My son is wanting to play this but they wont allow children accounts for android phones yet. That needs to be rectified!

In my opinion Arkanoid is the best Block Breaker game out there. It's very simple compared to others but the mechanics of it worked better than others too. If the price is right I'll have to get this.

@samuelvictor I was confused as to what you were talking about then I realised it was from a comment I made 5 years ago now. So at the time it was accurate... incidentally I still haven't played this new Zool game. Is it any good?

Everyone wants Pikmin 4, why don't Nintendo just do it? I hope this won't delay the production any more than it already has been, but who am I kidding? I must have this app. The pedometers I use are great, but they're missing a certain pikmin-esque quality.

Just DLC for me this week. Thankfully my kids have just outgrown peppa pig so I dont have to suffer through that game... unfortunately.

@sikthvash I dunno... when you compare fifa 95 with fifa 2020, if you look really closely, there are some minor graphical improvements.

Never owned an N64 (only Nintendo console I've not owned, except Virtual Boy) so never really got into this. My friend did have it but when I had Mario Kart and Goldeneye to play on, those took most of our time.
So yeah, totally hope it comes to the NSO!

I remember on the GCN that if you had both Pikmin and Smash Bros Melee you would unlock an exclusive trophy. That was even the reason I became such a fan of Pikmin. Couldn't they just do something similar these days? Even if it's just an optional way to unlock the costume? It would make people more likely to buy the games that way.

@JAPBOO @Xeno_Aura @Grumblevolcano I'm hoping for a DLC expansion pack. The GCN had some of the best mini games imo, with 6 being my fave of all time. I'm hoping they do DLC for this. Super Mario Party was a wasted chance.

What I get from this is that the whole thing is highly speculative... it's just one person's opinion. Even if part of it is true, they shouldn't try to conjecture. It discredited what truth there is in their statement.
Incidentally I've never played DK64 so I wouldn't mind having a go on that one.

I'm looking at Family Trainer, but there's no option for it, or a page for it. If it's like ring-fit but mini games then it could be good. Would like to see a review on it first though.

My 'hidden' gem would be Snoopy's Magic Show. It was the first game of it's type I ever played and I got pretty far on it, which I was pleased with being a wee 8yr old

Here's hoping for Pikmin 4 or Mario Kart 9. Chances of either are highly unlikely, but stranger things have happened.

I've got one of those pre ordered, but I also have hot wheels pre ordered too. I'm on the fence about monkeyball thanks to Banana Blitz but I'm hoping the reviews are gonna be good.

@PhhhCough I couldn't have put it better myself. More tactful maybe, but that's not necessarily better. I've got kids and I've got tabs on their playtime. I don't micro-manage them, but they dont have access to the online shop to spend money that isn't theirs either.

So many of these problems can be avoided if the parents just took an interest in what their kids are doing. I understand the argument how some parents aren't tech-savvy, but we're living in a tech-savvy world. If you were to live in a foreign country, you would need to learn their laws and customs, or you can find yourself in a lot of trouble. It's the same with technology. It can be just as daunting to some, but it's important parents understand these things or they may find themselves or their kids in a lot of trouble.

My question to Ms Silver, is who placed a gaming console in her child's room that granted him access to such unregulated games? Was there no one regulating what games he had access to?

I agree that video game addiction, like any addiction, is a problem that needs attention. But to broadly sweep the whole industry with the same brush is almost like they're trolling their own readers.

I'm sceptical over this after the atrocity that was Banana Blitz. If this is like Deluxe but upgraded and Monkey Target kept to the original faithful then I'm in... but I'm still cautious. They just nailed it with 1 and 2... everything else was just sub-par.

The original Worms and Zool by themselves make this worthwhile!

Funny enough I haven't finished EY either... maybe I should, it's been there for several weeks already.

This is a lot like a korean drama I saw on Netflix called Extraordinary You, where a girl who feels like she's the star of her own show, realises she's actually a side character in a comic book about another girl. It's fun but can be a bit slow if you're not into that kind of thing.
If they put in the same amount of love and dedication into the film as they did into making these posters, I don't know why anyone should think it's not going to be good. They look amazing.

I always pronounced it 'fee' because of my friend, Fiona, who's name we always shorten to Fi. But hearing that Nintendo officially calls her 'fai' then that is what I shall call her henceforthwith tally ho and all those crumpets.

I loved The Sims Medieval. Definitely one of their best spin-offs. I wished they did more with it but they focused too much on Sims 3. Which was strange because they never seems to fix the glitches that were there. Sims 4 is getting a lot of attention but it would be nice to see a new story-focused Sims game for the Switch, and not just a port of what is already available on PC xbox and playstation. Sous sous!

@ERIC_MACK It's nice to see someone else appreciating the game for what it is and not getting upset over unfulfilled expectations. I'm not saying it's wrong to expect things and ultimately get disappointed when it doesn't come to pass, but all this moaning and hating on is toxic.

I played the original Gamecube and now this, so my experience of AC is very different to most others and I'm well pleased with this entry. It may even be another 15 years before I pick up the next entry in the series, assuming it's still around for that.

@Perryg92 @Broosh still far better than the 'Monkey Target' on Banana Blitz... didnt the Deluxe version include both SMB1 and SMB2 Monkey Targets? Banania might do the same.

@Yorumi @MervTheMan Well the GCN was my first and only previous Animal Crossing experience. I miss that we can have so many villagers on our island (was it 15?) but otherwise I still hold NH has more than the original. Maybe I'm forgetting things but that's how it seems. Of course, I didn't sink hundreds of hours into NH in the first month like others did due to the lockdown so I still had lots to do as they were updating us with new content.

Also I can't comment on New Leaf, I hear a lot of love for it but also that it also received additional QOL DLC down the line? So maybe by the end of NH, it will have the same quality.

It'll be a shame though if people have lost interest in it. I'm still playing and enjoying NH regularly so I guess I'm one of the lucky few?

I think people forget that when we bought Animal Crossing on the Gamecube, what was on the disc was what we got. We didn't get quarterly updates or changes... we got what we got and were happy with oh my god I sound like my grandfather...

Ok am I wrong here, but I thought that the original Donkey Kong is in fact Cranky Kong from the DK:Country series onward, and Donkey Kong Jr grew up to be the Donkey Kong we know today. Hence why DK jr hasn't resurfaced (other than the original Mario Kart) and why Diddy Kong is distinct from DK jr.

Gaelgie is still very much a living language. There's some people over here who would pretty much refuse to speak to you unless it was in Irish. I only know a few words myself, but on behalf of l of us in Ireland, go raibh maith agat (thank you).

I would be happy if it turned out to be just interactive movies like Black Mirror Bandersnatch, but bringing over games such as the ones developed by Welsh Interactive, etc. I'm not interested in another stadia-style experience.

I thought burn-in hasn't been an issue since the early 2000s... why is it back? I need to upgrade my switch but not sure if that time is now or not... still have an original model but it is in relatively good condition. Not sure if a burn-in risk is going to swing it for me one way or another though.

How about bringing the N64 to the NSO and then you can add OoT and MM.
This September is the 2yr anniversary of the NSO so we may get it then.

This is an awesome idea and I would probably pick it up, I love Monopoly variations and I have about 10 different versions, as well as an old version of the game from the 30s...

@IndoorHero maybe not best but I agree Sonic & Knuckles was the better of the 2! On its own, Sonic 3 was hardly worth it.

I played the original versions back on the MegaDrive/Genesis but I didn't enjoy Sonic 3 or Sonic & Knuckles that much... I'm surprised they're so high up (3 moreso than S&K). That said, I do think they're better than most other Sonic games but I still feel 1 and 2 were better. Not played Mania but I'm seriously considering it seeing all the praise it gets.

Actually my brother sent in a letter to Codemasters about 25years back asking for them to bring back Dizzy (the egg that was big on Amiga and Spectrum) and gave level design ideas and they also replied and offered him some cool merchandise (their excuse was they were focusing on racing games). So it does happen.

I've always loved the Strike series, Desert Strike in particular. I should imagine that could do well with a reimagining.

@Eel really? That would be annoying... although that doesn't mean they can't include extra boards and added minigames still. I watched the Treehouse and it seemed like all the games were from the first 3 MP games... unless I missed one. It does seem heavily stacked to the N64 era though

@russell-marlow @cheetahman91 @Joeynator3000 the fact that these are only from the N64 games and not a larger compilation like the Top 100 on the 3DS is giving me hopes that this may actually have further DLC from the Gamecube era... although that is still a long time off.

I'm very picky with my games. Like most gamers, my games collection far exceeds the amount of time I have to play them. Despite this I'm very picky with what I am willing to actually pay for.

The simple answer is, if it is a decent game, i would pay for it, whether it's Switch exclusive, a port, remake/master, whatever. I hate Apple as a company and their products but if a game is sorted to Switch that piqued my interest then sure why not.
