I bought the Switch 2 wanting the Switch 2 Pro with 60fps for all docked and portable AA and AAA games. AC should change the 30fps mechanic keeping it down. I could forgive 30fps on the original Switch but with DLSS and it being 2026, I think I can ask for 60+

Smooth 30fps? will maybe wait for a sale on this and hopefully they can put out a 60fps mode, that would be wonderful

As one of the worst German developers, I don't have a lot of faith in this game to do well. I saw Star Trek and was hyped, then saw Daedelic and was reminded of Smeagol and Gollum. They even have pausing the game as a mechanic because it's too difficult to manage your ship with their control scheme! Cries*

A Pokemon game running at a solid 120 fps or 60 fps in either 2k or 4 k would be a miracle and I'd love it to happen later this year or early next. The next one HAS to have voice acting and more anime cutscenes would be welcome.

Indiana Jones will most likely not be physical. I have been buying a lot of NS1 games from Square Enix for the physical version, it's dumb as a consumer not to have an upgrade path or option for a NS2 cart. Great for their profits.

@Tempestryke there's plenty of game to enjoy and you can wait if you don't want it now, options for everyone. I just looked it up, the game on Steam alone has made tens of millions of dollars, I think it's doing fine from a risk perspective

Smaller team? Focused narrative? Oh I am looking forward to whatever it is they announce. A nice 6-12 hour focused horror game sounds good.

@link3710 comms from Nintendo on this would help. I think they're doing enough with the miscellaneous titles but could do better showing what's on the roadmap. Different ways of handling this. If not hardware then strong change mgmt and a BC roadmap would go a long way.

I feel like the backwards compatibility is a major issue and very unlike Nintendo to launch a product that requires this many updates for legacy software. They're addressing it slowly but surely but we also paid $450 for something that should work better out of the box

@mackers84 the lack of cloud saves for certain games meant I lost a full Pokedex with a Switch Lite. Nintendo should just let it work on all games and worry about the few cheaters out there in a better way. All games should have the cloud save ability we might pay for with Switch Online.

Yeah way to over promise guys. Glad to see Battlefield has had a big impact on them by taking feedback over years to create a product we all like again. COD played through all the stories it needed to from a war perspective so everything else is just a rehash of modern warfare. They need to just keep COD as a service for multiplayer & sell campaign DLCs instead of big $70-100 launches every year, games are more expensive and we expect longer term support for that price. Let's see what they cook up and hope for some free betas

I got a $94 ViewSonic 15.6 inch and it's great. If I spent as much as this espresso it would need to be OLED 120fps and minimum 2K which you can get for $250 or shell out more to get a 4K version. Portable monitors are great! I use it for Xbox as the Switch 2 screen is superior with its refresh rate beating my 60hz monitor

Dude PJ. Such a good article. I remember playing this at an IGN Expo event as a teen in the early 2000s on an Xbox 360 with surround sound speakers in a racing chair. You could hear the chopper flying overhead and the cops all around you. It NEVER got better than that. If DLC and seasons were a thing, that game would've had legs for 5+ years

Performance mode on a Nintendo console and 120hz on a Nintendo console make me happy for the future of gaming. It makes such a difference for shooters and action titles, big fan

I love physical. I support physical. I support ownership. Even if the product dies of old age it can be traded and used until end of life. My Xbox discs from 2002 have outlasted the 360 eShop and my Pokemon games from the 90s have outlasted multiple Nintendo eShops

@charliecarrot I think the smaller docks make a lot of sense for people traveling between places a lot that prefer to play on TVs with the pro controller. My hands get wrecked with regular joy one and my split pad pro is massive.

Game key cards are poopy, I want real games without downloads so I can play when I purchase traveling. The controller could've used some cooler design. Overall excited we are getting all these on Switch 2, only wish I could get a MicroSD Express for cheaper and in a larger size for all these dang key cards 😭
