Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct video that will stream tomorrow – 5th November – coinciding with Guy Fawke's Night here in the UK.
The gaming giant did not divulge any particular information about what we can expect to see in this latest live stream, except that it will focus on the games that are coming out before the end of this year. President Satoru Iwata and European President Satoru Shibata will both be in attendance during the stream.
The video will begin on 5th November at 10pm UK / 5pm Eastern / 2pm Pacific / 11pm Central European.

I'm hoping for a release date for Shovel Knight in Europe, some new 3ds games for 2015 and possibly some info about the new 3ds.
@Mega719 Curious to know what makes you think it is about the games in 2015 as there is nothing in the announcement that points to that. I would more expect this to be what is coming up for Christmas as that is what their focus should be right now as it is the biggest selling holiday of the entire year.

Guessing this would be the perfect moment to divulge the release date for MK8 DLC. Maybe throw in some new info on Captain toad. A European date for Shovel Knight would be great too. This will probably be a minor direct, but I'm excited nonetheless.
I expect Splatoon to be released in May; like Mario Kart 8. Unfortunately, May is Summer in Japan. Probably more news on amiibo, Super Smash Bros., Captain Toad (if there's anything left), Yoshi's Woolly World and perhaps Mario Maker, or Project Giant Robot? We'll see...

@ikki5 @Mega719 In the November Nintendo Direct 2013, they covered a couple of 3DS titles that had release dates in February 2014. However, I think all the products that they mentioned then had fixed release dates, so things like Starfox and Zelda U are extremely unlikely IMO.

Understand, understand, the fifth of November, the delaying of Smash Wii U. I just want to play it but they're delaying it, now what are we supposed to do?
For SMash, All I really need is pre-downloading the game to be ready, or at least a solid date on when we can pre-download the game.
They'll probably say the date the mk8 dlc is coming out, and reveal another track or two with a trailer.

Been waiting on this one and its pretty much right on schedule, though I'd really prefer 3 days notice so we can build up the hype, 36 hours they might as well not announce it and just put it on YT.
Was kind of hoping for a 2014 one now and 2015 in Dec after the big games launch Nov 21 but oh well. They will probably focus on the amiibo games and Yoshi and Cap Toad are next year in the UK. Not expecting anything new at all, but since we havent seen N E THING about Zelda, XCX or Splatoon or Mario Maker since E3 then just geting coverage of those would be nice. But amiibo should be front and center. Should be a good one.

Maybe do SOMETHING with the Virtual Consoles? The Japanese 3DS VC has had no new games, bar the odd 3D Classic, since May. You might to get more consoles on that at least, maybe bring the PC Engine/Turbografx over here and the US as well since Konami are a keen supporter.

@CaptMcCloudAran Like you I hope we see surprises. We already know about SSB but announcing a demo available after along with a bundle and/or game promotion like MK8 would be great. We want to hear about unannounced games like F Zero, Metrroid and maybe an HD remake would be great. Info on new features that are coming would be good too. As for other SSB info I'd like to see some crazy thing like Bayonetta coming as DLC would be very cool! Though I doubt they'll announce them release dates and new VC systems would be a good thing.

How is it I'm the only one here who wants something for DKC's 20th anniversary?! Especially since the image used for the article is Donkey Kong... Sitting in front of a birthday cake...
I know Nintendo will focus a lot on Super Smash Bros for the Wii U (even though they must have said all they can on it by now), but it is their big game of the season. They will also focus on Captain Toad because in the US and Japan, it's a pre-Christmas release. I feel it will also do better in those parts of the world because of it.
I really hope that Nintendo has a surprise up their sleeve for a video game or two, even if just downloads, to be announced in the Direct. Last year they announced NES Remix so it is certainly not out the question and hopefully will be something pretty awesome.
Oh and of course, Nintendo will discuss the Mario Kart 8 DLC as that game is going to be one of their big hopeful sellers this season along with the console and SSB.
This may sound odd as I already own a Wii U, but I would like to see a small price cut this holiday season. I think it would make Nintendo more competitive in the Holiday Season.

I already know what's coming for the Wii U retail side the rest of the year. I don't know what's coming for the VC though. I'd like to hear about DS/N64 games. That's a promise Nintendo dropped the ball on. And where are the genesis, Sega Saturn, etc. That would be such a great thing to play these games on a gamepad. Again, I don't need a rehash of what's coming this year, and I don't want to hear about the Amiibo gimmick.

Nobody really should expect any New 3ds talk. Only thing I'm expecting is some Smash Wii U, a lot of Captain Toad, a lot of the new upcoming Pokemon game and some indie titles.
Then they'll close it off with the Duck Hunt "reveal" trailer. But of course I'm still going to watch and hope for a surprise.
I expect a few surprising announcements. It'll be interesting to hear if they have any 3DS games besides Pokémon in the works, and hopefully they'll elaborate more on amiibo outside of Smash.

I would love to see a new 2D Metroid game for 3ds, but I know it won't happen.
Still can't really see how Amiibo will work for Mario kart, if its just away to customise your favourite character then that would be absolutly pointless. Maybe they have gone down the smash Bros route and you train your Amiibo to race, then you can race against your different Amiibos and maybe there will be an Amiibo mode update but once again what's the point. Anyone have any other ideas?

-Captain Toad
-Amiibo
-New 3DS release date and pricing for Europe (NA will probably also release theirs shortly after)
-Maybe ORAS (IDK if there's anything left to talk about outside of the last CoroCoro)

@babyguess So we will be realistically getting release dates for products up until late May or early June. I am good with that since I need to start working on my gaming budget for next year. (Sadly Smash is now a January game for me unless money falls into my lap.)

@andrew20 Maybe, but the Game Gear support has kind of died out, plus the Wii only ever got something like 20 SMS games in its lifetime.
The 3DS could do with the SNES and GBA games, along with another 3rd party handheld like maybe the Neo Geo Pocket as well as the TG16. Wii U really needs those N64 and I guess DS games that they promise at the beginning of the year. Gamecube would be nice, but I don't think we're gonna see them anytime soon. At least get the TG and perhaps another 3rd party system like sorting out the Mega Drive/Genesis issues or hell, even the Neo Geo! SNK added tons of Neo Geo games to the Wii even when the Wii U was already out! They could add so sooooo much more this time around now that file sizes are no longer an issue...
@Angelic_Lapras_King they are 22 game gear games in japan vs. 16 in the us and europe and we will most likely get more and we will get master system games i perdict the same amount that the wii had 15 games form master system
and we will get turbo grafx 16,neo geo and neo geo pocket and neo geo pocket color too

They will announce that the Mario Kart DLC will be available after the Nintendo Direct.
They will talk about how Amiibos work outside of Smash.
They will show new Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire features or trailer.
They will show Captain Toad.
They will show NES Remix for both 3DS & retail Wii U version.
Hopefully they show off something new from Splatoon.
.....and hopefully they surprise us with something completely new.
Hoping for stuff on 2015 games and SMT X FE.

@Ryno - No Mini U for another 3 years. Then Mahe will come back and tell us all - "see, I told you so" - when it launches w/o a Gamepad. It will have Netflix though, can't sell a console w/o internet anymore, too much money to made w/ digital sales, but you can sell it w/o a Gamepad if they sell separately for $79. Though if a mini Wii U has no Gamepad I guess they'll call it Mini Me.
Predictions: Amiibo, Captain Toad, New 3DS, some Wii U bundle that they will end up spending too long on, some Smash news (but not much) with the Duck Hunt trailer, Mario Kart 8 DLC, eShop stuff that no one cares about, N64 (hopefully GameCube as well) Virtual Console, maybe some new trailers of 2015 games (Mario Maker, Mario Party 10, Yoshi's Woolly World, and unlikely, but hopefully, Zelda U), and a possible (but unlikely) new game announcement for 3DS.

Wishful thinking, but highly unlikely. It's already been confirmed that an update to MK8 is coming next Thursday, so there's a good chance the DLC will also come out then.
Either way, I'm pretty certain we'll get the release date and probably see more footage of the new courses. Hopefully we'll see the Zelda and F-Zero tracks!
I remember reading about loads of Gamecube games being released in Hd to fill the gaps left by there being no third party games. I think that sounds probable

I would love to see Dragon Quest X get some love and release announcement for Europe and North America on 3DS. My guess is that if they ever do release it for other regions you will have buy the new 3DS system to play it.
I wanna see a new big update to the 3DS and Wii U that adds on screen notifications in game and a faster way to check messages on Miiverse. This may be unlikely but I can hope can't I?

New 3DS release d- oh wait, it's only 16 days away! (sorry gotta rub that in sometime.) There are plenty of things I could wish for, but none will probably happen so I'll keep expectations low. Plus I'm not getting up at 6am to watch.
This is going to be the first normal direct I'm going to miss ever. Sorry but have to present a debate that's worth about 20% of my grade and is the capstone course of my academic career. Sorry Mr. Iwata,please undastand.

I wish Nintendo were more active on the Eshop.There's really not been much from them on them on them Wii U and noting that is new unless you count NES Remix as new?.The Wii didn't have loads either but Excite Bike World Rally and Bonsai Barber were great and got plenty of play from me.The Art Style games were alright but You,Me and the Cubes done my head in.Would love to see them do proper 16 bit sequels to some of their SNES classics.And while they're at it get SEGA and Capcom to do the same.

@SparkOfSpirit I feel they did an alright job for N64 on Wii VC as most of the key system sellers are there like F-Zero X, SM64, SF64, MK64, OoT, MM, SSB, PM, MP2, etc. but to turn that into a great job they would need to delve deeper into the system's library (e.g. choose more games from this site's Nintendo 64x64 review lineup).
