Re: Super Mario Party Jamboree Gets Jam-Packed Overview Trailer

LavaTwilight

@JSC016 That's exactly why it doesn't count. I think s/hes more interested in Nintendo games from the developer rather than Nintendo games from a third party. We're blessed with having so much variety on offer and it's great hearing about new games for the console, but they'll be more interested in games from the developer.

I feel the same way, and while I don't think this video is evidence there won't be a Nintendo Direct, I still don't think there will be one.

Re: Little Kitty, Big City Update Is On The Way, Here Are The Patch Notes

LavaTwilight

A lot of these fixes on here should have never made it to the public. They should have been fixed prior to release.
I was looking forward to this but after the poor reviews I'm not sure I even want to play it. Most of the negatives seem to be fixed with this update but why release a game that's not ready. That's jjust lazy. Maybe if it's heavily discounted I'd go for it.

Re: Sony Lays Off 900 PlayStation Employees, Closes London Studio & Cancels Projects

Most of the decent staff will be able to go into indie development and make good quality games. But if the studios involved are doing it to replace them with AI technology to "make" games, I am going to completely boycott modern games. I've got a blacklist as long as my arm as it is as well as hundreds of favourite games to play again. I don't need their smelly AI induced blah blah simulation simulators.

Re: Endless Ocean: Luminous Is Coming To Switch In May

LavaTwilight

I really loved the originals, but I also loved the exploration side of it. I'm not keen on the idea of it being a different dive each time... If I find somewhere I really like and want to explore again, how do I find my way back? I hope it's not always random.

Re: Talking Point: What Will The 'Switch 2' Actually Be Called?

LavaTwilight

What we notice, everyone console 'sequel' is different. They've never gone back to Super. They've never gone back to numbering the megabytes. They've never gone back to 'Advance' or 'New'... so I don't see them going back to 'U'... rather it'd be something new. Unfortunately I think the + is most likely but I'm hoping for something completely different... i dunno... maybe...

Re: How Well Do You Know Zelda: Ocarina Of Time?

LavaTwilight

@Justaguest you've been reported for only getting 7. Seriously, no need to thank me.

But I only got a 6... I really expected to do better than that but in all honesty I haven't played the game in maybe 10 years so... maybe it's time for a revisit!

Re: Bandai Namco Announces New Dev Studio For Commissioned Projects

LavaTwilight

There's a rumour from someone by the name of Zippo or something (I don't pay too much attention to rumours so I may be incorrect with the name) that says Bandai Namco is working on the next Mario Kart which is slated for 2025. After reading this article then it might be legit, but I'm still taking it with a pinch of salt.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Super Mario RPG On Switch?

LavaTwilight

I was wondering why it was exactly 50/50 between just two of the options, and then I realised I was only the second one to vote...

I definitely would love to play the remaster, but I have just too many games to go through right now. For everyone else who does it pick it up, I hope it lives up to what you remember, or enjoy the legend that it always has been!

Re: Talking Point: Along With Joy-Con Drift, What Does Nintendo Have To 'Fix' With 'Switch 2'?

LavaTwilight

Definitely themes... copying other companies is not a bad thing if it's for the consumer. They need to know there's no shame in that. Besides they could still do it their own way.
Imagine powering up the switch to have an 8-bit Mario or Luigi jumping up to the ceiling of world 1-2, running across the 'end' pipe to warp world, only instead of pipes he drops down to the game selection screen. Or what about Captain Olimar running along to pull out Pikmin from the ground and each one is holding a game selection thumbnail. Then the background and colour palette matches those games. They could do something similar with any Nintendo franchise.
Of course knowing Nintendo they could come up with something much cooler. The question is, why don't they?
