So if I want to replay the main game, am I expected to delete my 100% complete save file, or did they add an extra slot like the Zelda Switch 2 Editions?
I know you can create another User on the console and play it from the start again that way, but I don’t want to do that, and I want my play time to continue increasing on my own User and profile page.
@blockfight I’ve no interest in purchasing a game that is badly optimised. There is no reason this game should take up more space than games like Tears of the Kingdom and Resident Evil Requiem.
Plus, as I said, 1080p docked is unacceptable. Switch 2 has significantly more processing power available when docked so this game could and should be outputting at native 4K, or at minimum 1440p. Sounds like they just couldn’t be bothered.
“And given the enormous number of monsters likely to be chasing and/or jumping suddenly towards you on just one day later on Switch 2 (courtesy of Capcom), a little genuine alone time sounds great”.
What?
Edit: I guess you’re referring to Resident Evil Requiem releasing the following day, which is totally unrelated and the way it was worded made it sound like Pools is being released on Switch 2 by Capcom one day after the Switch version.
I’m finding the button and stick controls rather unwieldy and almost unplayable, but I realise they did the best they could considering how the games were originally designed.
So glad they’re doing a screen protector. I’ve been scratching my Switch 2 up for the past four months because only a Turtle Beach branded one will do!
Would’ve bought it for the fact it isn’t a Game-Key Card, but what’s the point when the version on the card will be outdated if and when the 60fps patch drops?
I bought the Upgrade Pack the night it came out and the resolution is abysmal, it looks worse than the Switch version. Really poorly implemented DLSS, with artefacts and heavy blur. The framerate is quite smooth however.
@canaryfarmer Official Nintendo Magazine UK once gave a poster of Phantom Hourglass art, but they put the logo for Twilight Princess at the bottom, and spelled Twilight wrong (“Twighlight”).
"£39.99" suggests a UK release to me, so that's great. Will be getting this instantly.
Also, samushunter on X recently correctly leaked the Xenoblade Chronicles X DE announcement, and they're now saying Metroid Prime 2 Remastered should arrive around February 2025, having apparently been pushed into Q1 2025 from this year.
For some reason it's listed in the eShop with a release date of October 31st, despite releasing yesterday, November 7th. For this reason it's quite far down the Recent Releases section of the eShop. Just search for "Broken Sword" instead.
The game also wasn't listed in the eShop coming soon section prior to release. I can never understand why publishers do this, it's like they're actively trying to ensure their game sells poorly.
We played Wii Sports and we loved it. We found ourselves weeing all over the floor from the sheer fun we had with our Wii. We've now cleaned up our wee and we want to tell you that we love you Nintendo and we love our Wii.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Pragmata For Switch 2?
PS5 version for ownership. Not interested in empty Game-Key Cards, and Capcom games on PS5 generally have an offline build on the disc.
I love my Switch 2 but why would I pay the same amount for a digital rental with worse performance and lower resolution?
Re: Review: Pragmata (Switch 2) - A Dazzling Puzzle-Shooter Driven By A Heartfelt Friendship
Looking forward to it. Had to get it for PS5 unfortunately because you own that version rather than rent it via an empty Game-Key Card.
Re: 007 First Light Shaken By Delay On Switch 2, Now Releasing After Other Consoles
Game-Key Card means I wouldn’t have been buying it anyway, sadly.
Re: Little Nightmares II Is Getting An 'Enhanced Edition' On Switch 2
@AlanShore Yeah, Namco’s handling of Switch 2 releases has been very poor. They’ve lost a lot of money from me due to it.
This will almost definitely be a Game-Key Card as well, so another skip from me.
Re: Horror FPS Amnesia: Rebirth Spooks Up A Storm On Switch 2 Next Month
Where’s the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Soma they promised last year?

Re: Hands On: Nintendo's My Mario Toy Series Is Cute, But Offers Mixed Value For Your Little Ones
I was looking forward to the wooden block set for the longest time, but in no universe am I paying £113.99 for bits of tree.
Re: Talking Point: Are You Tired Of The Talking Flower Yet?
I didn’t mind him in Wonder, but I also stopped playing Mario Tennis Fever because of him (I know you can turn him off in some modes).

Re: Review: Planet Of Lana 2: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Charming Trek Through A Fantastic World
Won’t be buying this because there is no excuse for a 6 hour long 2D game being 29.1GB lol.
1080p docked is also unacceptable on Switch 2.

Re: Free-To-Play Racer Asphalt Legends Gets A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
How is a mobile-looking game like this only at 1440p on Switch 2? It should be at 4K 60 without issue.
Re: Review: Simogo Legacy Collection - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Nothing Less Than Essential
I’m finding the button and stick controls rather unwieldy and almost unplayable, but I realise they did the best they could considering how the games were originally designed.
Re: Simogo Celebrates 15th Anniversary In Style With Switch 2 Ports, A Compilation, And A Gorgeous Book
You say Simogo Legacy Collection is coming to both Switch and Switch 2, but the eShop only lists a Switch version.
So is there actually a Switch 2 version, or are you just referring to the Switch version being playable on a Switch 2?
Re: Gallery: Here's A Closer Look At The London Pop-Up Nintendo Store's Sweet Merch
As expected, mostly stuff you can order online right now from the comfort of your own home, without having to potentially travel across the country.
Re: Review: BALL x PIT (Switch) - Ballsy, Beautifully Balanced, Mercilessly Addictive
Devolver recently (finally!) confirmed that the Switch 2 version will be a free upgrade when it eventually arrives, so I’m buying.

Re: Surprise! A New "Free-To-Start" Fire Emblem Game Is Out On Mobile Devices Today
I got all the Achievements in the other Fire Emblem mobile game, by using auto battle for everything just to get My Nintendo platinum points.
Have no interest in the game or franchise otherwise. Shame this one doesn’t seem to reward players with platinum points.
Re: Little Nightmares III 'Necropolis Demo' Now Available On Switch And Switch 2
Seems to run at a sub-native resolution in handheld mode, and the rumble is just generic/loud vibration.
Not the best first impression.
Re: Turbo Overkill: Ultimate Edition Gets A Surprise Release On Switch
@jeronmoore I suspected so. It’s a shame they’re being so weird with devkits.
Could you not add an option to unlock the framerate to 60fps for Switch 2 players, though?
Re: Turbo Overkill: Ultimate Edition Gets A Surprise Release On Switch
I’ll buy it if it’s enhanced on Switch 2. Seeing as it isn’t mentioned whatsoever, I’m guessing not.
Re: Review: Star Wars Outlaws (Switch 2) - An Underrated Adventure, A Super-Solid Port
I’m not interested in Ubisoft, Star Wars, or Game-Key Cards so it’s not for me, but I’m happy to see it’s a decent port.
Re: Mini Review: The Exit 8 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Unnerving Horror Loop Is Worth The Budget Price

Re: Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Appears To Now Have A Proper Physical Switch Release
Only seems to be a thing in North America. Disappointing that you of all sites would neglect to specify that.
Re: Mini Review: The House Of The Dead 2: Remake (Switch) - Erratic Controls Chomp At Another Classic
I had no issues with the first game. I’ll be buying this.
Joy-Con 2 are better for gyro controls, so that’ll help too.
Re: Mortal Kombat's Legacy Kollection Might Actually Get A Proper Physical Release On Switch 2
Cool, I’ll buy it now.
Re: DSiWare Game 'Handy Hockey' Makes A Return On Switch 2
I’ve known about it for a few days. Instant download on the 31st.
Re: Review: Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 Wheel - Flawed, But Still Fun
Almost two months to review a piece of plastic that adds no functionality 😬
Re: Hitman Developer Is Working On Switch 2 Performance Issues "Right Now"
Nice. Once they’ve fixed the game and re-released it as an actual physical version, I’ll gladly buy it for full price.
Re: Nintendo Download: 10th July (North America)
Wanted Patapon but even though a physical PEGI version exists, it isn’t available to buy anywhere in the UK.
Namco’s loss, not mine.
Re: Amazon Prime Day 2025 - Best Deals On Nintendo Switch Games, Controllers, 4KTVs, MicroSD Cards, And More
Lacklustre indeed.
Re: Review: Ruffy And The Riverside (Switch) - An Inventive Platformer That's More Than Copy-Paste
I’ve been interested in it for a while, but your sister site Push Square giving it a 5 has put me off a bit.
Re: Exclusive: Fast Fusion's First Major Update Arrives This Week With Three New Tracks

Re: Review: Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S (Switch 2) - A Disappointing Update For A Modern Puzzle Classic
It would seem that us in Europe and the UK aren't even given the option of a Game-Key Card.
Re: Review: Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (GBA) - The Series' Second Western Release Still Hits Hard
The only Nintendo series I have no interest in, so this NSO + EP update is a disappointment to me.
Happy for those who like it though.
Re: Review: Sorry We're Closed (Switch) - An Ethereal, Colourful Survival Horror Like No Other
Looks and sounds cool. £24.50 is steep, though. I'll have to look into it more.

How could anyone do this?
Re: Mini Review: Victory Heat Rally (Switch) - Great Looks, But Can't Quite Make The Podium
Insta-downloaded it. Loving it so far. It's like a modern-day GBA game.
Re: Rate Your Favourite Switch Games Of The Year 2024
Another Code: Recollection.
Huge fan of Cing and never expected the series to return.
Re: Surprise! Nightdive's 'The Thing: Remastered' Is Out Now On The eShop
It's not on the UK eShop, not even via search.
Edit: Ah, just saw the article update. If they can't release a digital game worldwide simultaneously in 2024 I'll buy something else instead
They've said on Twitter it isn't coming to Europe until December 30th lol. I'll definitely pass.
Re: Review: Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer (Switch) - Terrible Tunes, But 'Box & Bond' Adds A Personal Touch
Wild that Nintendo publishes these games, they look like shovelware.

It's a shame that it doesn't seem to keep a record of your wake-up time when you have it on button mode.
Re: Review: Crow Country (Switch) - A PS1-Style Horror Homage That Blends Old With New
"We almost threw our Switch out of the window".
Do the entire Nintendo Life team sit there huddled around their one single Switch while doing a review?
No. Please stop this.
