@Dr_Corndog I'm probably using a bad match up, my character is Ganon who's norotiously slow. But there is zero down time between Min Min being able to attack and then dodge. Me and my brother are both part of the Elite mode online so we aren't bad players. When we play each other it's just impossible to land an attack. I can read his moves well and know when to time a block or dodge but then there's zero opportunity to counter as he can just roll away to distance. There should always be a reward and an opportunity to counter yet there is rarely one. Again- perhaps a bad example and my win rate is pretty much 50% at the minute which is fair enough. But yeah, she's fast, she's powerful, up smash trumps Ganon's down+B move, her down smash covers either side of her. Ridiculous
I read the original announcement properly, I knew to not expect any first party content. But I still expected some BIG announcements from the likes of EA, Bethesda, Capcom etc etc. You know maybe something like Mass Effect Andromeda, Doom Eternal release date, maybe Resi 7 etc. All of the announcements in that 'Direct' could have just been released as tweets and no one would have been arsed that they weren't announced in a bigger way
@Cosats yeah note taken. I just took from it that in the earliest days of development, devs were commenting on how developing appeared to be a doddle compared to on previous hardware.
I'm expecting a massive explosion of content to come from Nintendo and their second party devs.
By condensing all of their home console and handheld efforts into just one platform- I expect that any software they started at the end of the 3DS's life cycle will be there or thereabouts ready to reveal on Switch- given they will have had 2-3 years to prepare something by now.
In theory we should be seeing double the amount of Nintendo's own IP on a single console, shouldn't we?
announce a Nintendo Lego game already. Would a game with dozens of playable characters across various Nintendo worlds built from Lego. Or at the very least just do a Lego Mario game.
@Dimey assuming not. No game will be developed with analogue triggers in mind and no game will be in the future as you'd only be catering for those with said controller in mind. Massive shame.
Won't be downloading anything after Nintendo put a 30 day block on my switch and all it's connected accounts due to suspicious activity. By suspicious they mean buying Fe on the Russian eshop and then trying to buy Flipping Death on the South African eshop. Even though I've frequently bought from multiple regions in quick succession before. Absolute refusal to take off the 30 day block and no further explanation offered. Can use pre paid eshop vouchers or paypal, but that's no good when you can only buy from the eshop region which matches your paypal region, in my case the UK, which isn't ideal when UK games are often 20-50% more expensive than in other regions. Sh*t show!
@beazlen1 yes I know this. Last night the eShop was just unusable. When scrolling down the games for sale in some cases it was taking about 10 seconds for the next row of games to appear and even then it would only load the next dozen or so games before having to load again. Not only that there's always a massive lag when inputting commands to move around the eshop. Don't know if it's because I only have about half a GB of memory left on the console itself but I wouldn't have thought that would have anything to do with it. Everything else works fine!
@Silly_G absolutely. In our house when I was a kid there were 3 of us with DS's- having download play was fantastic and it definitely squeezed hours and hours out of our consoles that we would definitely never have had if we each had to own a copy of the same game to play together
Please please please update it so that you can craft more than one item at once. Why am I having to stand there for 5 minutes just to make a dozen fish bait? And why craft a flimsy tool, to then have to craft again to make a normal tool? Just let me craft the normal tool the first time round with the extra resources!
My 6 year olds collection consists of Crafted World, Captain Toad, Super Kirby Clash, Yoku's Island Express and The Big Journey.
Always on the lookout for games which don't require a ton of reading to be able to progress and not story driven. If anyone has any recommendations throw them my way.
Super One More Jump is absolutely incredible. The best value for money game on the Switch at this price with the sheer amount of modes, unlockables, stages etc
The most successful game studio on the planet which has turned into the laziest. I don't want to even imagine what sort of money they have available to them in order to increase their staff so that they can take their games to the next level. To put it into comparison, they still only have around 140 members of staff... The guys who made Witcher 3, over 800!
it'll impact it when even less developers moan that they can't get their games working on the switch because of the demands of their new games, leaving the switch to go down the route of the Wii U with nothing but 1st party and indies to rely on. And loads of old ports.
@Friendly just finished Heist last night, all 20 hours of it. Absolutely incredible, never thought I'd be a big fan of it given the genre but at about £3 or whatever it cost me I thought I'd take the plunge. Suffice to say it was one of my favourite games of all time.
Completed Dig 2 when it first came out. Would you still recommend Dig 1 or would you say I've seen all that series has to offer?
Going to get Quest anyway as at the moment the developer can't do any wrong.
@Iacobus probably, but I don't see why pre ordering an item on a digital store should be any different than pre ordering a physical copy in an actual store, where you most definitely can cancel a preorder.
I also don't agree with not being able to get a refund on a game that hasn't been opened and played yet. If I download a game and don't play on it, I should then be able to get a refund as it's the equivalent of taking back a brand new unopened game to my local game store.

Re: Kirby Studio HAL Laboratory Relocates Its Tokyo Base To Nintendo's New Building
@westman98 oh right, fair enough if you have first experience on that front, but that theory is the complete antithesis of what has been said by various indie developers, especially if it isn't a particularly power hungry game. Take this article for instance https://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/293404/Whats_it_like_developing_for_the_Switch_9_indie_studios_weigh_in.php
