Re: Talking Point: So, Where Does Switch Fit Into Sony And Microsoft's Next Gen Landscape?

KIRO

@sanderev mmmmm.....I get your point, however, nintendo were very quick to point out during the wii/blue ocean strategy era that not only do the compete with other consoles they also compete with cinema, swimming, riding a bike basically any distraction/entertainment. They do offer something no one else does (Disney, Ms, Sony, Apple) and will always have a place in my heart for sure!

Re: Nintendo's Directors Earn A Relatively Modest Wage Compared To Other Industry Execs

I wonder why the respective staff “churn” is like between EA and Nintendo? That’s a good signifier for how a company treats its staff.

After all, if you’re in a midlife/senior position at any of the global software companies, I’d presume you can pretty much walk into any job in the industry. So staff loyalty can be either bought with big salaries and other perks or just be a cool place to work. Hopefully both

Re: Nintendo Shares Soar To Highest Point In More Than A Decade

@Grumblevolcano I suspect you’re right here. So much financial insecurity in everyone’s lives I’d image people are going to be very cautious spending money on non essential, pricey electronic goods this Xmas/holiday season. A Switch is a good purchase and offers a ton of entertainment for the family at a reasonable price (ish).

I have 5 shares and have made $46.44 so far . I’ll never retire on this but it’s enjoyable to have just a little bit of Nintendo. At some point I may earn enough to buy a full price, first party game. Gawd knows I’ve given enough cash to this company down the years.

Remember kids: always invest what you can afford to lose, shares go down as well as up, although the market trend is to go up over the long haul.

Re: Super Mario And Levi's Join Forces For A Mushroom Kingdom Clothing Collaboration

I like some of this (coins in pocket, Levis logo being punched by Mario). The classic label with the MARIO logo slapped on looks sloppy.

Nintendo have to be careful here. They are clearly going on a licensing bender at the moment. Don’t want to over do that so everyone gets sick of the site of then. Although I do want the Lego....and the Vans were cool....and oh damn....take the money already....

Re: The First Animal Crossing: New Horizons Review Is In

@pblive same. I suspect the parent / kid two systems and two game copies is going to be fairly common. Good shake down for money on Nintendo’s part!

However, I can easily see a year or more of entertainment with this (if past games are an indication) so I think that works out as great value.

We’ve already spent two weeks thinking of names for our characters and villages....
