Redeemed a code for 12 months a week ago, still haven't received my bonus 2 months email. Nice of them to not tell people that code redemptions seemingly don't count for the promo.
It did state "purchase any 12 month membership...", so I feel misled.
Extended my NSO + Expansion Pack Family for a year using a code from ShopTo for £43 (instead of £59.99). Hopefully it'll still count and I'll get the extra 2 months email.
With the lack of first party Switch games this month, it would've been an ideal time to release stuff like Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Wario Land 4, Metroid Zero Mission, etc.
Oh well, Japanese games are better than random shovelware at least.
I find the Switch home menu/UI incredibly barebones and frankly quite depressing and isolating. It even puts me off of playing my Switch sometimes, to be honest.
Yes it's fast and fluid, which I appreciate. Yes it's just a game launcher and doesn't matter when you're playing a game. Still, it's my opinion/feelings on the matter.
I appreciate you showing footage of the Recollection version of Another Code R in the video review. Nintendo seemed to avoid showing it at all costs in their own marketing.
Good review. The score means nothing to me though, I'd be buying this even if it had a Metacritic score of 1.
Question - Is the song Blue Skies still often playing when you explore Lake Juliet? My favourite track in the original Wii version.
I don't mind paying £60/$70 for bigger games like Metroid Prime 4, but if they start charging that much for stuff like WarioWare and Big Brain Academy, they're gonna have a problem.
It's only £21.85 from ShopTo so I'm getting it for my collection, but I doubt I'll play it more than once or twice. The logo, horse and smartphone use make it look even worse than the original 1-2-Switch tbh.

Interested, but the physical copy is exclusive to GAME in the UK, and considering the already high £34.99 price, I don't fancy paying a mandatory £4.99 for delivery. Amazed that company is still in business tbh

Re: Review: Volgarr The Viking II (Switch) - One Of The Switch's Best 2D Action Platformers
@JCLKaytwo Agreed. I cannot stand this website's obsession with "we" and "us" in reviews.
I (sorry, "we") often avoid reading them because of it.

Re: Review: Volgarr The Viking II (Switch) - One Of The Switch's Best 2D Action Platformers
Sounds cool but looks like an old flash game.

Re: Review: Braid: Anniversary Edition (Switch) - Exquisite Commentary Elevates This Indie All-Timer
Price is a little high, I feel.
Re: Zelda Master Sword Replica Joins Tamashii Nation's 'Proplica' Line In 2024
I have a plastic one that cost about £20 and looks pretty much the same, I'm happy with that.
Re: Random: Crystal-Studded Nintendo DS Expected To Reach £15,000 At Upcoming Auction
Lol, weird seeing Nintendo Life linking/thanking Swindon Advertiser.
Re: SteamWorld Heist Is Getting A Surprise Sequel On Switch This Summer
Preferred the more spacey theme of the first game but this still looks cool.

Re: Princess Peach: Showtime! Demo Now Available On The Switch eShop
@mmmark I'm in the UK and downloaded the demo last night.
Re: Review: Ufouria: The Saga 2 (Switch) - A Cheerful Throwback To Sunsoft's '90s Platformers
Read the review, watched a trailer and was interested and then I saw it's £20 on the eShop even with a launch discount. Bit too pricey.
Re: Review: Splatoon 3: Side Order - An Addictive Roguelite Just Shy Of Excellence
I like it but have no idea how it took them so long unless they wanted to really polish it or intentionally held back the release.
Re: Review: Alisa Developer's Cut (Switch) - An Excellent RE Homage That Nails The '90s Vibe
Just played the eShop demo, really enjoyed it and loved the atmosphere. Instantly bought the full game.
Re: It's Official, 3DS And Wii U Online Play Ends 8th April 2024
I just want to know if 3DS System Transfers will still be available.

I've got all 10, really enjoy them. Great in short bursts.

Re: Zelda's Voice Actor Would "Love" To Reprise Her Role In The Live-Action Movie
No thanks. Worst part of BotW/TotK.
Re: Braid: Anniversary Edition Out Next Year, But There's No Mention Of A Switch Release
130 million+ potential lost sales. What a dumb decision.
Re: Review: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 6 - Takes The Chequered Flag With A Safe Final Lap
I'm just glad MK8D is seemingly over. So bored of the handling/physics. Time for a completely new game.
Re: Review: Sonic Superstars - A Fine, Authentic-Feeling Return That Runs Great On Switch
£54.99 is way too much, I'll pick it up when it's £40 or less.
Re: Sonic Superstars' New Multiplayer Battle Mode Detailed By SEGA
Looking forward to the game but £54.99 is too high and I've no interest in this mode, so idk.
Re: Review: Quake II - Another Truly Outstanding Remaster Of An FPS Icon
I like how in the vault you can play a couple of old demo versions of the game, such as a build from E3 '97.
Re: Nintendo Download: 10th August (North America)
Seems strange to include RDR when it isn't out for another 7 days.
Re: Falling Block Puzzle Platformer 'Unidentified Falling Objects' Drops Onto Switch Today
The blocks remind me of Mr Driller, which is a good thing.
Will wait for NL or elsewhere to review it.
Re: Review: PixelJunk Scrappers Deluxe - A Unique Brawler Littered With Multiplayer Greatness
I'll wait for a sale.
Re: Mini Review: Patrick's Parabox - An Exemplary Puzzler That Thinks Outside The Box
Looks cool but £17.99 is a bit steep. If it was under a tenner it'd be an impulse buy. Too many digital-exclusives are (IMO) overpriced these days.
Re: Feature: Our Predictions For The June 2023 Nintendo Direct
Already leaked:
2D Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario RPG remake.
Detective Pikachu.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's GBA Library Next Week With Fire Emblem
Can't stand Fire Emblem. Good for those who care though.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
Collectors Edition. I don't want to pay £60 to rent the game until the eShop is taken down.
Re: Surprise! The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan Is Now Available On Switch
Still got those huge black bars so it's a pass for me.
Re: Nintendo Announces Super Mario Sale, Wave One Starts This Week (Europe)
Personally I'm glad they don't devalue their IP/software like other companies. Seeing AAA games sell for a couple of quid is depressing.
Re: Review: Kirby's Return To Dream Land Deluxe - A Suitably Dreamy Encore For One Of Kirby's Best
Metroid Prime, totally overhauled - £35.
Kirby Wii, added black outlines - £50.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The February 2023 Nintendo Direct?
Started great with Pikmin 4, then boring with too much weeb stuff, then amazing with GB/GBA, Prime Remastered and TotK.
Re: Rhythm Sprout
Review when?
Thanks.
Re: Atari And Jeff Minter's Psychedelic Shmup 'Akka Arrh' Lands Release Date
It's been listed on the eShop with this date for weeks now.

Re: Best Zombie Games On Nintendo Switch
Resident Evil Remake is amazing but the Switch port has annoying load times.
Re: Review: Smurfs Kart - Not As Smurf As Smurf, But Surprisingly Smurf
Definitely the game all Nintendo fans were waiting for a review of.
Re: Mini Review: Windosill - A Cult Classic Puzzler Gets A Dreamy Switch Port
Downloaded it and finished it in 20 minutes. It was pretty cool I guess.
Re: Rumour: Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, And Paper Mario Might All Be Getting Fan PC Ports
Haven't used the Ignore function on this website until now, thanks for that feature at least.
