Nope. I’ll be happy with switch this year and very likely into 2021.

If the pro is lite sized, I’ll upgrade.

Now - I’d imagine a current non switcher could be tempted to buying a new ps or Xbox AND a lite to cover all their gaming Bases.

Switch is in a great position strategically either way I’d say.

Playing with the joycon on the lite is a better experience than handheld on the og, imho.

I do prefer the pro controller though. As I play in a room with it’s,s around, I find simply proving it up on something and using the pro to be a simple enough (and free) process.

@Ooccoo_Jr you have my deepest sympathy. It’s a misery. I think I’ve grown out of it, after a few decades

As a premise of a game? It’s nothing to be sneezed at I guess but snot what I’d typically play...

I’d be curious to see how Nintendo uses all this loot. I’d imagine there is some sort of percentage based system; 40% r&d, 10% marketing , 30% profit etc...I guess some would go into a “war chest” for lean times and currency shenanigans.

Goodness. Well I’m glad that innovation has been rewarded. It also speak volumes of sticking to a strategy and not getting cold feet if it veers off course or goes out of favor for a season.

Also, it’s huge, literally taking two people to hold it. You may as ell have a good gaming laptop.

@The_Pixel_King have you played the lite yet? Sure it’s plastic but it feels fantastic and very durable, much more so than the OG. It doesn’t look “mature” I suppose but maybe the concept of mature is changing.

That said, a super premium material switch would be lovely too!

Yeah, they would have bought the media space six months ago or so....and there’s nothing like scarcity to make people want something more.

I’m a very happy gamer this year. My wishlist/games to get is ridiculous and even if nothing was launched next year, I’d be kept busy and steps closer to the poor house.

I’ve played like 4% of the Witcher, so I need to attend to that in the dark Winter months ahead.

Having played with my kids’ Xmas present , the Lite, I’m jonesing for one of those too...it’s just lovely to play on. Although I’ve destroyed many hours of stardew valley save data in some kind of snafu.

Just sitting and waiting for Animal Crossing now where I will be forced to buy two damn copies. It will be worth it. Been a long time sunk I’ve sunk teeth into that game.

@Dm9982 I still have a 1989 o g GameBoy that STILL works. That thing has been through it all. Same with all the other kit I’ve ever bought from them, no issues. My og day 1 switch, yup drifted and replaced. Hope they are a bit more robust with their quality testing next time.

If my anecdotal evidence is anything to go by, the US sales figure for the switch this “holiday season! Is going to be huge! I have a feeling it’s hit that mainstream tipping point. Even my non gamer pals are getting it as a family toy / gadget.

Got one for my lucky wee one this year. It really is a joy to hold and play but it would be a waaaaaay better system if it could actually switch. I mean how hard would it be to release a widget to make this happen , and rake in even more loot.....

I loved Tetris for a hot minute and had a blast with Mario Kart online. Otherwise I dipped into and pretty much straight out

@valcoholic interesting view. I understand that a good game is a good game and should be simply took on its merits. Agreed. I also see that at times the term “indie” can be to the dev’s detriment. On the other hand, it could be worn as a badge of honor. Like indie music bands often do and sometimes, in the advertising industry too. It can mean independent of mind, brave, talent shining through despite the (perceived) lack of giganticorp mega buck backing.

For me, I take the game in its merits, reviews here and on YouTube. I’ve played way more Touryst than say, Doom or whatever this week

Man there is a LOT of games I haven’t played, being pretty much a one console person.

The games I do play I love so shrug also it looks like a lot of the top games could be ported to switch - plenty of potential there .

Stuck on the last Touryst level - so taking a break to try and get Mario U down. Nice reminder to play Gato Roboto - really good game -!but yet again m, got stuck. You’d think after all my years of gaming I would suck less lol .

I used to do a bit of Pr for Atari a while back and I never got tired of getting news and review stuff early, special feeling for sure.

Looks very sharp and I enjoyed the review you guys did over on YouTube. I won’t be buying it though I way too much of a scaredy cat.
