@Olliemar28 is that 5pm British Summer Time? Because our clocks went back last week so we're now on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) sooo... what time would it be?
@MH4 I think, while the pandemic caused so many people to play it for days straight was a positive impact on ACNH, it also became the very thing to cause people to burnout on it.
@WaffleBoat essentially the same company that made it but no it's nothing like world of goo. Lil Inferno is really fun but a bit on the short side so it might be worth picking it up when it's discounted.
I once told someone his moustache looked just like Luigi's and he was well chuffed. Later I thought he was being polite and may have been offended but he straight up told me it made his entire year. Luigi's tache! Number one!
I dont know if this counts but I have a great fondness for Adventures of Link. Is it because people compare it to other iterations in the Zelda series? Is it really that bad and I'm just looking at it through rose-tinted glasses? I don't know, but in my opinion it's up there with OoT, MM, BotW and LttP. Which one is first, I actually can't decide but Adventures of Link has a chance in my books.
@gcunit It has an amazing story. One day on an adventure you notice a huge statue ruin in the landscape that wasn't there before. What's weirder is that as far as everyone is concerned it had always been there for hundreds of years. As the game goes on it's revealed that different universes are being destroyed and blending with each other. The story is without a doubt one of the best but it's a shame that everything else is so weak. On top of that, it also could explain how Viki, Jeanne and Ted are able to be in multiple games, but none of them even get a mention. That really bothered me.
The mobile Pikmin app isn't bad... it's just not a game. So if someone gets it expecting it to be then they're bound to be disappointed. It's also not another Pokemon Go app. Yes they're similar but it's a lot more relaxing than that. I got it when it was first released and still actively use it.
Saying all that, if he left it there I would've been sick with disappointment. Really stoked to have Pikmin 4 finally! Saying that, a 1&2 remake would've worked for me too, even though I've completed them both several times. And with such a vague release window for 4, it might have made me feel more content if they went ahead and released 1&2 anyway while we wait.
Challenging conditions abound for everyone, not just multi-billion dollar corporations and their stockholders. Instead of passing the challenging conditions on to their customers along with additional increase to boost revenue, why don't they protect their customers from it by absorbing some of the profit. Yet again, Nintendo leads the way.
@Grumblevolcano @Fizza I know what you mean, but then again I thought the E3 Direct was pretty standard... even when they announced they weren't attending E3 we were all like "oh no" but then they said they would do the Direct and it was all like "ah that's cool, we can dig it" but this? THIS?!? Outrageous!
@Fizza Instead of there being a direct Nintendo presence, there really should be a Nintendo Direct presence... I'll even be willing to wait a week or two. The absence of an 'E3' NDirect has really got to me.
@Sonos it's essentially just a different name for when the clocks change. From the end of October to the end of April is GMT - Greenwich Mean Time. And then after the clocks go forward an hour it becomes BST - British Summer Time. Similar to American clock changes only ours spring forward at the end of April, not beginning of March.
To have a guess at what courses we're going to see I think looking at MK Tour is the place to start. We will probably see some city courses and retro courses that feature there. That was what wave 1 was all about so it wouldn't surprise me to see that continue for wave 2 onwards. I dont know what to suggest though. Maybe the newly added Daisy Cruiser from the GC?
I just started playing this and find it so fun and enjoyable. I won my very first game. Haven't been able to repeat it, or come first in an individual round, but that still got me hooked. Really enjoying it so far!
@Zimon After the third game they confirmed there would be 5, but there was too much of a delay between 4 and 5... so if they're making a 6 then it's good news for fans of 3-headed monkeys and vegetarian cannibals!
Everyone remembers Castle of Illusion and World of Illusion but my favourite was actually the Donald Duck game QuackShot... I just found it more enjoyable. Maybe an Epic Donald instead of Epic Mickey 2 was the way to go.
@tinlunlau Is it because he's a whiny little shiii...mpleton of a kid? My kids seem to love Doraemon but not sure how they will get on with these sort of games.
That's what's so great about Nintendo doing their own thing... we can still get a massive Nintendo Direct even without E3. Plus, they don't need to be part of the Summer Fest.
I mean, they have to do one right? We've only had one proper one this year and they may lose consumer focus as well as investor support if they go through the 'E3 season' without any Directs.
@KingMike oh I dont know... I wasn't into game devs at the time. There are 3rd party games on the online library though so it's not impossible... just need permission but not sure how forthcoming that would be.
@ATaco Then hopefully we'll get Chuck Rock for the Mega Drive / Genesis soon! That was fun, albeit a little generic. It was a good generic.
On a separate note I've been waiting for Pinball. I would have got the arcade archives one if it ever went on sale but they always seem to discount the others.
I thought last month I was voting for 'Earthbound Beginnings'... I dont know why... But I got Earthbound from the WiiU eshop and completed it, but never did get to play Beginnings even though I bought it... so maybe I'll play that this month instead. Or is that against the rules?
Pikmin 4! It may not be 'Legend of Zelda' big but it would make me happy. And with the success the Switch seems to be having with the latest iterations of it's IPs, it may just give those cute critters the attention they deserve.
I hope this is true. The character selection seems too basic compared to previous entries. And although there is an extra board compared to Super Mario Party, I'm finding it a little frustrating; maybe because at least SMP had 2 variations of each board and a solo play.
I'd like to see new characters, but new boards are a must. Then again, who doesn't want more minigames?
Although I didnt opt for it, I like the answer "When I'm done with it." All this "you're not a real gamer" BS is ridiculous. I mean, the ending of a game varies from game to game. I mean in Animal Crossing the credits roll when you get KK on your island, but most of the game is locked behind that moment. Then with BoTW there's just so much to do. With games like Skyrim there's just so much to do you can't complete it in one sitting because of clashes. So when a game is done varies with game to game and I think anyone who plays games for fun has as much right to be called a Gamer than the one who does so competitively, and as such everyone has their own right to say when they are done with the game.
@Dingelhopper then hopefully, they used mobile game footage for the sake of the video. I tend to view things optimistically before jumping to conclusions... though admittedly I'm often left disappointed by it. I guess we'll find out on march 18th.
I was almost disappointed until they mentioned golf would be coming later. I hope it's reminiscent of the Resort version and not just the original. I would have to get this... as long as the price is right. That would be the strongest motivating factor for me on this one.
@rjejr I'd say there's unlikely going to be a new MK8 deluxe complete ultimate collectors edition for the next home console. I understand the cynicism but the fact is Nintendo had to acknowledge the commercial failure that was the WiiU, even though it produced some of Nintendo's beat games. They ported the games like MK8 in order to make a return on the investment that went into the WiiU and it succeeded. Although people like us feel slightly robbed because we bought the WiiU, Nintendo is still a business and have to keep shareholders happy, as well as consumers. With MK8 selling so much, a ported version of it to the next console wouldnt make sense as so many have already purchased it for the Switch.
@PikaPhantom @mystman12 @Kimyonaakuma @Dingelhopper I'm guessing... hoping... this is due to the fact that the videos are showing the beta stages of development and the final product would be on par with the other courses we already have. That would at least make sense.
So perhaps finally they can release Wario Coliseum from the GCN with anti-grav enhancements. Can you imagine that course while driving on the walls and ceilings? That would be mad! It's like that course was built for anti-gravity a whole 20 years ahead of it's time... hopefully there would be new Battle courses too...
I just wish the online mode was better. It's terrible at finding races, they're very slow and being able to showcase your own courses is non-existent... at least that's my experience.

Still on Animal Crossing but not with my original island. It's family-shared and I was out-voted 3 to 1.

@gcunit what about Suikoden Tierkreis? That game was pretty good although the weaker of the other 4 (I haven't yet played III)
Re: Konami Is Bringing Suikoden I & II Back With HD Remasters On Switch Next Year
@Krull they need another JRPG if it's Suikoden!
Re: Konami Is Bringing Suikoden I & II Back With HD Remasters On Switch Next Year
Oh Snap! I had both games back in the day and sold them both for over £100 each... yet I still ended up regretting it. Can't wait to get them back!
