Nintendo and American sportswear brand Champion have kickstarted a partnership which sees a new range of limited-edition Mario clothing available in the US.
The range continues Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. 35th anniversary celebrations and includes a unique set of Mario graphics displayed on classic Champion designs. You'll find pieces which use the Japanese box art for the original Super Mario Bros. game, a Toad dye tee, a Fire Mario hoodie, and more.
Perhaps the highlight of the collection is the 'Super Fleece 3.0 Overalls', a "super-limited" design based on Mario's well-known outfit.
We're liking that Toad tee, we must say...
The range includes items for men, women and children, with items priced between $30 and $150. You'll find the designs at various retailers across the US starting today, as well as at Champion's website.
Fancy strutting around in those Mario overalls? We bet you do...

Hey this actually looks pretty cool! (and that toad..)
Blue Hoodie looks alright and might get a pair of dugs for work (if they do them in army green
Is it just me or do all of these Nintendo-licensed boutique items end up looking the same, no matter what boutique they've signed on?
Finally some good video game clothes from a company that's not nintendo
@RupeeClock Agreed. I think it's just because of what's in style these days what with all of the 90s looks coming back. Personally, I'm not really a fan of the current trends.
Makes me feel old even though I'm only 33!
For large parts of the 2000s and 2010s, Champion was bottom of the barrel of coolness, thanks to its huge, garish logo and baggily shaped clothes. Trendy people wouldn't have been caught dead in it. I know fashion is cyclical and all that, but I still find it jarring seeing teenagers these days wearing clothes that would have got them laughed at not too long ago.
I don't think I have ever seen someone wear suspenders outside of a Halloween costume or cosplay.
@TheSmashTheorist It is.... technically Nintendo though
@Heavyarms55 I do remember people wearing overalls somewhat in the '90s, although that trend leaned towards female.
Would say that Mario red overalls isn't quite the right look, but then again I could buy regular overalls any day from a work-focused (rather than fashion) clothing company.
@TheRealKyleHyde Good thing it's been quite some time since I cared whether my clothing choices were fashionable or as retro as my gaming choices.
Though I can see how those giant logos would be a turnoff, I do recall in the '90s they usually only had a small logo on them (or maybe if they did have a big logo, it was only as loud as everything else was in the '90s The era of, what were those T-shirts with the smugass phrases on them, No Fear?).
Not feeling it. Clothing brand labels talk me out of a sale most every time.
@KingMike Fair enough. I was a kid in the 90s but now that you mention it, I do vaguely remember seeing some girls wearing them.
They certainly don't look champion.
I may get a hoodie.
@Ryu_Niiyama the white hoodie with the fireflower looks decent! But them red mario plumber dungarees look horrible and would look a *****
Reminds me of the Reebok Super Mario World T-Shirt I wore in the 90s .
Had a crap day at work and decided to just send it on two of the pieces cause I think they’re pretty neat. Got the blue anorak sweater and the overalls. Those overalls are gonna be comfy as heck, and gonna make me feel good. Wished I got those Levi’s overalls earlier in the year, didn’t want to pass these up
