Ripe With Fun, But Could've Been More

LazyDaisy

Not Bad & Abysmal leading the poll. That is some divisive DLC.

I have zero interest in roguelites. And for this to come out 2 months after release makes me think DK Island was unfinished content that Nintendo decided to nickel and dime after the fact. Imagine if Princess Peach’s Castle was DLC for Odyssey and didn’t have any stars to collect. That’s what it feels like they did here.

Re: Newcomers Can Break Final Fantasy VII Remake With New Difficulty Settings

LazyDaisy

I hope it works the same way it does in the og ff7. I believe you just had to press the L and R sticks at the same time. Lord knows how many times it has saved me during my run.

Whether it’s a difficulty option or just cheats that you can enable and disable at any time, I think these are great options to have for the tedious/hard parts of the game. I’ve been wanting to replay Remake and Part 2, but have been reluctant because of the amount of time spent on battles, even on easy mode. These options can make experiencing the story again very fun.

Re: Nintendo Direct September 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

LazyDaisy

It was disappointing and some parts were horrible.

  • $20 Donkey Kong Roguelite DLC. The DK Island isn’t even a full island to collect Banandium Gems, unlike Princess Peach’s Castle Area was for Odyssey where you could still collect Stars (Moons). God of War’s Valhalla DLC was also roguelite, but it was FREE. This should have been free, because there’s nothing worth paying for here.
  • The mega stones for the Gen 6 starters in ZA are locked behind online ranked matches. So you have to pay $90 if you want to collect all mega stones. Then there’s the $30 DLC, which makes it a $120 game total. This is disgusting.
  • They are seriously going to drip feed games to people who buy the Virtual Boy attachment. There’s 14 ROMs ready to go, so why make them wait? No one will want to buy one when only 1 or 2 games will be available at the start, and will then have to wait monthly or bimonthly for the rest to come out, while the VR collects dust. Absolutely gobsmacked by this.
  • New Fire Emblem looks cool, but I’m sad it’s not a totally original game. After how beat to death Three Houses was with DLC and a Warriors spin-off, did we really need another game tied to its setting/lore? I’m sure it’ll be good, but I feel let down that we’re not getting a truly original game.

Re: Poll: Three Months In, How Would You Rate Switch 2's Library So Far?

LazyDaisy

@Ade117 Switch 1’s launch was far worse. Let’s compare the first two months in terms of original first party titles:

Switch 1 - 0 games (BOTW and MK8 released during the first two months, but they were Wii U games)

Switch 2 - 2 games (World and Bananza)

The Switch 1 didn’t get its original first party title until June with ARMS, followed by Splatoon 2 in July.

So it took the Switch 1 five months to get two original titles like the Switch 2 did in two months.

Re: Poll: Three Months In, How Would You Rate Switch 2's Library So Far?

LazyDaisy

I rated it as 1. There’s nothing in there that makes me want to go out and buy the system yet. The rest of this year doesn’t seem great either. LegendsZA and Prime 4 are Switch 1 games, and who is genuinely excited for Hyrule Warriors part 3? That just leaves Kirby Air Riders which seems good, but another racing game so soon after Mario Kart is poor timing. Duskbloods looks cool, but that’s next year.

Re: Bloober Team Wants To "Open A New Chapter" For Horror Games On Nintendo Consoles

LazyDaisy

"What Kono-san did with this title was pretty impressive," Babieno said of the ghost-busting GameCube launch title, "And I believe that there is a huge possibility to repeat such an idea in the future”.

I only wish Nintendo/Next Level Games would’ve done it with LM2 and 3. Neither game lives up to the first one, and I’m losing hope that future entries ever will.
