Sick of the negativity tbh. I'll just say I'm having a great time with my subscription, and I'm so glad that NERD vastly improved upon the Wii U N64 VC emulator, because the games were so dull and dark. Now, they're bright, vibrant, and look lovely on my OLED Model.
Have fun complaining everyone. Have fun jumping on the bandwagon for clicks, NL.
These articles (or forum posts) always frustrate me because you do not need to create a new dummy account, you can just change the region of your own, and change it back after.
Adore it. Only downsides for me are my (beautiful!) art cards have a curve to them, and the first two pages of the (beautiful!) artbook were partially stuck together, leaving a few white tear marks across those mostly black pages.
Loved the first. Instadownloaded this. I like it after an hour of play, but it feels much more outdoorsy and natural than all the metal and sci-fi stuff in the first, which is a slight shame.
Will laugh so much if they release an OLED model, all the while boasting about the improved colours and contrast, only to still limit the home menu to black and white.
£50 for a digital only release of obscure, niche Japanese games doesn't entice me very much, especially as you're forced to buy both as one digital package here (I believe they're separate releases in NA).
Will wait for a sale but as Nintendo is the publisher, I expect to see 10% off in 2 or 3 years.
I'd assumed it was something like that. Maybe it's even the Editor doing it. I just find it so incredibly distracting and it pulls me out of what I'm reading immediately.
"Disasterpiece’s soundtrack is an absolute treat, and is something that we’ve even enjoyed outside of the game on long drives".
Sentences like this make me cringe. I'm pretty sure the Nintendo Life staff don't huddle up in a car and go out on drives together while listening to the Fez soundtrack. Not everything in these articles needs to be we we we 🙄
Cool. Now they can continue adding awesome characters and costumes to everything Mario Kart related, except for the one big Mario Kart game on their own console ☺️
Funny how a third party accessory manufacturer can... manufacture and distribute a Crash 4 product, but Activision's UK/EU department can't do the same for the game it's based on 🤔🤷🏻♂️
I recall empty promise quotes like the following, and laugh:
"With this in mind, we are currently planning ways to boost the appeal of the service on a yearly basis... It is very important to our future business and we are giving it our all."

Re: Review: Fatal Frame: Maiden Of Black Water - A Ghostly Wii U Treat Resurfaces On Switch
"Camera isn't great".
For a game all about cameras (and spooks), that's ironic.

So wasteful.
Re: Oh No, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp Has Been Delayed On Switch
Wayforward doing too many unpolished projects at once and Nintendo being unhappy with the state of it would be my guess.
I'm fine with the delay though really, as I'm excited for the new Big Brain Academy the same day.
Re: My Friend Peppa Pig Releases Today On Switch, Here's The Launch Trailer
They nailed the art style and graphics. Bet it looks stunning on the OLED Model.
Hope it's fun to play for kids or whoever else may want to play it.
Re: Toy Soldiers HD Is Delayed Further For Switch
Hmm, doubt I'll buy it then. Should delay all versions, IMO.
Re: Nintendo Recommends Some Games To Check Out On The Switch OLED Model
Death Ray Manta looks and sounds amazing on the OLED Model and is a great twin stick shooter in general.
Re: PSA: Sensitive To PWM Flicker? You'll Want To Keep The Switch OLED's Screen Nice And Bright
I can see 3D perfectly and I don't see any flickering on my OLED.
Lucky Mii.

Game is amazing.
Re: Exclusive: Eugene Jarvis Talks Cruis'n Blast And The "Joy" Of Working With Nintendo Again
If Nintendo own the IP (which I already knew about), why aren't they publishing the game on Switch?
Serious question.

I'd go with Cosmic Express

Any objections lady?

I like videogames
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD - A Remaster That Truly Soars
Not sure I understand the wording in the cons. It's not like they'd use an unofficial amiibo.
Re: Nintendo Confirms New Camera Controls For Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
The game always felt very corridor-esque. This freedom of camera will alleviate that a lot.
Re: Gallery: Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) In All Its Glory

You do you, Nintendo.

Re: Review: FEZ - A Mind And World-Bending Puzzle Platformer That Deserves A Second Look
@AlexSora89
Oh, that wasn't what I meant! I just think it looks so out of place when they say 'we' in place of 'I' all the time. I was just nitpicking really.

Looks like the most generic game ever made.
Re: Mini Review: Densha de Go! Hashiro Yamanote Line - Yes, You Just Drive A Train
Are there really that many weeb trainspotters about?
Re: Arika Announces Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash For Nintendo Switch
That's great, but how about a Dr Mario game... on the latest dedicated Nintendo hardware.
Re: Review: Figment (Switch eShop)
@WrongChops and again!
Re: Stick Fight: The Game Makes A Surprise Appearance On Nintendo Switch Today
A game listed in the eShop Coming Soon section with a release date of today releasing today isn't much of a surprise now, is it?
Re: Feature: Intriguing Switch eShop Games That Caught Our Eye - 31st March
Pro-tip for the eShop: If it's published by a company called 'Pix Arts', avoid it.
Re: Talking Point: Which Old Game Series Would You Like To See Revived?
F-Zero (Still no entry with online and HD, as well as the lack of good racers on Switch).
Advance Wars (Without any of the weeb romance crap from FE).
Wario Land/Wario World/WarioWare.

That's nice, but it's still 600MB too much.
Re: Feature: 10 Pokémon Spin-Offs You May Have Forgotten About
Played and own them all aside from the weeb Conquest game, which I've no interest in.
Re: PT-Inspired First-Person Psychological Horror Evil Inside Comes To Switch Next Week
It's listed on the UK PS5 Store, so I'm sure the Switch version will be on the EU eShop.
Re: Review: Everhood - A Mad Mix Of RPG, Rhythm Action, Kart Racing And Bullet-Hell Shmup
Been enjoying it since day one. Great game, feels important. I'm sure it could've managed a 10 if not for the bad grammar and such.

Re: Feature: A Brief History Of Nintendo’s Home Hardware Add-Ons
Still have my UK launch day Game Boy Player set.
Re: Nintendo Isn't Backing Down On Its Decision To Pull Mario Products From Stores This Month
Wouldn't at all surprise me if they remove All-Stars from the SNES Switch Online app too, just because they can.
Super Mario Bros. 35 ceasing to exist is such a waste. Really hoping for an expanded "Plus" retail release later this year.
Re: Video: We Take A Look At The Hidden Mario Golf Game That Didn't Star Mario
An article/video with content that interests me and opinions I agree with. Oh look, it's from Jon.
He saved this site tbh.
Re: Preview: Ghosts 'n Goblins: Resurrection Is Going To Hurt You, A Lot
Take £15 or £20 off of the price, and sure 👍

Re: Review: Grindstone - A Thrilling And Compelling Puzzle Adventure

Not an Apple Arcade user, so Switch was my first time playing it.
Re: Review: DOOM Eternal - This 'Impossible' Port Is Nothing Short Of A Miracle
£49.99 for a digital-only version of a game I've already 100% completed.
No.

Ew, Ratalaika Games. I see their name, I avoid.
