Wonderful. This is one release I can’t wait to play. Im having to borrow my kid’s lite, the og is dead and I can’t find an lied preorder for love or money…no panic….they will eventually be around.
First new Nintendo device I'm not lining up over night for. I live miles from any stores these days...I know I'll get one eventually, hopefully before xmas.
@BlueOcean makes me wonder what the studio could have been if part owned by Nintendo and part owned by Xbox. Could have been very cool. Not as cool as Ultimate Play the Game of course…
I’m down with this, although the price seems just a tad steep. I’m also looking forward to getting my preordered Playdate, my first non nintendo device in decades (that was the psp).
Vaguely off topic: Physical release, good! I'm done with digital. A storm knocked out the internet, meh, I'll play a bit of old school shooter Raiden which I'd downloaded. Nope. Apparently, it has to check the Internet before I play a game I paid for. Give me the carts1
@SwitchForce thanks for the intel. I’m normally a line up at Rockefeller all night kinda person so I’m vexed at this. Meh. Might just grab a lite for now …should be. Ok for Metroid
@Kidfunkadelic83 And I take it you've enjoyed the tv show The Detectorists? If not you're in for a treat! Well, if you like "cosy" gentle English comedies that is....
Onto the game, yeah, this looks nice and relaxing. I'll hang back for a review, I'd imagine a 7/10? Which would be fine for me.
I loved the first one but as per usual with me, got a bit stuck and frustrated with a boss. Thanks to @SwitchVogel, I now know there is a run away option. Good!
A point on this, “ Only about 20% of PS4 sales were PS4 Pro, which means that of the existing users before Pro.. at most, 25% upgraded.”
Good research but stats are often about framing. I wager in some Sony board room it’s all, “we sold 20% more ps4 this quarter following our upgrade strategy”.
@TheBigK mm. I’m in a kinda similar sitch. I’m going die getting a replacement oled. Not as nice portable form as the lite but plenty fine enough and then the big Telly for the epic games. Plus I’ll now have two docks
@Ear_wiG my kid has the light and I really love it as a handheld. My origins, og has died (cracked back to to modest fall) and just not turning on, so the new Oled is too tempting for me to say no to. If I had a working I wouldn’t bother, maybe get the lite for traveling
All fine by me. My OG Switch - bought on launch day - just flat out died. A first for any of my Nintendo stuff (my 89 game boy still works). I was on the fence about buying a lite (love the form factor) but I appreciate the option of occasionally glutting out on a big Telly game of Zelda. I’m not sold on the color combos but maybe it will appeal more “in the hand.”
@recent_mantis my v1 switch broke so I’ve been “borrowing” my kid’s lite - it’s a joy to play! If only the thing docked !! I don’t play many docked games but Zelda will be one I’d like on a big screen … so yeah… I don’t think you can go too far wrong either way depending on how you like to play .
Posted this elsewhere but yeah definite purchase for me as my OG died on me. I love the lite form and wish they’d just allow That to be docked and have an oled screen but you can’t always get your own way - so yeah A I’ll be happy to have this and Metroid, Zelda 2 and my back catalogue.
My oh broke a few months ago so for me this is a day one: what I would have loved is a dockable lite with a larger Oled screen 1 that would have been perfect for me .
Still, I’m good with this, despite not being wild about the color scheme.
@Friendly so would I! I like the game so much I’ve been tempted to get a second hand PS just for it. I’ve played it a bit on iPad but, meh, I just don’t like playing games on touch screens (or non nintendo devices lol)
Not to yuck the yum, but 3.1m seems like a paltry amount considering the size of the gaming audience overall. I suppose this just represents the hardcore mentalists (like all of us)? I suppose I’m getting used to seeing these ludicrous k pop figures with, like a billion people watching so and so….
I think I could be into this, I’m always tying and failing to programme but one day, I’ll make a game….the lack of custom objects is a bit of a shame but I can live with it.

Re: Nintendo Is Releasing N64 And Sega Genesis Wireless Controllers
I’d pay a pretty penny to play Dune 2 on Switch. It would make sense to release it now to cash in on interest around the new film.

Anyway, can’t say this has me too excited but a decent review could change that.

This will be interesting for me as both a Nintendo fan and a “Blur Ocean” advocate.
