Majora's Mask
Skyward Sword
A link to the past

Played OOT so many times at this point, though its good I couldn't get excited about playing it again without something being added too it. Also alttp was my first Zelda and it formed my videogame preferences for the rest of my life.

Re: Nintendo Switch Pre-Order Stock - Tough to Find in the US, Easier in the UK

ICHIkatakuri

Pre-ordered mine from shop-to on the 3rd of Jan. Hoping others waited until the reveal, as shop-to said that my preorder date would stand, but they didnt have their allocation numbers yet and it is on a first come first served basis. I have had every Nintendo console at launch from the NES onward, but always previously collected from a store. Hopefully shop-to is up to the task.

Re: Analyst Firm DFC Believes a 2016 Nintendo NX Launch "Would Be a Mistake"

ICHIkatakuri

I really hope that Nintendo take some time to create a really solid line-up of first and third party launch games before they blow their load. Taking their time over the operating system and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible on day one. This would mean (to me) waiting until late 2017, with ports of later Wii U games readily available and launching in line with some of the bigger third party franchises launch window (e.g.: FIFA and CoD) in autumn. I'm not a huge fan of either of those mentioned franchises but having the most powerful platform to play those games on (if indeed the NX is the most powerful console), with bundles for both, certainly helped the PS4 and could help the NX launch. But having ports of those games running well without bits missing (like the Wii U did) means they need the decent development cycle. With Dev kits going out late last year, a 10 - 12 month turnaround would be hard without cutting corners and the NX would be off to a rocky start with bad press everywhere, just like the Wii U was.

Re: Expect To See More Spin-Off Titles Like Hyrule Warriors In 2015, Says Miyamoto

ICHIkatakuri

Metroid Prime HD trilogy would kick derriere! I am wondering when we are going to here some more from Retro. They noted they had begun development on something else a while before DK was finished, were coming up to a year with the whole development team having been moved onto this project and not a single peep from them, we know it's not StarFox as the discussion about letting another development studio take some of the reigns on that came up from Miyamoto before and after E3. I am litterally dying to know what on earth they could be making, if its another DK game though I might lose it

Re: Iwata Cites "Same-Generation Hypothesis" For Strong Smash Bros. And Pokémon Performance

ICHIkatakuri

I never played pokemon on handheld I was a bit too old (about 15-16) at the time and have never felt the urge to try one. Then again if one were to release on home console (a proper one, not Colosseum) I might give that a go. Saying that though he is right, I loved Super Mario Bros as a kid and although I'm not suckered into buying everything Mario I look forward to every single one of the main games. It makes me feel younger

Loving Hyrule warriors here in the UK, been kicking back with it all week and being a warriors fan and a zelda nut it's probably one of my favorite games on the system. So easy to lose a few hours to it
Looking forward to all the US readers getting their hands on it

Re: Nintendo Confirms Development of Games That Will Have "Improved" Gameplay and "Enhanced" Graphics on New 3DS

ICHIkatakuri

There are about of people throwing some hate at the new 3DS. I personally don't think it's something that is meant to be a quick cash maker, but instead think it's meant to increase the life of the current hardware model. I am a believer in Nintendo fusing both of their hardware divisions into one release for the next gen but the public would be expecting a new handheld announcement next year. With the new 3DS this expectation could be put back a while until they're ready to talk about the successor to wii u and 3DS and in theory Nintendo could test the remote play for certain games to be released soon for Wii u. It's a shrewd move and I'm buying into it.

Re: Review: KickBeat: Special Edition (Wii U eShop)

ICHIkatakuri

Not big on nu metal, it was always too cheesey for me in the first place that I don't think I could play a game with it playing constantly. If I could play my own tracks then it would be a different deal! I played through reign in blood through vib ribbons ability to play any disk back on the psone.

Re: Nintendo 64x64: Mario Kart 64

ICHIkatakuri

Every year, me and my friends get together from all over the country to play some old video games, reminisce and go out for a drink. Without a doubt every time this occurs, Mario Kart 64 will see some decent play time. Not as much as Goldeneye, but for me and my friends its at that level of multiplayer simplicity that makes it still fun to play 17 years on.

Oh and I seem to be the only person on the planet who didn't really like DKR, which had too much going on for new people or non gamers to appreciate what was happening, though technically a better game it lost something compared Mario Kart in my opinion. I loved to play games with anyone who would give it a try and got some of my friends into gaming, but at the time if they didn't "get it" immediately, then it was never seen again during multiplayer sessions. Mickeys Speedway is better than DKR

Hyrule Warriors for me.

@ThomasBW84

I have recieved an email from Amazon yesterday regarding my preorder of Bayonetta 2. Amazon UK originally advertised the normal edition as coming with a physical copy of the remastered Bayonetta 1 game too (which we know now is not the case), but have upgraded my order to be the special edition for the same price. I am now getting the special edition Bayonetta 2 for £31.97

Re: Review: SteamWorld Dig (Wii U eShop)

ICHIkatakuri

Been looking forward to this for a while now and though I have it on 3DS, I am going all out and support this port by buying it again for Wii U. Games which show so much charm and instant appeal such as this are few and far between. I hope these guys have a long career in game development.
