Is the bottom screen always just plain black as the eShop screenshots suggest?

I've seen people on Nintendo Facebook groups who think you need a phone and the app just to even play Splatoon 2 online.

An own goal indeed.

When are you reviewing it?

Feels like a demo and in my experience online is unplayable. Worst game I've bought in a while.

I use the 3D 100% of the time and it still impresses to this day, seeing as you asked in the video.

Also, I'm sure you just meant in terms of save data for physical games, but I strongly disagree that 4GB is enough for a 3DS/2DS. It's fine if you're just starting out though I guess.

Anyway, can't wait to get one.

One of the best games I played on PS4 last year. Found out about it by accident and was intrigued, ended up absolutely loving it. I highly recommend it if you play an instrument (or want to), and/or you like awesome dark hardcore rhythm games.

Gonna be double dipping and supporting this Switch release on launch day. I bet HD rumble will be amazing on it.

I have a 64GB micro-SD card, but I'll be getting both games physically.

Can't wait! Huge fan of the Hotel Dusk and Another Code series'.

Color Splash and Star Rush physically, plus the Chase discount. Can't wait for that game, Hotel Dusk is one of my favourite games of all time.

Instant buy for me. Reasons:

1. The first game was great and the preview of this was also great.
2. Releasing in Europe same day as NA. Rare for Renegade Kid.
3. Renegade Kid does what Nintendon't (Cross-buy).
4. Launch loyalty discount.
5. It's out on my birthday.

DPD tracking shows my game/amiibo/soundtrack bundle will be delivered in an hour

If this, SMA and SMA 2 don't release in Europe I'll be so pissed. I still have my boxed carts but I'll gladly throw money at NoE for them on Wii U.

I've had that music streaming app on my Wii U for months. It must've been removed from the Wii U eShop shortly after its original release.

It was £8 new on Amazon last week. Not sure if those sales count for these charts though.

I'll be upgrading MK64, but I'm a bit concerned that there's no "This is the US version of the game" in the press release.

Hopefully it's prep for home menu themes or something.

3DS eShop is a complete joke at this point. So many wasted GB/GBC games.

I'll be grabbing Drill Dozer and probably NSMB Wii even though I've got it physically.

Wii downloads are not Virtual Console games, they're Wii downloads.

VC = emulated retro games, hence "Virtual".

Wii games = running natively on Wii U.

@MikeW it was pretty much moving a black dot around a birds-eye view track.

I also loved Wave Race 64. If I recall I swapped one of my N64 games with the ice cream van man to get it lol.

Bought Blue Storm at launch and also loved it.

How about Wave Race Resort set around Wuhu Island using Miis?

Mario Party 11, Wii Music U and Metroid Surfing will be announced.

Animal Crossing: Happy Gardening In the Garden! will be the only new game for 3DS.

Maybe because people actually want amiibo, but they don't want Star Wars toys which only work with one game.

Is there any particular reason that NES (and more recently N64) VC games are so dark?

Some parts of DK64 were near-impossible with the already bright but apparently not bright enough TV settings I had.

So many good DS games, and so long since the first 2 were added to the Wii U eShop, and they choose Yoshi's Island DS.

How disappointing.

I've got a lot of play out of it and I'm currently rank 54.

I'd maybe drop the score to a 7 personally though because if you're out of diamonds it can be frustrating playing roulette to play the stage you need to.

You get Pokemon White Version 2 free with New 3DS/XL systems at Argos at the moment, so that's most likely why.

Please let the VC related stuff from that "leak" be real, particularly N64 VC.

I had hoped that one of the USB plugs was for data, while the other was for power.

Could you guys try plugging one into a USB mains adapter or a different console for power, and one in the Wii U for data?

The fact that each plug is a different colour does support my theory, so hopefully. It'd at least give people with limited ports more options, as touched on in the review.

Lol. No way is this a 2/10. I love games like Hotel Dusk and Another Code, and I've always enjoyed the MCF games on Nintendo platforms.

If you have similar tastes and were intrigued by this game, don't let this review put you off.

The game is easily a 7/10 for me.

Not really into football. Too chavvy for my liking.

Even if I were, I'm not sure I'd pay£13 for a handheld football game that has pixel art graphics.

I'd have bought it, but seeing as they're only delaying the Wii U version, I'll be immature (armature? haha) and not buy it now.

Looks alright, but it reminds me of Trine 2 and I got bored of that after a few hours and unfortunately didn't finish it.

I enjoyed the Wii game (The Malgrave Incident I think it was). I really liked the atmosphere of the scenes you could move around in. Are there similar scenes in this one?

Also, is the 3DS' wider top screen taken advantage of, or does it have black borders on the sides?
