With Super Smash Bros. for Wii U creeping ever closer, Masahiro Sakurai is still using his Miiverse Pic of the Day posts to show off the game and reveals some new details. Not every entry is particularly thrilling or full of information, but today's post does show us two challenges that'll be found in the Events mode, which is in the home console version after skipping the portable equivalent.

Two Events have been outlined by Sakurai-san, with each designed to show the variety on offer.

It's Past Your Bedtime sets up another predetermined situation for a single-player Event. In this one, Jigglypuff needs to put every fighter to sleep at the same time. There are quite a few scenarios like this that aren't simply brawls.

Events will be structured in progression paths on the Wii U, while there'll be separate challenges to take on in two-player co-op; we had a little hands on time with the mode for our recent Super Smash Bros. for Wii U preview.

Considering the fact it had its own recent broadcast, meanwhile, we expect Smash Bros. to perhaps only make a brief appearance in today's Nintendo Direct, with an obvious character reveal a potential candidate.

Are you looking forward to Events in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, or is it a mode that you'll likely ignore? Let us know.
