@NeonPizza "I usually can't stand easy games, I always figure, what's the point?" If you want to try something where taking one death leads to you doing everything over, try Celeste Farewell Golden Berry. That's a wallop! In all seriousness, I see what you're getting at. I will say it is a bit nostalgia fueled, but the point still stands: modern Marios are easier. However, there is a good reason to remove the "send back to the beginning of the world after a game over" feature: it doesn't lead to anything new. You're just playing the same level over again. Yes, you get more practice, but after a while you go from mastering a level to just playing it over and over as you fail to beat one boss (cough cough, Mega Man). Also, there are collectibles, and being forced to collect them every single time would be a nightmare.
That box art though "Ok, place these graphics here..." "How's it looking? We have to show it to the boss in five minutes!" "Umm, there's still lots of transparent space... maybe if I place some boxes here an there... no I don't want the fill to be white-" "We have to turn it in now!" "Ok, let's go!" In all seriousness, my hype levels are EXTREME!
I want Detective Pikachu, but it comes out in four days (wow already!?) and I don't want to take on anything too long so I'm ready for Mario Wonder. Although, Wario Land 3 may not be the best substitute... (like Wario, it kinda stinks).
So far, here's my opinion: the controls are meh, the AI's are indeed annoying, some puzzles are impossible without two players at least, but besides that, great game so far.
Finally going to give this game a try. My friend will play it with me! I just hope there's some way to deal with the other two kirbys... (kirbies? I'm not sure.)
Luckily, I managed to catch this reveal live with help from a friend. And I have to say, WOWSERS TROUSERS, did not expect that! To bad I literally just beat it...
@Tott Good idea. Honestly though, I have zero expectations and want nothing from the direct. Mario Wonder is enough for me right now, and while I wait I'm sure I'll find something else to do.
I shall be continuing my playthrough of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. I've done something I've should of done long ago... I got Geno! And got the second Star Piece, of course.
Whelp, it happened. Guess that's why he wasn't Mario in the Mario movie. Honestly, though? I care more about the gameplay than the VA, so not the biggest news.
I am continuing my playthrough of Paper Mario: the Thousand-Year Door, and after making it to chapter 7, I realize I did just suck at RPGs when I was younger, and that the game is actually pretty good!
This applies to me, as there's this old mobile game I remember from back in the day. I don't remember much, though, and I know it has been delisted from the app stores, so that's unfortuneate. All I remeber is a specific instrument used. I can't recall it off the top of my head, but when I hear it, I recognize it.
Here's my two cents:
The best part of this game is the style, of course, looking really neat. As well, the theming is used in some great ways, like the menu being the desktop and pencils being swords, and some moments are really good (chapter 6 being a personal favorite, and the end gets suprisingly somber. [major spoiler for the end of the game:] After Wright dies, the princess considers FLIPPIN SUICIDE!). The soundtrack is also a standout. There are just some glaring issues that really bring the game down:
. The main problem is the gameplay. It's themed as an action-adventure RPG when it's really a point-and-click puzzler with educational elements. The latter part I get (the game takes place in a school, after all), but why a puzzle game?
. As well, the puzzles in combat are sometimes VERY convoluted, especially the fourth boss.
. There's a party, but they're mainly just plot devices.
. The other main problem is that you can't replay parts of the game. Once you beat the game, your only option is to delete your save file, which I would never do. Instead, I wish you would get a time machine which would let you replay individual chapters. Would also let me play the board game mode that got added.
. No music box mode. They literally have an MP3 player, let us use that!
Overall, 7/10. Good for what it is, but really needs some QOL stuff.
Honestly, the presentation was exactly what I expected. My prediction: trash mobile app anouncements, TCG on NSO due to the leak, and Scarlet/Violet news. That's what we got, excluding the 15 or so animated serieses. So, I give the Pokemon Presents a 5/10. Perfectly average.

Re: SanDisk Launches Mighty 1.5TB Micro SD Card Compatible With Nintendo Switch
Ok, now this is just ridiculous. 1.5 terabytes? For a Switch? 99% of people don't need this.
Though it is good for the 1% that need it.
