@Siskan @NinChocolate I'm going to say that the Pandemic probably stopped them from going to Japan. Which is a shame I agree, but the world is so much smaller now thanks to modern technology. They can still do so much.
@markb44z you need to use a VPN to make the website think you're accessing it from an approved region. I think you can find some for free or at least with a free trial.
I think on it's own merit MK8 is much better than the wii version, but I've had it since it first came out on the WiiU. I've become a bit tired of it. Besides that I prefer unlocking characters and courses rather than unlocking Kart pieces, but that's just me.
Unfortunately my kids are also a fan of the series. I've got a few of the OG games before but they have always been pretty poor, even by my kids set of standards and the youngest was 5 the last time she played one of their games. Would be interested to know if this company has learned how to make decent games yet (admittedly we haven't played all their games).
@Elvie completely unrelated to the original film. It has more to do with the Netflix series, which is also unrelated to the film so it's no surprise that this would be also.
That would make sense, to allow the screen to display HD whereas a chip in the dock would boost the graphics upto 4K, either natively or as an enhancement. That would allow the handheld to keep a superior battery life in handheld, while allowing the system to push for power when docked.
Nintendo are good at that sort of innovation and now that they're working on this hybrid technology they're only going to learn how to do it better and better.
@Kimyonaakuma it is random, even including Marshall...
One of the issues I have with AC merch is that it should be either all or nothing. I mean, I get the special characters like Isabelle, Tom and Flick... but then the other 4 should also be 'special'... Chip, Daisy Mae, Mable and Gulliver, for example. The problem with including villagers, is that you'll never make everyone happy. It's ok if you like these 4 but I guarantee you have other favourites you'd rather have... and then some would want characters not included here (I'm partial to Peaches myself
This was an epic game, an incredible one that really gives a realistic feel of what combat was like in those times. Without the flashy distraction of magic this game can be a bit brutally difficult at times, but never unfair. I really enjoyed this game and would probably buy it again because I had to sell my last copy after completing it.
I took advantage of the Qbic sale last year, and a few other freebies, but out of the 15 or so games I got for free I think I only really played 1 or 2 of them for any considerable length of time and that was mostly for variety or to play a quick 10minutes with the kids. I don't think this kind of thing would be missed.
I was thinking it would be good to design a card game without magic or monsters underlying the theme of the game. Never heard of this one. Might have to check out the physical version but this looks like a purchase for me. If the price is right!
Hopefully they would bring back Dizzy if the merger happens. I've written to Codemasters before and their response was that they didnt think it would sell.
I'm not watching, I've got better things to do like organise my socks alphabetically... but I do hope they name and shame the people they obtained those cards from.
@Silly_G my thoughts exactly. I agree with Kickstarter projects. It's a fantastic way for those who have ideas and aspirations but without the finances to make those a reality to actually have a shot at it. But for these companies to request funds when they already have the means is just wrong. Would they honestly have to close their doors without the kickstarter project?
@Clyde_Radcliffe @Bunkerneath mine would have to be Fantasy World Dizzy. Treasure Island was a close second though. This may actually cause me to finally buy the Evercade...
Wow 520 comments... people really love to hate on this guy. If he doesn't understand it, he shouldn't be an analyst... it's a simple concept. Didn't the NintendoLife poll show more than 20% of the website visitors use a mix of docked and handheld? Maybe he should have done some research before making these claims. Just because he doesn't understand it, doesn't mean it doesn't work.
I already have most of these items... unless these differ slightly for whatever reason... but I'll probably still play a few matches. I loved the proton courses from last year, I hope that's the Heatseaker mode it's talking about.
I'm actually impressed that the karts drive quite well over carpeted areas, as can be seen in the second video. This might be worth the hundred euros after all... then again I have a Bengal, so not sure how she would react but I have a few guesses...
@Obitokamui64 I don't think so but your guess is as good as mine. I think they scrapped it like with Metroid 4, only they didn't tell us about it. So we're left wondering. Perhaps continuation with Pikmin 4 will be dependent on how well Pikmin 3 Deluxe sales do.
I've preordered it already and am scratching the itch so far with the demo. I would love to see 1 and 2 ported to the switch. Keep it as it is or upgrade it with a new HD coat, I don't mind it's all good to me just make it happen please!
@Yanina don't worry, the WiiU was a complete flop. When under production the technology in the WiiU was cutting edge, but by the time it came to market there were already several iterations of the iPad and other tablets and that technology was defunct. That coupled with the awful marketing strategy meant that this easily fell off of a lot of people's radars. I remember going into the local gaming stores and more shelf-space was given to the Wii than the WiiU even after a year of release. You'll be forgiven for not knowing it even existed.
I would love this and would pay the 100, but the fact that you need a second switch to have a 2 player is just too much. It's acnh all over again and the fact you need a second switch and a second kart just makes it too much. Such a let down because I can't get this for one kid and not the other. Sure they can share but they are an anomaly in that they enjoy playing together.
The red glove in a previous teaser made me think it could be Pauline... mayor of New Donk City... but of course it could be meaningless and the next fighter could be the Kool Aid guy, OH Yeeeah!
I had this on the game boy and remember thinking how hard it was. When I finally completed it, it was such a huge accomplishment. I repurchased it on the 3DS a few years back and was surprised at how short and easy it was. Definitely worth it though.
That looks annoying. I don't remember Sunshine being as buggy as that... maybe it was during a time when we were used to that kind of treatment from even the best of games so I didn't notice it too much...
To be honest, to someone not in the know, these may look just normal tracks that the platforms run on. I've seen them in other games, and while they may look nicer when intended to be left in, this really isn't a make or break scenario, is it? Nintendo have patched over lesser things before. Just chill out, enjoy what you've been given and smile.
I'm surprised there's so few comments on this after a whole hour. Objectively, I think the game being 'beaten' harks back to the 80s and early 90s when games were admittedly much harder to complete and there was very few options to find out how to get past that one boss, or what to do next. Therefore, it was a challenge to overcome. The gamers who have the easier, albeit longer, games no longer have such a high challenge and so can easily 'finish' the game if they get to see the end credits, but will only truly 'complete' the game if they do everything else.
And now I'm gonna put my head on the chopping board here, but as for being a gamer, I'd rather say no. I enjoy video games and videogames. But if I turn round and say I only play nintendo, some have actually said to me that I'm not a gamer because I don't play GTA or FPS and the like. And I would tell some in my community I play video games and they immediately think I'm into bloody violence and gore. So I've chosen to avoid that term altogether.
Realistically, people need to just chill out. It's not worth getting angry and into a heated debate over. Oh, you don't suppose the violence in videogames has anything to do with that, do you?
Hopefully, the exclusion of additional bonus features may be due to the covid, and hopefully will be added as a free update later in order to get the game out to people in time for the 35th anniversary. I'm hoping the same would go for Galaxy 2... but with something as big as that you'd expect it to have been announced during the official reveal, "coming later" kinda thing. We can but live in hope.
1 and 2 were amazing. Didn't listen to the doomsayers about Banana Blitz and got it anyway aaaaand I wish I did listen to them. It's not terrible but just not the first 2... which were amazing! I would love the first 2 games again.
@AgentGuapo @RennanNT @Chlocean That's good to know. When I owned a Wii I couldn't re-download that which was removed from the Wii eshop. I'm glad Nintendo have changed that now. I actually don't often buy from the eshop, only what is not originally a Retail release.
