@MonkeyNinja506 Some comments here about it "looking great" etc - looking great on footage from more powerful platforms that should mean but being on a Nintendo site may well not mean that...
If a 1 terabyte card is literally 1/2 or a 1/3 the price of a real one and with little to no reviews only a fool would let their greed get the best of them....
@Yalloo it is from a gameplay perspective because that is the gameplay 😂 this game could not be done except in videogame format because the multipliers and synergies and indeed sheer numbers of items could not be done otherwise. you seem to be getting hung up on the issue of "cards" tbh. Cards are only an aspect of the game here. The actual key thing is not the cards, the decks and the bonus but the outcome of the choices you make being relayed to you with immediacy. Don't you think the fact that there are so many people liking this game must mean that there is something in it!
@Yalloo it's a pure dopamine receptor activator game. And if you give it a few runs you will see it. There are decisions to be me made in every in every "interaction" of which there are many, despite the fact that you are not using a d-pad to control a character obviously.
@Bret Flushes are definitely the way to get your first winning runs. Straights even with the shortcut or 4 card flush and straight card are annoying. level up flush with the planet cards, colour the deck to one deck using tarot cards. rinse and repeat! level up straight flush if you don't find the flush card in planet. look out for the voucher that gives you your favoured planet card! raise chips and mults with jokers.
I don't have a problem reading text in general but handheld in this game is a disaster in terms of text size. I turned off the crt filters but it's still bad. would be worse on the switch lite I imagine. Defintiely needs some polish there on switch as handheld is the way to play it.
Isn't there a song that goes "2 out of 3 ain't bad". This game was never going to run well on switch given its history of performance on much more powerful hardware. 20 patches wouldn't change that.
Possibly promising but haver never been a fan of floaty "jet-pack" (41 seconds) type movement dynamics or the character "arrow shoot" (47 seconds) one either. Both of which are on display here in the trailer....
Demo shows that the game looks good and runs well. However they missed a trick by not really providing much substance in the demo runtime. Should have put a bit more meat on it to really hook you in. Which is the point of a demo after all. There was not much thrown in on the combat side imo
@-wc- fair enough. but I just find it hard to empathise with that -> not having the ability to look where I want when I want feels so clunky and restrictive. ""Ship of Harkinian" is a great experience for Ocarina imo and also adds lots of other great features and much better framerates and textures and much more. You could play original "perspective" if you want!
"Ship of Harkinian" version is the way to play this game.
Having camera controls on the second stick is essential these days imo and not having them when playing a 3D game just feels ANCIENT. That feature is not in the 3DS Ocarina. But it is in the Majora's Mask 3DS game.
@Gau Blazing Chrome was badly designed and balanced I thought alright. what was your complaint with it? Cyber Shadow, although not exactly the same type of game is much much better.
@The_Pixel_King yeah, not every cross-platform game developer can put the money into optimising for a low-wattage tablet chip from 2015 in 2023 if the sales figures are never likely to justify it
there are a shortage of these sort of games on the switch
only one that I can think of being similar is "Battle Planet - judgement day" can anyone think of anything similar that is decent?
The OOT ship of Harkinian port is amazing because you have right-stick camera which is a complete game-changer (along with increased fps, anti-aliasing etc etc)
@bluemage1989 well it's like $60 in the US for the game so $4000 is like less than 70 copies of the game. For a game that will sell at least 1 million copies - not so much.
Iron Crypticle is a brilliant twin-stick shooter with endless and a sort of rpg rogue lite mode also. Excellent risk-reward combo item collection system too.

@sketchturner never played a deckbuilder in my life because they seemed as you say. you will get the loop here in 20 minutes though.
Re: Review: Balatro (Switch) - Devilishly Compelling Cardplay, And A Clear GOTY Contender
@Farts_Ahoy turn on high contrast cards in settings for different colours in handheld

Re: Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Devs Promise New Content & Free Updates In The Future
After all the crapping on Ubisoft this is the best game on Switch so far in 2024 so far for many and no sign of it being surpassed yet.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Tomb Raider I-III Remastered
Seems like there is only so much they could do with the controls though...

Too bad about the performance (still).

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown
I have tried the demo and it runs really well and looks good too on the switch. However, it just feels a little bit generic somehow.
Re: Talking Point: What Will The 'Switch 2' Actually Be Called?
The Nintendo Jaguar - has that ring to it!

Nintendo cash-grab special
Re: Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster Confirmed For Nintendo Switch
@MattmanForever I get that but this game is "too basic" for my tastes. and it was quite short also if I recall...
Re: Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster Confirmed For Nintendo Switch
This game is a bit too basic these days imo. Not sure it warrants a re-release.
Re: NASCAR Arcade Rush Is Starting Its Engine On Switch Next Month
A really good Daytona USA rip-off would be great if done well but this doesn't look like it.....
Re: Best Retro Throwback Nintendo Switch Games - Modern Games With Old-School Style

Cyber Shadow, although not exactly the same type of game is much much better.

This new version reminds me of "Shadow Complex".
I liked that game.
Re: Talking Point: Has Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition On Switch Improved Since Launch?
@marcelominucelli no more updates. last update was 7 months ago.
Re: Rumour: Metal Gear Solid 4, 5, and Peace Walker May Be Included In Vol. 2 Collection
@StarPoint it actually ran well on old 2015 laptop cpu integrated intel graphics so a switch could handle it no issue
Re: Review: Puzzle Bobble Everybubble! - Bubbles Over With Charm (And Useless Bots)
@Agent_P Bubble Bobble practically invented multiplayer tbh. There is a Den of Geek article that puports that it's the greatest Co-op Video Game Ever Made and they may well be right. Although wasn't always a Co-op experience lol!

Vlogging queuing is surely to be considered utterly pointless.

Re: Aeterna Noctis Follow-Up, Summum Aeterna, Slashes Onto Switch Late 2023
@Neckcrane I read that it's not even a constant 30 fps on the switch - for a game that hard that's not a runner.
