@Supadav03 I don't understand why people would want this. It doesn't really add anything, and actually takes away stuff: it can't look as good because the system has to render more stuff, the linear parts of the game would look more confining, and it would just be much easier to get lost that way. I hardly ever knew where anything was in the Sw/Sh DLC as well. But then again, most places looked really similar to each other, which might be part of the problem.
My favorite picture is actually the one where they're judging the Pikachu photo. It's a proof that this game will have a similarly complex point system to the original, and that's a big relief.
Wow, now that's weird! I saw this game in a video a year or two ago, and just yesterday I tried to think of all the DS games I still want to get, and I remembered this, but the name escaped me. And now it's coming back? Cool.
@nessisonett Yeah... the DLC was really good though, and Star Allies also had the absolute best boss rush in the series, a mode I always really enjoy in Kirby games.
@Mana_Knight This! That franchise is awesome. There are actually 5 games on the SNES, if we include the spinoff puzzle game, Soreyuke Ebisumaru. That one was pretty fun as well.
Not a bad list, but Kirby Super Star is so, so much better than that. It's definitely better than Secret of Mana, for example. I mean, it's a good game, but it's just that, it has far too many problems for it to be one of the best.
It's kind of a hard question. Majora's Mask is probably my favorite Zelda, but I think I overall like the 2D style better. 2D Zeldas are usually more tightly designed, more action-packed, and it's much harder to get lost in them. 3D Zeldas usually have a stronger atmosphere and make a stronger impression, however. I still think the 2D style is a bit better, but I honestly love both so much.
@Kabloop James's real passion has always been movies. And he and the AVGN are not the same, AVGN is just a character he plays, one that IS known for cussing and yelling.
@The-Chosen-one Well, we're pretty much getting one next year. Or at least a game that's absolutely going for the Goemon style, made by mostly the same developers.
This is just awesome, it's one of the coolest game series out there. I especially love the shirt they're offering, but everything is a bit too expensive for me. Between this and Good-Feel's next game, it's a great time to be a Goemon fan. Now we only need a game collection for Switch and Goemon as part of Smash's second Fighters Pass, and it will be perfect.
YES! YES! This is pretty much EXACTLY what I wanted.
I absolutely love the Goemon series (I have all ~30 games!), but Konami doesn't care about the series since 2005, or when Etsunobu Ebisu left them, so I was saying for years that Nintendo should just buy the Goemon brand and let Good-Feel handle the next title, and we'll no doubt get a fantastic new game. Well, it's pretty much the same, except for the licensing part.
Okay. You don't like Kirby games, so your favorite is the one that originally wasn't a Kirby game. Makes sense.
For me though, nothing comes close to Super Star (and of course it's fantastic remake, Super Star Ultra). I love the Kirby series, it's actually one of my top favorites, but Super Star is just something else. I genuinely think that that game is Sakurai's finest work, even though I think Smash Ultimate is the best game of this entire console generation.
And yes, we were promised a localization of Yo-kai Watch 4, but it seems less and less likely. I mean sure, it only came out over a year ago in Japan, and Yo-kai Watch 1 for example was localized over 2 years after it came out in Japan, but you pretty much don't hear about the series anymore, and as far as I know, it's not as popular in Japan as it once was either. It's a shame though, it's a charming, fun series.
@Not_Soos Yeah, Star Allies is pretty short and easy, and some of the forced multiplayer elements are not great, but you gotta admit... The stuff they added later on are absolutely great, and it had easily the best version of the Arena ever.
Meh. I mean... I liked the first one. The Kirby formula lends itself to a fun fighting game. That's why Smash is pretty much already that. But I didn't really have anyone to play the first one with, so I put it down soon after I unlocked everything. And 20 bucks seems a bit steep if all this adds is a few new stages and characters. I'm hoping for some new game modes, and something like the collectible trophies in Smash.
I mean I will definitely get this, because the Kirby series is one of my absolute favorites, and I already have every single Kirby game (and I mean it: even stuff like the Japan-only extremely rare Super Famicom version of Star Stacker, the Anniversary Collection, both versions of Epic Yarn, and all the digital-only games), but I hope I will get enough enjoyment out of my money. I mean it costs the third of a completely new game! It's the same amount of money as one of the 3D Mario games from 3D All-Stars! It's more expensive than Undertale, the retro-styled Bloodstained games, the Mega Man Legacy Collections, Blaster Master Zero, or many other great, content-filled games.
I voted 2001, so many amazing games. I would count the original releases for every game, though. Pokémon Red/Green was released in 1996, not 1998, and Gold/Silver was released in 1999, not 2000, among others. Zelda was 86, Zelda 2 was 87, Wind Waker was 2002, etc.
Black/White are my favorites, but I do have a certain fondness for gen 1. Everything was so pure back then. It was just a rag tag of developers throwing around their wild ideas.
I mean sure, we could have fun characters this was as well, but just think back to how many fun and creative characters were in the first two Paper Mario games. I feel like Miyamoto (and perhaps many of the higher ups at Nintendo) don't take Paper Mario seriously.
Super Paper Mario pretty much only had original characters and vanilla Mario characters, and that worked out wonderfully, so maybe someday we'll get something like that, but I'm personally all for the wacky characters based on existing Mario enemies and races.
I actually really liked both Sticker Star and Color Splash, the battle systems and the lack of incentive to actually engage in battles were the biggest, and almost only negatives in those games in my opinion. I just don't understand why they have to do the exact same mistake for the third time.
Wow, awesome! I only played the remake of the first game for the DS from this series, but that one is nothing short of a masterpiece. I don't have a Vita, so I'll love this, I'm sore.
@CalTonTheRobot It's more complicated than that. Spirits, or maybe even Assist Trophies don't deconfirm characters in the second fighters pass, because they thought of it and put it together way after the game came out. Spirits did deconfirm the wave 1 fighters, though, because they knew what they wanted to include before the game came out. So if they knew that they wanted to put in a character later, they could just not include a spirit of it in the game. I think the best example of this is the very first DLC fighter, Piranha Plant. When the game came out, there was no Piranha Plant spirit in the game. Which is strange in itself, because every other common Mario enemy had one. Not to mention that you had to evolve a Nipper Plant spirit into Peter Piranha. That just feels weird. Why not a Piranha Plant? Because they already knew he was going to be a fighter later on, so they just omitted the Piranha Plant spirit. Every fighter from now on was decided after the game and the DLC sold well. They didn't plan for these guys originally. Now, anything goes.
@BabyYoshi12 Doki Doki Panic and Mario 2 are not technically the same. There are different characters in them, a boss is different, you can save in Doki Doki but can't I'm Mario, and you have to beat the whole game with all 4 characters in DDP to see the ending, but not in Mario.
It's funny how everyone seems to forget how Piranha Plant was actually the first DLC fighter, making this one from ARMS the 7th, not the 6th. Just because the plant wasn't part of the first Fighters Pass, it was still a DLC character.
@Zorothex I don't think so. There are Pokémon in the game that currently don't have Pokédex entries (like Mew, the Bulbasaur family, the Squirtle family, and Slowpoke), and actually, there were tons of Pokémon in Sun/Moon and especially Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon that you could easily capture in-game, and didn't have Pokédex entries at all. I guess the logic was that Pokémon Bank had entries for everyone, so that was the new place for you if you wanted a complete Pokédex. I think it's not that outlandish to assume that Game Freak would do something similar this time around.

Nice. It's a great game, even if it's not as great as the first three.

It's nice to see Rhythm Heaven Fever relatively up there, it's an amazing game.
Mega Man 9 is a lot better than that, though, but it's still nice to see on the list.

IDK, I played the first one on 3DS, and it was pretty rough. It had some semblance of quality, but overall, it was not that well-designed.
